Prayers for Joe. How heart-stopping to witness something like this. I'm happy you are all safe and nothing else burned. Wow, I have to say it... the power of prayer is so amazing.
Wow. You really don't know what might happen on the road (well, anywhere). Thanks for sharing, hope Joe's okay beyond the burning trailer incident, and Rick & Linda's travels are safe.
This brought me to tears. All I can think about is he was once a newborn baby. He came into the world a bundle of pure potential. What went wrong? It’s just heartbreaking. We need to do a better job in this country of making more treatment facilities and helping people get the help they need. So often, a person will make the decision to get clean but there’s no bed available. I know of two people who od’d waiting for an opening.
Prayers and good vibes for Joe! Maybe he can start fresh, His old life completely destroyed, with nothing salvageable, praying he gets the help he needs and is able to start a fresh clean life.
What a beautiful dog Bear is. So sad Joe lost his home but if he wasn't there that's a good thing anyway. Maybe this will be the catalyst to save him. God works in mysterious ways his wonders to perform. Drug addicts and alcoholics have to bottom out before they seek help. If he could admit to you he has a problem that's the first step to sobriety. And sobriety is a process. Sometimes God answers prayer w/o us understanding the process. You did all you could at the moment. Just keep praying. Much love from CT with prayers for your safety.
Thank you for sharing this tragedy Rick and Linda. It’s scary how fast the trailer went up; I’m sure you’re a quick dresser when something’s on fire! Linda was so calm! I’m impressed. Prayers for Joe and all of God’s children.
Father God, we lift Joe up to you, we speak every addiction to go from Joe now in Jesus's name. Amen. I prayed for my brother in law and 3 days later he quit smoking!!! Hubby was shocked when he crushed a half pack of smokes!😂 God is amazing!!! So we keep blessing and standing on our prayers for Joe👍
Jeepers what a situation to wake up to! So many emotions! I'm sure you'll keep us posted about any information about Joe. Aaaah, we have a wee bit of an update and that's good news.
Wow, you never know what’s going to happen in the middle of nowhere. I’m glad they didn’t find him in there. I’m also glad you prayed for him. Who knows that may have prompted him to leave at the right time.
Oh boy, that's a scary thing to wake up to. I'm glad it appears Joe got out safe. I hope he is uninjured. You two stay safe out there. Hello to Bear and Jeff.
Wow I pray God will have mercy on All of His Children that struggling with issues, Only God can Save our souls My prayers are with you All. Thank you Father for your love, and Mercy. 🙏🏽🕊
That's not what anyone wants to wake up to, glad you're both alright! Let's hope Joe might try to turn his life around after such a close call. Stay safe & I hope to see you down the road🏕
Good thing that the wind had died down that night. Depending on direction, flames and embers could have easily blown right into your camp. Desert wind can be fierce, as you have experienced during your trip. Stay safe out there. Just subscribed.
Just finished reading a story about a Good Samaritan that was brutally murdered for his trouble a couple of weeks ago, not far from there. Personally, I think hanging out in the desert, walking distance from the Mexican border camped next to a homeless addict is literally asking for trouble. Strongly suggest you reevaluate situations like this in the future.
The dust here in Quartzsite Arizona is really bad and I was sick with bronchitis and very dry skin. The desert is not my favorite place. I love the forest but hard to stay in the winter. This is the second time I have heard of a drug addict having a fire Good luck with your trip, stay safe.
Oh wow Rick and Linda! What a terrifying thing to witness! So upsetting when you aren't sure if someone was trapped inside or not. And such a relief to learn that no one was in it!!! Perhaps your prayers are what saved him Rick!!! And perhaps your prayers and those who will join you in praying for him, will help him get his life straightened out. This has to have been a wakeup call for him! I'm glad no one was hurt nor sustained any damage to any other rigs! I live in a mobile home park and many years ago watched a neighbor's home burn down to the frame in fifteen minutes. It was horrifying to watch as I was on the phone calling 911 not knowing if they were still inside. Thankfully they all got out, but it was a heart stopper for sure!!! Oh, and that bee hive was beautiful! I got to see one in the wild like that hiking through a canyon in New Mexico. That was a lifetime ago, but it sure was cool to see! I hope you two have a beautiful day! We have a rare full sunshine day at the moment. We get so many days of Valium version here in the Flathead, so these sunny days are a prized occurrence!😁 God bless and continue to keep you both❤
This was really a scary night with the trailer catching fire near you where you were camped but I hope everything turned out okay with the man that was living there i hope You, Linda, Jeff and Bear have a nice weekend thanks again Rick.👍☕🇺🇲
Bear looks like he has a lot of Border Collie in him. Very Smart dog. Thanks, Rick, for sharing your life and hopes. I hope and pray Joe has started a new life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
"No human power can relieve us from [drug addiction]." or words to that effect. Here's hoping Joe gets clean. Glad to hear no body was found in the rubble. Here's wishing you as always safe travels. See you out there soon enough. Looking forward to breaking bread and to some shared PIE!
So sorry for Joe. More trouble in a troubled life. Perhaps this is the shock he needed to commit to living a better life in Jesus. Prayers can be answered in the strangest ways! I hope you all are off to better places.
When the urge to pray for someone comes upon you, do it right then, not put on a to-do list, it is the Lord telling you to do so, right then and there.
I would have left when the Border Patrol Officer left. I wouldn’t have hung around, Joe might be looking for a new camper? Stay safe! To be honest, I would have left right after meeting Joe.
Hello Rick, Hi Linda. Gees, what a Shocker to happen while trying to enjoy your journey. That is not the way to Warm Up. But 10 to 1 this Joe started this out of neglect, being High on Crack or Meth. Life is strange, and what's that old saying??? "Life Happens, While You are Busy Making Plans to do Something Else". Ya, it goes like that. Thank God the both of you are not involved, Not Hurt. I had another surgery this week, and I'm in Big Pain, having a rough time of it. I will send an email and fill you in. Stay Safe, Stay Warm, and God Bless.
Good the man wasn’t inside that blaze ! I saw a large mobile home burn up years back ! It didn’t take very long to burn. Watch out for the Valley fever that can be in that area ! Take care Rick & Linda . 😁🇺🇸
After the fire department showed up I could see them through the smoke and flames. I sure hope they were wearing SCBA! The fumes coming from that trailer are extremely toxic and not good for your health!
What a scary situation! Thank goodness that you were looking over him that night. Maybe if you weren't there, it would have had a different outcome. It makes you wonder, doesn't it?
Combining drugs and living rough is a recipe for disaster. Some tweeker squatters that were living in an abandoned house within my view here outside of Kingman let an elderly couple of tweekers camp there as well since they had a car and they could get to town without having to walk or ride bicycles. The couple was staying in an old teardrop trailer that was on the property. They rigged up some kind of a wood stove in it and it caught fire. The elderly man burned to death and his wife was severely burned and died sometime later. Joe was lucky.
Drugs has kept my son in prison for a lot of years, he was paroled out about 9 mos started his busness up again then the drugs took over again and back in. I think he gets out again next january. Sad thing hes 53 now.
@@howardwatts4238 I'm sorry to say, My youngest son 43 is on now. I wish there was a way to personally talk to you to see how you cope with it all. Smoking crack involves some dangerous combinations to light it. There can be flareups, the pipe could crack and one thing would lead to another. Not a good habit at all.
A sad end. Did the individual make it out alive? Are RV's so flammable as we see here? Are the MFRs producing a hidden problem in fire safety? Does a fire extinguisher alone make you feel safe considering what you see here?
Any RV will burn pretty readily and it's always good to have a few fire extinguishers handy. Another thing you might consider is using an induction cooktop instead of propane. So many fires are started while cooking.
Sad, I would think Joe was a good guy jest made a few bad choices, or maybe a lot of bad choices. But I know he had a mother, and maybe family who loves the Joe who made good choices. Thank you ALL

It's not near as bad over here near Ajo, AZ. Not as much wind.

You should grab the copper wiring. It’s already been burnt off so you get a couple bucks for that.

Hi Rick and Linda is there anyway to talk to you privately. Had some questions about when you went to Mexico

It was only minutes before only ashes remained. Thanks for the warning, we both had valley fever one year.
Joe’s spirit animal is in the last picture of the fire! I see a cow’s head in the smoke. I believe Joe’s ok.

Wow, scary 😮😢

We are at the LTVA north of Yuma. The wind has been awful this season.

Prayers work!
Strange things happen down in the washes !
Might be a good idea to remove that fire debris, it will have toxic substances in it like, dioxin which will leach into the soil.
It's on public land so I'm not sure that it will be cleaned up anytime soon.
you need to clean that ash asap Rick. it will sorta glue its self to your paint. i learned that the hard way
there was bike tracks on the ground at the start of the video

Sad life, no matter how you look at it.
Cooking Meth and fires go hand in hand. They burned an entire house down in town here doing that.
Maybe a safety/fire escape plan video in the future.
