These AliExpress Xeon combos are really a great value for anyone trying to get started with causal PC gaming at a pretty low pricepoint. It's not the newest platform, and you're kind of limited in terms of upgrade path; however, for the price, it's a good place to start from and get at least a few years' worth of gaming before upgrading to something more modern. Solid build, guys (except that hideous cooler)!!
They are good if they work. Most of these boards have huge problem with overheating VRM's. I built one just a few months ago and had to install additional heatsinks for the VRM's as they were running at 80C which would eventually lead to early death of the motherboard. My board also came with two dead RAM slots so I'm stuck with dual channel rather than the quad channel I would've preferred. Also worth noting is that get the V3 Xeon instead, such as 2670 V3. With a little bit of micro code removing and bios hacking (all tools and video available on youtube) you can unlock the cores. I'm running 2670 V3 at 3100Mhz all core without any issues.
That's a crazy good deal! I built one that I recently sold on my channel, but it had a better cpu, the E5 2680 v4, 32GB ram, 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD, AND a RX 5700, a complete build price of $320! I tested my cpu with Cinebench R24 and single thread while not great was decent enough. Where it really stood out was the multi-core score; scored significantly higher than the Ryzen 5 5600x! Great vid again guys! That gtx 1080 was a helluva deal!

@@TvosOlehead I would be happy to build one for you as long as you are located in Sydney Australia 😅 Honestly, most of the games you listed I have tested on high/to max settings and it was a smooth and 60fps experience on my $320 budget build but I got all the items during the singles day sale on 11.11 last year. My system now would likley cost around $100 to $200 more to build. If you were looking for around $300 you could build an rx 580 8gb 2048sp with a ryzen 5 2600 that will be able to handle all those games. I have another less than $300 build on my channel that shows just that if you wanted to check it out.

Not an issue with V3 xeons. You can unlock the all core turbo fairly easily by removing the bios micro code and applying a patch. All of that is 100% safe and takes a couple of minutes at most.
