"If you think the house won't stand up to harsh conditions, you can just leave if there's a threat!"
Oh, that's just genius. That's fine. Don't worry about needing shelter. If you think your house is liable to collapse, hey, take your chances out in the open!
    That's idiotic.

Instead of sending money to other countries, the USA could solve the homeless problem in a few years with these. What the bloody hell is wrong with our gov’t? Everything!

You have to convince the homeless to actually live in them, and we are talking about a population that is overrun with seriously menally ill people.
They frequently do not respond to reason.
And "the USA" is not resposible for its homeless. Each state has the responsibility for its citizens, but has no obligation to provide housing to anyone. If the homeless want public assistance, they can apply for Section 8 housing assistance, but despite this, they persist in living on the street.
There are no one-shot solutions to the problem of homelessness because the problem of homelessness is actually a kaleidoscope of problems that weigh on each other. When you understand that, you begin to see why the problem persists.

@@No-One-of-Consequence there’s different classes of homeless. The new homeless with recent tragedies would jump on that. The crazies and addicts, they’re hopeless. There’s a wide range.

@@Sourpusscandy I'm aware of that, but the vast overwhelming majority of homeless are not the tiny exception you're talking about.. The crazies and addicts are most of our homeless, and that's not going to be resolvd until we reopen the puzle factories for the mentally ill, and do something about treatment for addicts.
And that's all there is to say about it. They all need treatment. They aren't getting it, so instead they are wandering the streets.
