Lyrics:
There's a Red House over yonder
That's where my baby stays
There's a Red House over yonder, baby
That's where my baby stays
Well, I ain't been home to see my baby,
in ninety nine and one half days.
'Bout time I see her,
Wait a minute something's wrong here
The key won't unlock the door.
Wait a minute something's wrong baby,
Lord, have mercy, this key won't unlock this door,
something's goin' on here.
I have a bad bad feeling
that my baby don't live here no more.
That's all right, I still got my guitar
Look out now . . .
I might as well go on back down
go back 'cross yonder over the hill
I might as well go back over yonder
way back over yonder 'cross the hill,
(That's where I came from.)
'Cause if my baby don't love me no more,
I know her sister will!

When I used to watch this DVD as a kid I always skipped EJ, and just watched Satch and Vai. Now I just watch EJ
Same here with me ...i guess its bcuz the older we get the more we understand music....
Me too LOL
When i was kid i watched only EJ on this dvd 😆
Fuck yeah! Mee too! Lol!
That kid was me!! haha.
My dad showed me this when I was a kid and it changed my musical taste forever. He died March 15 2022, RIP dad, wish we got to see g3 together 😭😭😭 can’t wait until my favourite songs don’t make me sad and think about missing you.
❤
😢
R.i.p dad
G3 original lineup is touring again in 2024 - check their website
My father was also a huge fan of Eric Johnson, but I showed him this G3 dvd. He also loved Cliffs of Dover. My dad also passed away this year 😭
Thank goodness Johnson rescued Satriani and Vai from themselves.
Right on..
yea man too right so natural
via and satrianni (soz cant spell)are the reason i gave up playing guitar
Hahahahaha
Oh...not really. He is good but has his style. Satriani is ...for me better in playing the blues anyway which is what they tried to do here. Steve Vai is the wrong person for these songs lol. But he did what he could.
No, Johnson has a mediocre sound and that damn pentatonic lick birthed bonamassa. I don't like it played all the time damn it.
Johnson is amazing with his material obviously but, again please don't compare. Satriani is a master of many trades. Literally, MASTER.
Eric Johnson is the best. Has an angelic voice and a perfect guitarist.
@@juanfra7578 "his style" #ytmostidioticcomments
@@georgepagakis9854 EJ solo is by far the most creative of them. My all time favorite red house solo.
@@georgepagakis9854 nice joke bro
@@georgepagakis9854 I have to agree with you on most of your points. Eric Johnson is a master of the fretboard and an incredibly skilled musician. "Red House" is just not his genre.
"playing a bunch of notes like he does which musically suck." Before I attack this comment, I want to ask what you meant by it.
Excellent drummer.
The chemistry between Steve and his master is just priceless.Eric is as good as always
EJ is a LORD!
What a musicality!
Best G3 era..
Eric's voice is so clean
Voz e guitarra
Eric johnson is the close one of them to the blues guitar playing...
The Bass player comes pretty close as well...
Let me disagree. I think Joe's first solo was true blues. It sounded quite simple and I think he really felt it.
You obviously one sided here, Satch has some beautiful blues licks as well.
Eric is more old school kind of player ... even his tune is more "blueslike", but overall they are all amazing!
@@sinceagesago5258 satriani is good with blues rock licks since his style is close to hendrix.. but in 12 bar blues. He does not have the variaty with the sool of blues players such as eric johnson ... Classic blues is all about note choice and soul.. it is something you can not get it with only practice
Eric Johnson still my favorite
Eric Johnson's got an angelic voice.
Finally we have this back.. Thanks to this video I started to play guitar at my young age of 13/14 years old.. I have Learn a lot from Eric..
Reason why i choose strat
He is/was a real get for team Strat!
EJ has the groove - that sets him apart. All amazing players.
EJ is overwhelming, that was the first impression I saw this when I was 15 and now I'm 33 but still, I feel the same.
Johnson is king! The bass player and drummer were awesome! I’ll just leave it at that!
Eric is awesome. And Satrianis first solo is just stunning
Eric Johnson 👍🏼
One the most eric jhonson great play blues the story jhimi and jhimi nice ....🎉🎉🎉🎉
Eric Johnson is my man....
Sweet sound of guitar, sweet sound of vocal, perfect cover.
He's still singing good. Nice stamina controls
The best rendition of this song, Satch & Vai had a tendency to overdo, Eric however managed to keep the things together. Having said, some of Vai licks were great & the synchronous duel of Satch & Vai was perfect
Johnson overdid it. Satriani is by far the only one tuned in on the damn song. Which is something happening often in g3 shows and then he goes off as well and all control is lost.
The stuff Steve Vai comes up with is just mindblowing. All of them are amazing.
Dream team
Amazing blues and great men
best g3 jam ever. god DAMN
Epic Johnson!!
4:52-4:58 the original blues guitar playing.
Sounds like Joe read a "how to play blues" column in one of those magazines he's featured in so heavily, Guitar World or Guitar Bore or Guitar Wank or whatever they were called.
Eric Johnson taking his two boys to the playground...
Thats the reason why ...the blues it's hard to play...
G3- is one of the best relations with top-top mucicians, and because of that they pley greatly.!!!
🌈 😎👍👏
eric johnsons showing a full melody guitar.. melody's finger by finger
the best G3...
No question they played much more tastefully at g3s back then compared to recent ones.
Eric Johnson can improvise as a rhythm guitarrist? Of course!
Gosh I love these guys... I can never decide who is my favourite, it changes day by day... Steve Vai will always be my hero, but j is soo smoth and warm, and Satch... well... It’s Satch, what can ya say
EJ very cool!!!
This is so good I feel like I'm leaving the atmosphere.
While some fans want to project their egos by saying that one guitarist is better than the other, these guitar legends are just having fun playing with each other and not thinking about who is better on the stage.
Its been 15 years since I last saw this. Thanks for uploading
Brings back memories...
Only Eric respect the song
Steve and Joe are all over the place
stupidity is the worst cancer or virus in the society.
Mooooostroooooo....
Goosebumps for years.... thank you gentlemen.... it makes you want to cry :)
wow vai playing blues..cool
i remember watching this dvd in google videos back in the day. around 2004. im glad its back again online
Eric !!
Sensacional
This G3 DVD, was the first that my father gave to me . Love the sound of 3 masters here.
It's EJ my favorite but it's unfair to say that Joe and Steve aren't good! They're all good and have their own styles.
Well said mate. 'Good' and 'best' are always just opinions. I personally would say that Steve Vai is way out of his element playing the blues. I don't enjoy his blues playing or tone, but it would be ridiculous to say it's bad. It's just not for me!! :) Eric and Satch KILLED this one in my opinoin though!!!
I don’t know about you guys but this G3 are the best!
Weltklasse. Danke
Perfect!
EJ’s voice is way too a nice guy for the song 😄
this G3 1996 concert was the first video that makes me wanna learn guitar......
Yay
WOW!
El mejor g3!!!
Masterpiece 😮
Best of the best
2.47 Fantastic blues phrasing
best of best
2:15
Satch : Uh uh.. not yet Steve
imo the "album" version of this song is better. vai goes absolutely frikkin nuts towards the end of his solo.
💯 agree
Cláudio Cavalcante on the drums
Fantastic
Great drummer
Amazing from indonesia
fenomenal
I just love Eric's tone & timing. I can listen to this all day long.
Joe’s face at 7:18 is priceless.
VERY NICE !!!
Genios 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
eric johnson was definitely the better guitarist that night.. really enjoyed listening his whole set
Love this
E essa penta do Satriani aí galera... perfeita
uffff esto si es MUSICA!!
Reminds me of peanut butter. Eric is smooth, Joe is crunchy!!
For me Satch is the best in blues
Brothers of nother mother 👍

Mejor solo disfruta y no comentes sandeces...
EJ's tone is so tasty.
This is addicting;]
2:39 saw Steve vai
Eric Johnson is god reincarnated
Eric is is incredible !
Anyone who thinks just Eric Johnson is the only person one here playinh with feeling doesn't understand the blues. The blues is about emotional expression anyone who dedicates their life to expressing themselve thru music is doing it from the heart, an intense feeling emotion that you can only express with the experiences of you're own individual life. So the only way they can express them self is with feeling. The blues is not something you can learn in a school to play perfect representation of the blues. That would be pointless😂
but it is possible to play blues badly, or simply play over a blues progression without any intention of it sounding authentic. vai has even said he isn't a very good blues player, and I agree. as a genre, blues is not simply "play what you like" simply because there isn't much formal codification of the style. it doesn't excuse unbluesy playing. I imagine, because it's the simplest form of improvisation for new players, it has achieved the reputation of being the guitarist's playground - but there's a reason why 99% of the best blues players in the world, the ones acknowledged as blues players, *sound* bluesy rather than sounding like vai. it's because blues is a demanding, specific discipline. you don't get a pass for bad blues playing just because you're playing from the heart
Święta Trójca
If I would go to a concert and see the musicians wearing headphones... I would leave to hear a Hendrix record at home.
first time that I see Eric johnson doesn't want to be there ...
What is that funky flute tune in the advert
Finally I found this! I saw it first time I was 14 and now i am 33....
I am not finding the full concert at youtube. Anyone?
I asked the internet to give me a vision for the term " Lord, have mercy ". An oracle showed up and directed me to this video to th 02:40 mark and the next few seconds.
I just realised that Ibanez could be played for blues music from these two gentlemen...
Campitelli is a monster
It’s fuckin great
What did Steve vai do at 4.00 with those harmonics , that was incredible. Don't know what he hit exactly but very clever.
i can't believe eric's like 40 here
