Showtime at the Apollo David Peaston4

I searched for a video of Mr. Peaston singing at the Apollo when he competed there with the song that I first saw him sing. It was mine, and others, introduction to this fantastic singer. I couldn't find the video in which he performed, "God Bless the Child." Although his interpretation is different from my favorite female Jazz singer, Ms. Billie Holliday, but beautiful and powerful in its own right. This was the first time seeing him on the show although this is not the first performance of him singing the standard there.
Mr. Peaston also has another video which is a gem and another TH-camr posted. It was the song Mr. George Benson performed very well, "Everything Must Change." Here is the link to that video: • David Peaston performs...
I want to thank Mike D. for approval in cutting this video from his great video of one of my favorite shows, "Showtime at the Apollo." I waited to view the show every Saturday afternoon in Memphis. His video is worth taking the time out to watch it totally and seeing some of the guest hosts that you forgot hosted the show along with great performers and performances.
