Thank God these two legends are secure enough to adopt the "less is more" approach that this occasion calls for. I could see this event speeding up for a lot of guitarists. Well done, guys. Maturity comes with age. Oh, and uh, NEAL SCHON!
I love the musical maturity going on here. Two legendary players. I love how pure blues Satch stayed. Much more convincing than watching Vai attempt blues.
Check out the electronics...the sustainer pickup in the neck position and the way the Floyd arm hangs. That Ibanez has been “built” for Neal the way he likes all of his guitars setup.
Though odd for Neal to play an Ibanez he has played and recorded with them for quite awhile. I saw him playing one of Vai's Universe models back in the Soul Sirkus days. He's great on any guitar.
i thought so at first, but that guitar is equipped with his sustainer system he uses on his other PRS guitars so I think its his, never seen joe with a setup like that
Don't understand why it has to be either dead guys or British to be great for some weirdos. Love Gary Moore, too, but these two guys are absolute masters in guitar playing and they take the backseat to nobody as guitarists. And blues is as American as apple pie, and it actually was British artists who copied it. I think there has been and still are American guitarists who are just as good, if not better, as any British guitarists, including Clapton, Page, and Beck.
The real benchmark is so far out in the distance that people have started calling the person who gets closest to the benchmark the benchmark. Don't get me wrong. I love Gary Moore. I hope he's somewhere Jammin with Jimmy right now.
Quick which guy has tons of classic hits sold millions and millions of records and is almost never on a guitar magazine...and which one has no hits and just one great instrumental record 30+ years ago but is on every other guitar magazine... Neal has more soul in his shite than satch will have in 10 lifetimes. Neal is a god

Oh, and uh, NEAL SCHON!
that was just like sweet honey rolling down, what a treat these folks had , brilliant !!

Both are amazingly lyrical not only the non sense shred junky thing.. So much dept in their touch. Legends..
My 2 favorite ( inspirational influential ) guitars together on the same stage !
Neal Schon!!!
Wow, Satch and Schon bot have some killer chops.
You can clearly hear who’s deeply rooted in the blues vs otherwise....Neal’s the guy...
Neal is definitely a piece of silk.....smooth and fluid
Excelente Blues!
Neal is awesome. He can shred, but there is also a very strong dose of Santana DNA in there.
Wow, if Neal shredded like that when he was with Journey, they might have made it big. Oh wait.
I believe Joe was very gentleman like in that he didn’t get as much play time I felt. Both great guitar players no doubt.
Neal's the best
The best stuff happens when they s l o w d o w n 👍🎸
My 2 favorite. Very nice
So ooooo good !
THE TWO GUITAR SUPREME COMMANDERS!
There is no wrong or right in blues.... you just express your feelings on a fretboard with steel strings :-)
Doug Miller neal as a vast vocabulary on blues guitar, no wonder they call him the dog, he bites like one.
Neil's Ibanez is killer.
is it available for sale?
...and the Gods made love
Neal Schon❤👍🙏
I like the Blue.
Neal with an Ibanez!
B.B. King
🎶
Neal definitely has a better grasp on playing the blues.
Was Neal playing one of Joe’s guitars or something? Never seen him on an Ibanez before

Michael Waymire looks like he’s playing all of Joe’s gear, including Satch’s signature Marshall.
i thought so at first, but that guitar is equipped with his sustainer system he uses on his other PRS guitars so I think its his, never seen joe with a setup like that
thats his personal. not signature tho. thus the Fernandes sustainer. his favorite & must have hehe
Where's Neal's LP (or PRS)?
Okokok 👍👍
I just came in my trousers! Yikes!!
Someone call the kids.........dinners ready....!..............😐.....wow.
Gimme a Les Paul on this track 🔥
Entertaining but Gary Moore's version is the benchmark and I don't think it will ever be matched.
Yes, I have too aggree,it's the closest to mr hendrix,,,,ever!,,can't deny, every time I watch it ,it gets better...😐...wow.
Totally agreed
Randy Hansen surpasses Moore's version... but Moore was great in his own rite

Better see joe satriani playing
