For someone like me who loves Bond movies since I was a girl, I really loved Spectre. I don't understand why people can't appreciate that movie. Lashana is not 007, she's a 00 but not 7. James Bond will always be 007, they'll cast a man and that's fine. I just want the movies to have great supporting casts and awesome characters. And Ben Whishaw can be Q forever.
Was it not already said that she is the new 007 due to Bond's retirement? It's not that hard to imagine she'd change her number by the end of the film, or she just keeps it if Craig's Bond retires for good and sets up a reboot, no?
I just watched Spectre today and feel like everything I heard about it was wrong. It never got boring and had some really fun/interesting action and some very Bond moments I liked it a lot but I guess it's still no Casino Royale or Skyfall
She's a 00 but she's not 007, M says clearly "where's 007?" She's like 008 or some other number on the list. These are "James Bond" movies not "007" movies. They'll just redo/restart the series with a new Bond again.
@@inticoastal Even if that's true, the point still stands. These have never been 007 movies, they have always been James Bond movies. If they retire "James Bond" and give 007 to someone else, and make movies about that person, they won't be James Bond movies any more.

I love Skyfall. Javier made you feel empathy for his character. The bad guy got left for dead by the person he loved the most, pretty good reason to be angry and he made you feel that.
I'm in the minority of loving Spectre, I think. Granted, I will admit Casino Royale and Skyfall are *better* films but I think I *enjoy* watching Spectre more. Out of the 4 Craig, it'd be the one I'd watch on a whim.
I wouldn't accuse Spectre of being *bad*. It was just extremely dissapointing. Majority of the cast and crew from Skyfall were returning, Bonds arch nemesis was making a comeback, the trailers were amazing and what we got was just an okay film. Certainly not terrible, but I wouldn't say it lived up to it's potential.
Spectre and Skyfall are his best because they feel like Bond films. When they made Casino Royale they took everything out that made Bond unique and made him into a generic action Jason Bourne clone action hero. Now they are they slowing adding the Bond elements back and I am OK with that.

Malek's character is Phantom of the Opera and Robert Carlyle's character from The World is Not Enough. There is a sense of sophistication when I watch this trailer and there is a perfect balance in coloring because it looks very clean cut. Jeffrey Wright from Peoples Hernandez to Felix Leiter is so good. This movie for sure is going to be spider web starting with Felix asking Bond's help leading to uncovering something more sinister. I wonder if Malek's character could be the second in command maybe of Spectre.
1:30 I think the James Bond marathon was on TNN (The National Network) before it became the Spike channel which then became the current Paramount network. But I could be wrong.
It's weird how Casino Royale has become more and more engaging for me over time. I remember not being big on it when it first came out, but something happened over time that made it my go-to Bond movie. No Time To Die probably won't surpass it for me any more than Skyfall did (and Skyfall was really damn good). Glad Felix Leiter has returned, Jeffrey Wright is always a welcome presence. I am surprised to see Blofeld back in this, even if he's just pulling the Hannibal Lector thing in prison. And yes, that end shot with the headlight guns was great.
Spectre was that kid in high school that tried to be cool but couldn't because the other two kids (Skyfall and Casino Royale) were taking the spotlight and made him irrelevant. Spectre was more of a set piece for something big. Sometimes it doesn't need to be those two movies, it can be something to keep you ready for that connection to a bigger movie. And I like a nice chill movie in a series that's action packed all the time.
My problem with Spectre was that it strained very hard to tie all the events of the previous Daniel Craig movies together. So Le Chiffre, Quantum, and Silva all worked for Spectre AND its leader Blofeld happened to be Bond's adopted brother with a grudge against him? It just felt like the plot was trying too hard to make it all fit.
What if Chris Nolan's International spy movie comes out and kicks ass? Does Nolan take the helm for 3 movies and bring Cillian Murphy as the next Bond?

If anything Skyfall was so different from most cheesy Bond movies that it drove away traditional Bond fans. And what the hell is this talk about never having seen such vibrant colors before this trailer? Skyfall was chock-full of oranges and blues when Roger Deakins was cinematographer.
Casino Royale and Skyfall are my favorite of all time. Skyfall is my all-time favorite. I just hope this one is great so I can have a great Craig trilogy.

I'll be honest, I don't think I've seen any Bond movie before, and I just turned 21 a few months ago. Lol I plan to watch at least the other 4 Craig movies before this. I've obviously heard of things here and there but I just knew that there was so many of them & they all kind of have random titles, I just never looked into it....before last night cuz I knew that this trailer was coming out & that it was gonna be Craig's last outing as Bond before they reboot again? I guess? Or are a lot of these movies supposed to still connect even though there's different Bond actors etc.? Anyways I thought that I would finally jump on board so I can be all on for whoever the new Bond will be after this. I liked this trailer. Speaking of which, I absolutely loved every frame that Lashana Lynch was in, total badass, which tracks if she is indeed the new 007. I think it was TNT...but could have been TBS. :) I watched the Thanksgiving marathons and the 007 Days of Christmas with my dad. I'm a HUGE fan! (And I am willing to acknowledge that there are plenty of BAD movies in this series.)
Here is hoping they have the guts to continue this universe but with a new 007 in the lead. All this restart and retread of the same sort of stories need to stop, they need to be bold and do something new. Hand the torch to a new successor and a new 007.
I think that's unique about Bond is that unlike any other franchise, it evolves with time and gives us a Bond that is best reflective of the generation we live in. Each Bond represents a different time in history. I don't mind the universe option, but I'd much rather they take a break and then announce an Idris Elba or something else. Also, please stop with this 'female' Bond. The masculinity factor of Bond is an essential part of that character. It's like saying make a male Wonder Woman. Just keep the difference. I don't mind adding a badass character (female or male) like the new OO character that have and adding a few other agents like 008 and 009 or whatever to expand the universe. But 007 is Bond. James Bond.
The Craig-Movies are nice Action-Movies, but never give me Bond vibes. I‘m a Bond fan since 40 yrs, grown up with Moore and later discovered Connery. Favourite is still Sean, followed by Brosnan and i love OHMSS. Casino Royale is on the bottom on my list of all.

Aaron Pulgarin Guerrero i should say Bond-Movie-Vibes (have read all Fleming Bond novels and most of the books by other authors). I would enjojed CR more if it was a „clean“ reboot, but this mix (same M but rookie Bond and later the DB5 in Skyfall and so on) is to wierd. As a new Take based on the books i would have other expectations.
As a Bond fan, I would be happy if they legit killed off James Bond in this film and had it end with Lynch's 007 avenging his death. Toxic Fan boys might have a meltdown but I think that's the best way to pass on the torch. Have them team up and Lynch prove to Bond she's as good if not superior to himself as a 00 and have a scene where he trusts her with a critical part of whatever their mission is because he knows she can succeed where he would fail. It would mark his passing of the torch and his, and therefore our, acceptance of her as 007. Additionally, it would somewhat tie back to Judi Dench's death in Skyfall in that she acknowledged she was responsible for the events happening but she could die knowing that Bond would live on. Hence her willing the Dog statue at the end and it being her symbol to Bond to stay in the field cause it was where he belonged. James being able to acknowledge he can no longer serve that purpose but finding someone else who is capable of taking on that responsibility is a great way to end his story. Finally, Craig's Bond has had a pretty shitty life sicne becoming a 00. He fell in love only to be betrayed by her and have to see her die. His greatest mentor made the choice to sacrifice him to stop a greater threat, which resulted in Bond giving up only to come back and see that same mentor die in his arms. He learned his own history was largely hidden from him. Now, he's fallen in love once more and, this trailer at least, makes it seem like he was AGAIN betrayed by that love. Dude's had a rough life. Let him help save the world once more, save the handful of people he cares about, and find someone younger and more capable than himself to take on these challenges so he can rest the only way a 00 Agent can ever rest, In Peace.
Rumours of Dua Lipa or Ed Sheeran scoring for this movie🙄. It would be just like them to go for something pop'ish. Still don't know how Sam Smith won an Oscar for Spectre. It was one of the most boring songs. I hope they would go for something different like how they went with Chris Cornell for Casino Royale. That song was just perfect
I may be in the minority, but I didn’t like Skyfall...thought it was utterly forgettable, & thought Specter was phenomenal. Hell Specter introduces BLOWFELD, one of his greatest villains. How could you forget that?! Crazy. Casino Royal was still the best though.
I like to see Clive Owen in the role, the only problem is he's in his 50s and you have to have someone who can carry it for a few years. Craig's been attached for 14 years now. I hear that Elba has been rumoured to be 007 but he's in his mid forties now and he has to be able to carry it now. The only way your get round Bond being a woman is if you drop the James Bond name and simply call her 007.
Miloš Bekić that’s the problem. He’s 47 now, will be around 50 during the first film. And you want your new bond to be able to do 3/4/5 films I think so I wouldn’t go down the idris Elba route, someone younger is more preferable

It was a lot longer than it needed to be. Cutting 15 minutes or so would've gone a long way.

Hence her willing the Dog statue at the end and it being her symbol to Bond to stay in the field cause it was where he belonged. James being able to acknowledge he can no longer serve that purpose but finding someone else who is capable of taking on that responsibility is a great way to end his story.
Finally, Craig's Bond has had a pretty shitty life sicne becoming a 00. He fell in love only to be betrayed by her and have to see her die. His greatest mentor made the choice to sacrifice him to stop a greater threat, which resulted in Bond giving up only to come back and see that same mentor die in his arms. He learned his own history was largely hidden from him. Now, he's fallen in love once more and, this trailer at least, makes it seem like he was AGAIN betrayed by that love. Dude's had a rough life. Let him help save the world once more, save the handful of people he cares about, and find someone younger and more capable than himself to take on these challenges so he can rest the only way a 00 Agent can ever rest, In Peace.

I may be in the minority, but I didn’t like Skyfall...thought it was utterly forgettable, & thought Specter was phenomenal. Hell Specter introduces BLOWFELD, one of his greatest villains. How could you forget that?! Crazy. Casino Royal was still the best though.

I like to see Clive Owen in the role, the only problem is he's in his 50s and you have to have someone who can carry it for a few years. Craig's been attached for 14 years now. I hear that Elba has been rumoured to be 007 but he's in his mid forties now and he has to be able to carry it now.
The only way your get round Bond being a woman is if you drop the James Bond name and simply call her 007.
