Oh my goodness, thank you so much. I have had issues with two pieces of 5' vinyl for wall quotes and... well, it simply made me want to cry both times. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
thank you so much for this tip.i was trying to make a very large vinyl wall quote i had just ruined about 5foot of vinyl, tryed this i worked great 1st time
Question. If the right side, as you said, is nice and straight but the left side is not, before you start cutting, why cant you turn the vinyl around and load it from the other end? That way your straight side is on the left and you wont have that worry. Since you move the roller closer toward the middle, I would think this would be a better solution for the problem. Actually, the problem would no longer be there. ??
Neat trick! Sucks that someone even has to do this. This is an annoying problem that I've been having. Ruined a couple of jobs I was working on. Anything longer than 12" the vinyl will eventually roll out from the roller on the left and that's the end of that cut.
Your video was great. I am really frustrated with my new Cameo as it won't cut any vinyl without shifting. I've noticed that the left had white roller doesn't actually raise up any when I move the release lever. Can you tell me if it's supposed to? If it doesn't - I can't seem to get any media at all underneath it.
I've looked 'EVERYWHERE' I can think to look to find out how to ""advance"" the vinyl on my Silhouette Cameo. How do you do that? [[ The only way I have found to do it is to load the vinyl, then turn off the machine; then turn it back on, & you are again given the option to "load media".
Does moving the right roller to the left leave a line in your project though? I have tried this and the pressure left a bit of an indent in the vinyl where the right roller was. Another tip: I also cut my vinyl freehand and I have found that if I make sure the non-freehand side is on the left, I run into less issues.
Amanda, I'm not sure what may have caused that if it was near the roller in the left. If it was the roller on the right, I could see that happening if the page layout settings were for a narrower width. (Not sure if that was your situation). When I cut, I make sure my page width in the settings are 12" and then I adjust the right roller on my machine in as far to the left as I can get it. If that's not your situation, I would call Silhouette tech support. They're US based and wonderful at helping users troubleshoot problems. Good luck!
pieces of fuel line cut on noe side makes a clam opening slide it over the shft an your golden my 3 was sklipping due to manuf def and the 4 has the same issue so looks like they never fixed the prob ive had mine scence 18/19 and it stopped loading al toghter last night so i used the rubber fuel line and it fixed it, so its free fix if you have aognifagent other that works on cars if not youlklhave to either know somione that does or go to the auto supply and buy a piece eithrer or its a cfheap fix
I've tried to feed my cameo 12"X3' vinyl multiple times, cut perfectly straight, and the vinyl shifts during the cut every time.... IMO, this machine sux....

I have moved my white marker to the smallest setting like you had showed in your video but then my cameo didnt cut in that little area. :(
