Great advice. I'm a digital nomad myself. It's really not too tough. I dropped out of uni, took up writing, and now make my living fully on Upwork. Don't listen to the naysayers and skeptics who shout "Daddy's money" to excuse their lack of motivation or effort in life.
I was surprised. I always thought nomads were mostly entrepreneurs, but most nomads are actually remote workers! Its never been easier to be a nomad! 🤩🤩🤩
Didn't go through those steps but i am gearing towards the nomadic life soon. I still have my profesionnal career, built after my university training. Most of my work used to be on-site but Covid changed things so rapidly and I have moved most of my activity online already. Soon (maybe a year or two), and without recycling myself completly into unrelated work fields, I will be able to get on the digital nomad life! woohoo!
yeah in my opinion the upwork one of best to find a client, but it suck when we send a proposal with the connect, and without connect you can't do anything in the upwork.
What a video, so innocently & Honestly done which is rare in today’s world. ❤❤❤❤❤❤ Only great souls can make this kind of helpful video, I love it ❤❤❤❤❤ All the best you globalists 👌👌👌👌👌
Hi Rafaela, thank you for sharing this useful information. I have a question about the first option: digital nomad with full remote jobs. I think you've seen a lot of people like that so far, and which countries did more people come from? I'm from Japan, and I think there are way more companies who admit full remote working style in Europe or English-speaking countries than Japan.
I spend 3 years on fiverr trying to do what you suggested. And in that time I only got a dozen gigs. Even thought in every one of them i got 5 stars reviews. The process of getting more gigs didn't speed up so I quit. Why, this happend to me.? I don't understand, I been thinking it may be becuase my location is Venezuela. And from my experience working as a tourist guide in my younger years, I learn that the the english speaking market (the only one that pays well) is generally afraid of latin americans. Could you be sincere and tell me if I am right, in my suspicion? Because if is that I might try in upwork, putting my location in the US using a VPN. And yeah, I know that cheating is wrong, but I really want to afford be a digital nomad. And keep traveling until the end of my days as I did in my youngest years. I am open to any advice, thank you
😎I've been watching Rafa's videos and following her updates for over a year now, and it's always something useful, she speaks to the point, without water. 😍 Thank you very much for your interesting and informative videos, Rafa!) I am Tatar, I live in Russia and I love learning languages, I really want to be a nomad. I know English, Spanish, Tatar, Bashkir, Russian. I would like to work remotely. Do you know any companies that take people from Russia? I'll be very grateful if someone helps🙏🏻
A lot of this stuff is just not as easy in practice as it is being made out to be. Half of these careers are seeing massive layoffs and lower worker numbers because of AI, amongst other examples
That is what i feel. I used it over 3 years. I never get one. My virtual assistant work I got from one referal during covid and until now I am working for that client. This year will be the third year if they renew my contract
Like so many accurately describe, just spoiled valueless tools on vacation with a laptop. Funny how I never see any of these DN’s in the casino here in Vietnam where I drop more in a night than they make in a month.

Nice David!! Thank you for sharing your experience here. A lot of people are still skeptical about the digital world and I am trying to demystify it!

There are a lot of "easy" hoops to jump through, and each hoop is challenging. Easier said than done.
its never been easier to travel! I just found a few ways to travel for cheap as well
Exactly! There are so many ways!

How does anyone make money as a VA when people on these platforms can hire someone in India or the Philippines for a few dollars an hour?

Ambiguous jobs
How and where can I find these jobs?
Is it expensive to apply many jobs every day in Upwork? 20USD for 100 connects
That is what i feel. I used it over 3 years. I never get one. My virtual assistant work I got from one referal during covid and until now I am working for that client. This year will be the third year if they renew my contract
Is it possible to apply for 2 skills on upwork and then add other skills as you go along? Could this help you get more customers?
I have found online jobs but I have not found yet anything. This is scum and fraud. 😊
👍👍
Can you help me please 🙏🏾 ❤😅
Project manager with no prior experience 🤣
My best friend became a project manager for META with no applicable experience and a general bachelors degree. It sounds crazy but it is possible
