i liked this video bc i love skincare but my main concern is you shouldn't do skincare ON the plane, you should do it before! it is so dry so its best to have your skin protected before you are even in the flight. not to mention you MUST wear spf on a plane so that should be on your skin the whole time!
Yes!! That is totally what I was thinking. Especially since the pressure and the cabin air can be so rough on your skin. I’ve heard you’re better off using a really thick moisturizer and adding sun screening before you get on, cleansing directly after you get off, and then adding a regular moisturizer and sunscreen again after.
Completely agree. Also, incidentally, I've heard physical sunscreens link zinc can act a barrier against germs that are floating around in that recycled cabin air, preventing you from getting zits after long haul flights.

Alexa is my ultimate girl crush! I adore her completely!!! HOWEVER, the air on airplanes is so dry and full of bacteria that you really should avoid doing any skincare ON the plane. Unless she is only travelling domestically within the USA and is TSA pre-approved (allowed additional liquids and to not empty their electronics blah-blah-blah) then the bottle/container must remain under 100ml/3.4fl.oz!! She IS talking nonsense. Also, don't do all of this on the plane. Nothing is clean. Stop touching everything. It's gross! :')
Please no one do this on a plane. Planes are SO DIRTY, SO DRY. Prep skin with a hydrating routine before you fly and be sure to wear SUNSCREEN as you'll be closer to the the suns rays. After leaving the plane, wash the air gunk from the plane from your face and do your regular skin routine- finishing with sunscreen if it's daytime.

I guess you all aren’t wearing face mask, eye mask, window closed sleep until exactly when the food and drink comes to chomp chow and Hoover 2 quick drinks to go back to sleep. Lol. I don’t let the sun see me on planes! Admittedly I also try to fly at night.
Oh yeah, and one more thing I bring: a small, permitted size bottle of eye-safe micellar water like Bioderma Sensibio. That way, if I sleep on the plane or am just bleary when we arrive, I can use a clean tissue of my own and a dab of micellar water to freshen up my eyes before I have to go back out into the world. Sometimes I put some behind my ears too, or on my neck--it's a nice refreshing feel and much nicer than water out of the faucet in the germy lavatory!
@@ewwitsemily I was def misinformed and this is correct... but that no way changes anything. Humidity is still really low and dry, so prepping skin before a flight is still your best bet to keeping skin properly hydrated.
@@MsNatiBug so glad that you keep your window closed!! Haha I would offer then to wear a highly moisturizing/hydrating cream or gel mask instead of a sheet mask. The air is super dry and it's been said sheet masks pull back their hydration if they're on too long or dry out too fast.

I'm convinced that in-flight beauty is only for business class or up. I fly 100+ hours each year and I've never seen anyone doing any sort of beauty treatment.
It's also a bad thing for your skin, you're not cleansing the makeup off well enough, probably getting more bacteria on your face even on business class + it's like doing your skincare in a desert. It's better to do it before and prep your skin before you come into desert conditions.

Rio said her 4 oz container is over-limit for carry-on, and it is- max is 3 oz., then added she takes some out to meet limit. That is not TSA allowed. If a container is labeled over 3 oz TSA considers it over limit, no matter how much product is actually inside.
I assumed she meant took some out and put it into a smaller container to bring on the plane, this is always what I do when I travel with all my skin and hair products.
I wonder how one might use the items just in the pantry or in general to keep skin healthy when below the poverty line at this time. So far this year have experimented with 🍯, egg, oat, 🍌, baking powder and coconut oil. Also began drinking tons of water, green tea and taking supplements and 🍊 juice and cleansing, massaging and moisturing my face day and night. I keep my massage tools and moisturizers on the area between the inside and outside of my window panes in my washroom and here in Canada that means free refridgeration 3/4 of the year. Thank you to these cool and creative cats for this lovely video, supporting each other and sharing healthy, eco-friendly products. This reminded me of my sweet and salty relationship with my sister. 🍀💕💞🦄😊🙏
Aloe Vera is the best option always.... i use creams with aloe vera and they make my skin healthier. Also i recommend you drink aloe vera! your skin shows what you eat. :) . Thank you for your videos Alexa.

*Always* do your skincare before going on a flight with clean hands. Doing it in the plane will result in you smearing all the germs and grime into your skin. Plus, most airports are very drying to the skin because of the ACs even prior to flying.
There are a lot of decent facemasks in Korea, which are affordable and suit various skin types. I do travel a lot for business trips and I actually figured out that most of foreigners(I mean who are not from Korea) do love K-beauty and Korean facemasks so I always bring them as a small gift. If any of you have never tried Korean facemasks yet, that would be nice to try while/after watching this video!

I’m in a messy topknot, face mask and leopard print terry cloth robe, drinking a Tanqueray Gibson martini while face-timing her, telling her to put down the smokes and face mask with me. I think rio is so cute! I have a similar black sheer top with candy colored flecks. Mine doesn’t have hearts though, just polka dots. And I love love love her slight little overbite. The air on a plane isn’t actually dirty. It’s filtered through a HEPA filter multiple times an hour.
