Dichterliebe 33 - Ambient Symphonic by Angelia

Dichterliebe 33 is one of the pieces I have composed for the Schumann-IA project in collaboration with mezzo-soprano Laurence Malherbe. It is inspired by « A Poet’s Love » by Robert Schumann (1840) and the 33rd « Lyrisches Intermezzo » by Henrich Heine (1822):
« A lone fir tree stands on a barren mountain in the North. He sleeps. Ice and snow envelop it in a white coat. He dreams of a palm tree, which, over there, in the distant Orient, languishes, solitary and taciturn on the slope of a burning rock. »
This version is the one performed during the concert in the Dunkirk planetarium.
