Catching BIG Arizona Trout at the Salt River!

- I made my first adventure to the salt river in AZ in search of some trout! This took a lot of walking and trial and error to find what the rainbows were biting!
The salt river in AZ is home to a great trout fishery especially this time of year! They have started stocking trout in this river so go get them while you can!
This river can be very challenging if you do not fish in the popular spots, but I loved every second of it. We tried spinners, jigs, and crankbaits but ended up catching our fish on plain ole nightcrawlers.
Trout fishing here in Arizona is just getting started, so be looking out for more trout videos from me! I will definitely be out after some salt river rainbow trout again soon!

They have started to stock trout in a pond here were I live. I just put in for my forever fishing licenses and it comes with a forever trout stamp also so just waiting on it to start trout fishing myself. Watching you catch some is making me ready to go. Nice place to fish. Next time. Get some unfrozen salad shrimp. Maybe a 1/2 cup worth use a #6 hook no weight or very small. Let it float just under the surface…if u need to get it deeper add a little heavier weight. But. It’s all about it floating n looking natural. 😊

@@TheFishinMagician20 I’m here for the winter. (Phoenix) So not sure where about you r fishing. Always like to watch big trout get caught But I use shrimp more than night crawlers. I live in Boise. I fish the Owyhee river which is on the Oregon Idaho border. Big browns n 2-3lb rainbows you can google earth the river.

I’ve caught fish from just above the bridge alll the way down past phon D. Haven’t tried water users but there is also fish there
Park at sheep's crossing and just south of the bridge there's a big pool trout hang out in. You can see the deep pool on Google maps and often you have fly fishermen stacked up there. Good fish bro.
Thanks for the info man! This trip was mainly geared toward trying to catch fish away from the usual spots. I will do a video at that hole some time soon tho. Just wanted to find some spots away from the crowds at first 🎣
