@@heisenberg9584 Prabhupad is condemning the non-violence aspect of Gandhi because you can't do politics through non-violence. Gandhi was a freedom fighter, no doubt in that but you can't run a nation just through non-violence. We have to take action against terrorism and terriost nations through violence. We can't protect our boundaries through non-violence. Geo politics is one example other than civics, criminalism and communal protest where non-violence will fail very badly and that's what happened during pre and post India's Independence. When the freedom was delayed by 10-20 yrs as we weren't fighting against Britishers but were tolerating their nonsense through various pacts/laws and in that time, freedom fighters like Bhagat Singh, Sukh Dev and Raj Guru kept the fire of freedom ignited in the hearts of Indians via violence against Britishers. And later, when Indian soldiers revolted under the leadership of Subash Chandra Bose, then Britishers had to leave because 80% of their army where comprises of Indian soldiers. But Britishers glorifies Gandhi because that's good for their reputation as nobody wants to accept the fact that they were kicked out of the country.
Nonetheless, Gandhi has significant contribution for India's independence but he had his drawbacks which Prabhupad mentioned in this clip and since Gandhi used Bhagwad Gita to preach non-violence this shows he was whimsical in his thought process of understanding Bhagwad Gita and that's why failed by the hands of violence.
We are in 2023, and we have seen what benefits violence brings. Shame that still many people believe violence is the solution against despots. Even if violence succeeds, u will end up becoming slaves under dictators who will have no qualms against killing anyone.

Bose died in 1944, he failed in his attempt. Japan whom Bose believed to help him against British was defeated by USA. Indian national army under Bose had no other way and they too accepted defeat.
It was the end of quite India movement that led to establishment of a cabinet committee which for first time acknowledged India would be granted a independent status.

Srila Prabhupada was Gandhi's contemporary and also participated with him in the Indian National Movement. But later Srila Prabhupada realised that Gandhi's methods are useless and based to favour the British in disguise. So Srila Prabhupada left it and started Hare Krishna movement throughout the world. Whatever Srila Prabhupada is saying in this video is completely correct because He had seen these so called nationalists personally and had lived with them. He is far more correct than today's history books....

The real reason Britishers left because they already have lost a lot in War and the Indians who were fighting for the Britishers against Azaad Hind Fauj came to know about that the battle they r fighting was against the Indians only. So to avoid another revolt from the British Indian soldiers they decided to leave India and they gave the power to Congress to create a government. So stop saying Gandhi gave freedom to our country.

Even as a child I always thought about this. By recommending non-violence Gandhi delayed our independence from Brits. Imagine the whole population of Bharath if revolted against them they would have run much earlier.

If we need to explain why Gandhi doesn't deserve the praise or honour he gets, we will take a lot of words to explain. We will describe through many examples. But here, a great great vaishnava who had abundant knowledge of shaastras explained the facts so easily, in only a few words that this could be made into a reel. I've never heard anyone explaining Gandhi this easily. This is why we all should read shaastra. It makes things crystal clear.

Non-violence is not there in history because history is a record of interruptions. When u resolve an argument in your house non-violently it won't be noticed but if u fight or kill it will come in newspaper and be recorded in history 🙂
