Love the vid. Had my SD OLED for 10 months and gathered all of my childhood games including arcade shooters like house of the dead 2 through emulation and the deck runs (90%) smoothly. I really hope the emulation space gets more updates in the future, hoping to get better compatibility with xbox 360 emulation, there are some sequels and delisted games available in that platform that i'd love to collect in the Steam Deck.
Ordered a Steam Deck on Friday. My most recent consoles were the Switch and the 360. Can't wait to play the likes of Mass Effect, RDR2, Witcher 3, Ghost of Tsushima, Cyberpunk, Elden Ring, Spiderman and so much more. Easy choice to buy it since there's so many awesome games for me to catch up on, I don't need the most recent ones!
Windos handhelds have a pro for those only multiplayer gamers that need COD dopamine (other games, too), but the Deck is for casual gamers that don't want Windows nonesense and have a better time to navigate the OS with dual trackpads. So, for me, I prefer comfort with my hobby than struggling to get it work like I want. That's why I have my ps5 for the most heavy hitting games and then Deck Oled (also one of the very few to have HDR for a handheld) to play standalone or stream from PC (controller is just too comfortable to be beaten).
Been playing RD1, Balatro, Epic Mickey rebrushed, Pro Skater 1+2 and loads of emulators on my oled, and let me say this. This is the greatest purchase I’ve ever made outside of my actual Pc.
I purchased an ROG ally specifically because i needed the extra horsepower but also because i wanted a bazzite handheld. The ROG Ally community is childish and very uninformed, i was in a FB group and quit it two weeks in because of how ridiculous people are in this community. If you dared mention you installed bazzite and didn't keep windows people would throw rocks at you for not keeping the garbage windows 11. The Ally community seems to take it personally when you point out the obvious flaws of using windows on a handheld. Stuff like windows 11 being a mess to deal with, or the asus drivers needing a specific app in order to be kept up to date, or armory crate being an unstable piece of garbage software that freezes randomly or launches your games minimized instead of fullscreen (yes, that's an issue). Meanwhile on bazzite, it boots into steam's game mode and you're good to go
🤝 a human being everyone. Thanks for keepin it real. I think people get offended when you bring up those obvious flaws they must know about and have buyers remorse or don’t want to give into the steam os option. It should be a connected community for all handhelds since they do basically the same things. It comes down to gaming on the go but people get nuts. Thanks for watching!
@@JerryMeehanJr i tried using W11 on the ally for a week and i didn't last 3 days. The experience was really rough and janky as well as unpolished, it felt like everything was held together with scotch-tape and wood sticks. It's an ironic thing to say since on paper linux shouldn't be as good as it is for gaming but we sadly reached a point where microsoft no longer cares so it has given the time linux needed to catch up.
