Pinegrove is a twangy indie band who fuse Americana, emo, and indie rock into an insightful finished product. Singer and lyricist Evan Hall is a contemplative, serene frontman who possesses an intimate relationship with and an expansive knowledge of the human language. He’s acutely aware of the human experience and manages to pen astute observations about self and circumstance with genuine wonder. Though sonically somber, there is a kinetic forward focus in Pinegrove’s sound that lifts up each unconventional arrangement and unfettered chorus.

everyone has their preference but theres no denying this version has the best "its the old days" delivery
Yeah this is for sure the best version I’ve seen
Basically goosebumps territory
FOR REAL
soooo tru
Word for sure, I agree
Bruh, it's probably my favourite pinegrove song, but it TOO DANG SHORT!
I need more.
there'll probably be a longer version on the new album
SO
HAPPY
Just do what I do and listen to it again and again.
I think this every single day lol
yeah so many of their short songs are so good!!
Exactly!! The opening makes me so happy
sound engineers get a gold star for this one.
for real though
Maybe, but this is an exceptional live band
@josebatista5188 A band are only good as they sound, no maybe about it.
the way the lead guitar pokes thru the wall of sound
when it comes down to it, I think this song is pinegroves masterpiece. the reason it's so short is because there's nothing else to be said. this is pinegrove concentrated into a song, and it simultaneously their most unique and novel, while being one of their catchiest and most emotional. truly a great song, and this is their best performance of it.
It was #5 on my Spotify wrapped 🫡
I would normally complain about a song of this caliber being so short, but I actually appreciate how it's not long. It makes you feel great, and decays as quick as it came. Bliss.
"I love you like it's the old days, when I could ask you anything..."
The singer has this sweet country vibe. Very cool.
the way he sings "in my thinking." oh man.
It's a very country music way of singing it, it has a great twang
@@876r876rf this whole set had the country twang turned up a couple notches and it worked so well
I saw evan perform this acoustic but this has the same effect when he sings "Its the old days", Its just 1000X better than the album version!
Gives me chills every single time. Heard them play this live a couple weeks ago in a similar fashion and I swear my heart skipped a beat when he sang it like that.
This deserves to be the main version of the song, it’s absolutely amazing I’m glad I found it.
I like this version just as much as the acoustic. maybe more. I can't decide. This dude has mastered writing melodies.
this is 1000% the best version of this song I've heard. not that there could ever be a subpar version. but something ab this version is so energetic but subtle at the same time and you can see the passion in all their eyes and movements it's just super amazing to listen to and watch !!
also the way Evan sings "thinking" at 1:08 is so fucking cool like idk.
ALSO the way they pronounce "from" like "froom" in this song is beautiful lol
i LOVE this version, but it's a pity that the bass isn't louder, 'cause on the record the fact that that steady bass line stands out is what makes it so fucking great.
The tiny desk performance is amazing.
Guns On Bungees true, the bass is the standout in this song and definitely my favorite part. i found with certain headphones the bass is super prominent though!
This version of the song is so beautiful I can't stop coming back to it even ~5 years later
This is absolutely the best version of this song!! I passed by the studio version of this song but this performance brings me to tears
For real.
Being an Angelina 🥰🥰
I dont even know how to describe what this is but its amazing
This song makes me feel so warm and fuzzy I love it
I've watched this so many times & it never gets old
wow the drummer...is amazing
This is by far the best version of this song. So good.
Come back here once a day just for the "Like it's the old days" part.
Fanastic band - fantastic sound engineers - fantastic song!
still my favourite after all these years
Songs that land like a sucker punch. It's so fleeting but you feel it in a way that aches.
this band never fails to amaze me.
I like this version the best!
Just found this song radomly thru Spotify, and been replaying ever since. Something so charming but sad about it
This song has a massive problem: it's too short. Magnificent.
Am I old or is this band so underrated? They are so great.
They’re super underrated!
Man, i love this song so much
Back again, to listen to the most superior version of this song.
This is my jam.
What a great song!
I love these guys and this song so much!!
Oh shit, what I've stumbled upon.
I really like this version of this song
i STAN the bassist.
This song is too short because i'll end up listening to it like 20 times in a row
I love Evansessence!
Makes me want to listen to some Paul Westerberg again.
so i’m love with them. with him.
🥰🥰😀
I love this so much
This is better than the one in the album. Also the drummer absolutely killed it - shame he's left the band :(
incredible song
Can we take some time to appreciate the drums equalization in this version? Gold star to the sound engineers.
The only problem with that song.... is like a whisper...sooo damn short
Masterpiece!
this song fucking destroys me i cant listen to it without feeling so devastated, goddamn it, i will love you forever, nothing will ever change that
WAAAAAAAAAASHIN WINDOWS WITH ANGELINA
15 people don't miss you like its the old days
its nice of zack to fill in for nandi's vocals.

Violent angles from side to side
How'd you get so tangled up in my life?

Angelina Pinegrove be soundin like a name
he is so CUTE !!!!
incredible
I liked him better on American Horror Story
zack is an engine of a human being what the fuck. his rythmns are just so nessecary
even the feedback is in tune
Can anyone else name a better 1:30 long song? ... NO IT DOESNT EXIST. For the love of God stretch this thing out. so good.
These guys are great but how did they convince Jason Schwartzman to be their drummer?!
Not trying to one-up you but did you consider that he is in fact closer to Adam Goldberg? Dazed and Confused era, of course..
So weird because my friend and I both think he looks like Justin Theroux from The Leftovers
I've never seen a video with 0 dislikes.
Yeah man
Such a fucking bop! Full stop, love y'all😁
WHY IS THIS SONG SO SHORT!! I need more
Please come back, I love your music ❤
this song
4 hospitalizations deep in Manhattan thinking ,,,, damn... I should've gone to Boulder instead.

What a fucking song ugh
Someone please tell me what this song is about!!!
Ethan Diamond judging by the lyrics, a girl that he met and fell in love and now can't think about anything else
Why he screams „it’s the old days“ ? Love the smoother version. This is just so affected
mtbom
