A few years ago a skinny feral mommy cat smelled my sandwich and I could tell she was hungry. I gave a little a little piece of ham. She gobbled it up and I gave her another and another. Then I gave her a big slice. She picked it up, held it high and happily carried it away. The next morning she showed up with four beautiful kittens. We gave them breakfast, dinner, late night snacks, healthcare (got them all fixed) and lots and lots of love. They are all happy and living a good life. They gave us more than we gave them
How people can be so cruel & evil to just drop off such a newborn tiny kitten in the woods with so many predators. Thank you for saving & rescuing this precious kitten. She needs a tinier nipple dropper for her tiny mouth. Thank God there are still compassionate people left in this world.💝
Alot of people don't appreciate animals. The animals have so much love to give. I took home a 2 week old kitten. He was dying nobody wanted him. I fell in love with him when I saw him. He is 11 years old now. He is my pride and joy. When I took my cat baby to the vet. To my surprise they told me he is pure Russian blue.

I agree, both eyes are dilated but it's still blind, combined with its size I think it's two weeks old. It seems not particularly malnourished, if may have lost its mum up to one day ago. Cat mums would do anything to keep each and every of their kittens nourished and safe, that includes trying to chase away up to large predators and giving 0 freak about getting in to anything wet including heavy rain and swimming. It may be that mum had no choice or was in an accident. I'm very grateful that these people take good care of this little one.
What a precious sweet lamb and angel!!! I’d take it in and raise it,while it grows into an adult cat someday. I can’t understand why someone would abandoned a poor,defenseless,helpless kitten,you know?

For anyone fostering kittens: these people are lovely and caring, this is not a criticism, but that face washer is too rough. What you want here is a very soft cloth, something like a fleece or flannel. It will fold better around kitty and she'll feel safer all wrapped up like a burrito. Cotton is a bit coarse for such a tiny baby. Although the face washer looks so small to you, you need to be able to place yourself inside the kitten's world. Things that seem tiny to us are enormous to her. Pretend you are being wrapped in a cloth that as large and rough as the facecloth is to kitty. Then you'll understand the need for something much softer and gentler. btw, I didn't think it was gross when Kitty tried to nuzzle the lady's lip. I thought it was lovely. Very reassuring and nurturing for Kitty, and very sweet and heartwarming for the lady. Don't let human taboos get in the way of your interaction with her, cats don't have that taboo, and it's doing her the world of good. I hpe Kitty found a wonderful forever home.

Please don't give up, keep on trying to give it the bottle. The hole in the nipple may be to big for the kittens age. Get a new one and cut a smaller hole and try again. Please don't give up.
Lynn Pearse I read online and modified the way I fed him. He's above 5 months now and doing great. No more bottles. He does like to act like he's nursing on blankets though.

You will need to stimulate the kittens genitals to make it pee to keep from urinary tract infections at that age. That's why the mother cat licks them there.

This little kitty is exactly the same look and age when I found my "Baby Kitty". We did the same bottle feeding thing as you and she is now 12 years old and we still call her "Baby Kitty", though she is quite larger now. God bless you for taking her in.
Cats dont lay on there backs to feed and it works with a smaller teat wrapped so they can tread its an instinct to bring more milk from mum.And all that picking up would be really hard for a cat.

When wiping a kitten this small. You dabb their bottoms, gently. That avoids abrasions to thier bottoms. Feed them when their lying on their stomachs.
