The operations he speaks of are not 'sex - changing' , as he calls them , they are at best, cosmetic surgery on healthy bodies and mutilation at worst. Womanhood is not something which can be identified into and many woman find the idea that it can to be insulting, misogynistic & dangerous to women and girls. I have nothing against Jin Xing ,he is a survivor, but reality is reality, & to be honest about the issue of sex is to show respect & very important - despite and contrary to what the current ideological trend says.
Have to say she's probably one of the most interesting, controversial and successful Asian women in the world, especially in the entertainment field. I know she speaks very good Chinese (Mandarin), but didn't know until now that she also speaks fluent English. Glad to have stumbled on and watched this video and learned the other side of this famous woman. Has she written any books, or someone has written books about her?

im sorry, korean minorities in China, along with all other minor ethnicities are NOT immigrants like those in the west. China is different to the west, ethnic minorities live in this land along with the Han Chinese for thousands of years, the word "immigrant" is very inaccurate and very western centred.
Quick note, the minorities have huge priorities and benefits in PRC in morden China that our Han people can never ever get (for instance, they have huge priorities to be enrolled into all the Ivy level colleges in China). Like I am an US legal resident, but I never got such priority to be enlisted into Harvard. Although I hate the "Trail of Tears" things in Chinese modern history but we belong to the future not the past, right?
+littlepiepie well to be fair, it does help that all these ethnics are east asian looking, there phenotype is indistinguishable from the majority or any other with the exception of maybe the mongols and definitely the uighurs/central asians. Its the same with the west, people don't question whether a french or german or whatever is an immigrant since they are just white, they also don't question black people to be immigrants either since they've been there for hundreds of years

And there is no such a thing called ethnic Chinese in our definitions, we have 56 ethnic groups living in this country, the Chinese ethnicity you are talking about should be Han ethnicity.
