I wish more mice had this thumb button layout. The human thumb is one of man’s greatest tools and pc gaming limits it to a space bar and usually 2 mouse buttons.

I'm gonna say. As a guy who suffers from pretty big hands.. This mouse is one of the best fitting mice I have ever owned. Most mice I have to pinch the sides of them with my finger tips to get a decent grip causing immense fatigue pretty quickly. With this mouse I can literally just rest my big as* hand on it and be perfectly fine for long periods of time because I no longer have to pinch to keep a grip. Highly recommend. The weight is something to get used to if you're more used to light weight mice. 10/10

Sorry to bother you brother, but could you measure your hands similarly to in the video (Tipp of the middle finger to the bottom of your palm) and tell me how tall they are? I'm rocking 22,5cm tall hands but if bro in the video was struggling with 19cm hands then I'm not sure where I fall.

Yep I'm in the same boat. I am tall and have massive hands. I have suffered with small mice my whole life and finally said I was done with that life. This mice seems to be the biggest you can get without getting comically large. Good to read a positive review that addresses my use case

Been searching for a replacement for the Steelseries Rival 500 and this is the closest. I still wish the thumb rest was an actual button (which the Roccat Kone is also equipped with as the R500), but for quality this is good if not better than the R500. I do agree that the thumb buttons are more skewed to form over function (aka they are awkward). I just got this, so i'll try it out for a week but this review has been spot on so I think I might end up returning this. The search continues...

    Couple of questions:
-how do i change the colors while the mouse sits on the dock? That flashing blue/green is annoying in the dark and after a while doesn't flash anymore, it's static. And armoury crate doesn't have the option to change while the mouse it's off
-how do i change the firmware of the mouse? I plugged the wire in the mouse and armoury crate doesn't let me. Do i have to connect the dock and the mouse in the same time?

  • @Ahzahail

I have the 1st version Spatha. It has a horrible time STILL with windows 11. Originally the software would freeze the PC. Now it does not freeze the PC, but causes memory read errors that all disappear as soon as I uninstall the armoury crate software. Wish I could use it , because I liked the size of this mouse.

7:31 i dont think the intent was for them to be easy to be pressed, though that is important. i believe they are that way to differential the buttons to make it easier to remember. it's just to memorize the button shapes then assign them accordingly. it's a brilliant design in my opinion, just may take a bit getting used to.

I like the mouse, but the switches included with it are terrible quality. Left button starts doubleclicking after a ~month of usage. I thought maybe I am unlucky, and the switch was faulty. The good thing is that mouse comes with spare switches for replacement. I changed the switch and guess what, that second switch starts doubleclicking after a month as well. So I ordered third party switches, and so far it works good.
The other thing I don't like about this mouse is the center small button on the side of the mouse is too small, and it is hard for me to press it without pressing the other buttons which are close to it. Maybe it's just my fat finger.
So if you want to buy this mouse I strongly recommend to buy third party switches for it.

    • @christo1719

I have used other mice from my friends, and for me, these are the best switches I've used, with the only flaw being that they are super easy to click. When lifting the mouse and putting it back, it's possible to accidentally press the two buttons. Regarding double-clicking, I haven't experienced it in a year of use, and I haven't replaced them. I recently switched to the ones included in the box to compare, and they feel the same; I can't tell which ones I have used. At least, there's the possibility of easily changing the switches, which is a plus. I'm not sure if yours was an early model, and Asus fixed that problem later or something
