Some of my fondest early memories was going to the skeet range with dad. Too young to shoot, just stood in the squad and watched. Learned a few years later with him.
Thanks for the comb spacing tip. I got some Everbilt 3/8 SAE flat washers#376 924 and they fit perfectly and now the comb doesn't 'float' with just the set screw tension.
Great job sir! Good to see you back on the Tube! Congratulations on achieving your non-profit status! Very good to see your little man actively participating in the sport. I think he'll look back on these times fondly and pass along a great legacy that you're instilling in him. Salute!
Thanks J.!! I was surprised the non-profit came through as fast as it did. I was expecting a few more weeks. The little guy definitely enjoys being at the range and I enjoy the company.
Love what you're doing brother. Just getting into skeet shooting & trying to get my youngest son into it but its getting cold up here in NY so we might have to wait awhile. Congratulations on your new born & God bless your wife. Keep spending as much time as you can with them because before you know it, they'll be out of the house. My wife & I are facing empty nest stuff, 2 of 3 are out of the house. Its a difficult adjustment and it happens before you know it. God bless.
Thanks for your review of the Condor Competition. Bought might two months ago and 300 rounds later, I am very happy. I did take it apart when I got it and degreased it, including the trigger mechanism, and re-oiled it. It has worked great both on trap and skeet. I only wish they had an IM choke. Other than that great gun for the money.
Heyyy good to see you back online brother. Congrads on the healthy lil one man . Two boys is a great thing lol. I was just looking at some of your old vid's last week. This vid is right on time man lol. Be good and please keep the great content coming man we enjoy it a lot.
Thanks! I'd say take the dive into the local matches. Generally nice folks who love to share tips and technique to become a better a shooter. Usually worth being the newb as there is no pressure to win, just do your best and have fun. The scores will go up pretty quick if you stick with it.
Great Info. Appreciate it. Hey. I just got back into trap shooting after about 20 years away from it. Currently I'm using my Remington 870 but I'm looking for a second gun for when my kids visit. Would like to step up a bit but not break the bank. I have been considering the Stoeger Condor Competition but every time I get close to going in that direction, someone comes along and rips it. Basically telling me you get what you pay for. I'm looking for a gun for trap... nothing else. Maybe do some doubles. I do maybe 100 rounds a week. You mention in your video about the safety issue which I have heard as well. Also considering a used more "accepted" OU but keep coming back to the Condor Competition. Anything else you can add would be appreciated. Thank You!
Nice vid bud. I used to shoot back in high school and now at 20 years old I just bought a Beretta UGB 25 Xcel. May I make a recommendation for your Condor Conpetition? Get rid of that steel front bead and put a Hi Viz front sight. I think it’ll really make a difference and make the gun look even better!
Great videos! Im looking at the Stoeger Competition and more expensive shotguns for trap, just wondering if you would buy it again and if the new one you received is still doing the job. Thanks
Aww man, congrats. Your life is about to change forever. Just keep em on the milk jugs as long as you can. When you start seeing teeth, prepare your wallet lol.
Awesome video. I recently got interested in trap shooting.Been using my trusty old mossberg 500. I was looking into the stoeger comp but like others someone always has negatives about it. How's yours holding up.
No they usually have one. Stoeger do have multiple types of condors and when I looked at the competition at my local cabelas they have 2 beads already on it
Had a few questions for you, just wanna pick your brain on the Stoeger Competition. I've watched both of your videos with the shotgun and it's good stuff. I've been in the market for a gun to upgrade in trap, and also to branch out into Skeet and sporting clays hopefully. Given that I work for the Missouri Department of Conservation and in still in college, the money for a higher end O/U isn't in the equation but this Stoeger is. Just wanted your feedback on how it has held up for you so far? For me, it would probably go through 1,500 to 2,000 rounds a year in trap, plus some more given how I like Skeet or sporting clays. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
I have looked at the several times at a few different stores. My recommendation is to spend a little more for a decent semiauto or save up for an entry level O/U like a : Beretta, Browning, Fabarm, or Rizzini. I have no faith is Brazilian made firearms after I’ve had to many failures, poor workmanship, or bad customer service where the firearms is at the factory longer than I’ve had it in hand. FYI Browning’s customer service Sucks too, but isn’t needed for the most part.
HEY!!! Happy new-mid year lol. The baby has pretty much evolved into the baby from that movie Boss Baby. Kid is great but he's a controlling little booger. No complaints tho. Both of my boys are good and healthy.
man it does my heart good to see a man spending time with the young people and teaching them
Some of my fondest early memories was going to the skeet range with dad. Too young to shoot, just stood in the squad and watched. Learned a few years later with him.
Me and my son are best buddies too ! So awesome to see a great family ! God bless

Glad to see you back. I've gotten into shooting clays lately as well. Not quite good enough to join any local matches yet, but that's coming.

Did you add the sight bead on the middle of the barrels? My Stoeger competition only has one bead near the end of the barrel.

Are you able to shoot the second barrel right after the first? does the trigger reset?
No they usually have one. Stoeger do have multiple types of condors and when I looked at the competition at my local cabelas they have 2 beads already on it
Glad to see you back!

Happy New Year brother! How is the baby doing?
HEY!!! Happy new-mid year lol. The baby has pretty much evolved into the baby from that movie Boss Baby. Kid is great but he's a controlling little booger. No complaints tho. Both of my boys are good and healthy.
Hey brother I just donated a few bucks to the group. I hope it helps and I hope you guys can reach the goal.
Every penny gets put to good use. Everything helps for sure! Thanks!!

Much appreciated!!
He's back...... what's up bud hey hopefully we can link up again brother..... pm because I've tried to call, but I think your number has changed
Yoooooooo! Sup dude. Nah number hasn't changed. I'll PM you.
Bad barrel contingency is unacceptable and problematic in cheap azz trap guns. Why you want to avoid this model people.
