He looks silly? yes he does, but everybody that face a guy that is good as that will look reckless without that training and having a close boxing level.
And if it was in mma he could kick him, take him down and submit him, but thats not what they are working on.

@DWWhitlow1
Facts, real adaptation is about exploiting the opponents weakness, kick to a boxer, grapple to a kickboxer and box a grappler. Somehow there is people that actually believe that adaption is copying what the other guy is doing.
That may work for MMA, but you're not going to wrestle in a boxing gym lol.
In real life or in an actual match yes, this was obviously striking only practice
Cross training can be helpful though. You never know where you can learn something new and, if nothing else, it helps you learn how to deal with other styles. A big part of that is being willing to lose as that's what can teach you the best lessons;).

They're completely different fighting styles that focus on different things. Boxers ONLY punch, so they only need to learn and train how to punch and dodge punches, MMA fighters have to worry about more than just punches.
They both have amazing sportsmanship and respect for eachothers fighting style, I hate when people say one discipline is better than another purely because they focus on different things and have different rules.

Imo boxing as a martial arts becomes its true form when you fight against other martial arts that uses legs and they find a way around it.
@@AshunPhubu Oh yea, no doubt. And, it's impressive when that happens.
But, If they're fighting kickboxing, then the boxer has a long road ahead. If they're fighting karate or some shit.
Well... Im betting on the boxer
@@AshunPhubu You simply can't box (and I mean pure boxing) against an opponent who uses his legs. The basics of boxing require that the feet remain on the ground and that the weight falls between them almost uninterrupted. For example, doing the head dodge as low as in the video (boxing principle) requires you to put a lot of your body weight on one leg and the other. This goes down the drain if you intend to use said leg to kick or if you get kicked. The true form of boxing is in matches between boxers, only.
@@johnmaco lol ok, you missed my point. I truly don’t care enough to argue over opinions if you take that as a win then kudos to you my friend.
