      Danny Winget t300 chi is better than surface 3? Thanks

    • @prettaekookie5644
      @prettaekookie5644 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Long Le Minh can't say if which is better than which. But, based on the spec and size, they are not in the same line. Surface 3 probably is a competitor of T100 chi. T300 Chi has core M, which was designed for 2-in-1 tablet/laptop to replace core i3/5/7. Core M and Atom (which on T100 Chi or Surface 3) are also fanless. But, core M is much more powerful than Atom, at least in theory. Although MS surface 3 (4GB RAM) is nearly same as a T300 Chi (4GB RAM), they're still not the same processor power. Wait for MS Surface pro 4 (maybe with core M) to compare. If you are considering between these, I suggest to buy:
      1. The T300 Chi IF you want to play game, do editing photos/movies because it's more powerful + better HD graphic
      2. The Surface 3 if you love brand name of technology because MS can be named as a most luxurious of Windows tablet 2-in-1 now. Add, they have better material=> make it last longer. Finally, they have optional mobile networks ( 4g LTE or your in Vietnam must be 3G).

    • @prettaekookie5644
      @prettaekookie5644 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Long Le Minh To correct my point from upper comment, I meant that surface 3 (4GB RAM) price ~ T300 Chi (4GB RAM).
      Moreover, if you don't need a more powerful processor like core M, you can consider the T100 Chi, too. T300 chi and t100 chi has the same design, but t100 chi has the same size as surface 3 (in length and width). But, they are much thinner in depth (tablet compare only). When to attact the keyboard dock to t100 Chi they are just as thin as the width of surface 3 (without keyboard), or maybe a little bit smaller. I got a T100 CHI today, and very pleasure with its good-looking and its weight. If you're a college student (not about IT majors) like me, I think it must be good for you. It's beautiful, slim design, light weight, premium material (or maybe just look very luxurious design). Last but not least, they are now much cheaper than surface 3, which never on sale. I bought 2GB RAM+64GB brand new just $299. Same storage of surface 3 is $499, and you have to buy keyboard.

    Solid review, video quality was top notch. I used my Asus Transformer Book T100 for an entire semester, and although it did everything without any hiccups I really want more screen real estate. So which would be the better buy, the Asus Transformer Book T300 Chi or the Asus Zenbook UX305? I have yet to see a comparison between the two. I'll be checking out more of your videos, keep em coming.

    Hi Danny, I still not very sure what hybrid laptop to buy for school and daily use..
    But I think the Microsoft surface 3 (I think pro is just a waste of money for me because I don't need a serious laptop, just for school and browsing..). Can you please make a comparison video between the Microsoft surface 3 (or pro) and the Asus transformer chi t300 and do also full review about the surface itself? Thanks..

    I'm still using the first Transformer Book TX300, which houses TWO SD card slots, 500GB HDD, 128GB in the tablet, separate battery in the keyboard, but still on the bit heavy side and the battery life is not great and the connection between keyboard and tablet is -atrocious-. I was hoping for this edition to be the step forward but ASUS has made many sacrifices in order to maintain aesthetics and design, while keeping many of the problems of earlier iterations present.
    I still think that the first edition was really their attempt to create the best hybrid on the market, and with every iteration they are scaling back somewhat to keep the cost down.

    I'd love to see a convertible like this really geared towards graphic artists and designers, but the horsepower needed would require a design that incorporates fans for cooling at this point in time. I hope we will see some super-performance convertibles in the near future. I'm willing to wait though! Kudos to Asus, they're my favorite device manufacturer. All of their products are really beautiful, even their low end stuff.

      You would be surprised as to how quick this little guys is. I'm running PhotoShop, with the pen, which is a must have accessory by the way, Sketcbook Pro, ArtRage and even Blender for video editing. When I need more horsepower for rendering I just connect my self made render box which consists of 5 Nvidia Jetson K1 development boards (I bought them for only 80 bucks a piece), which I can't recommend enough getting at least three. With the 960 CUDA cores it blazes through even the most demanding GPU tasks, example; I can render a 5 minute movie as fast as my neighbors Mac Pro with a 12 Core Xeon processor, no embellishment. In fact he sold his Mac Pro recently and bought a SurfaceBook, than added 5 of the new Nvidia development boards with the X1 CPU, which brought the CUDA core count up to 1280 from 960. With the SurfaceBooks dedicated NVidia 950M GPU, he his actually quite comfortable using it with the Davinci video editor. Which is now my favorite video editor, it just blows away Final Cut Pro X in almost every concievable way. As far as battery life is concerned, I'm getting a consistent 6 hours with mine running it at 75% display brightness. It's actually amazing just how much 25% will do. The Asus's display has a 600nit display so even at 50% it's still very useable. The only problem with having such a bright display is burn in, so be careful as to not let the machine run over night without the display off. All in all I'm very happy with the 2 in 1, I chose it over the Surface Pro 4 because of it's size, it's seriosly thin guys, thinner than the iPad Pro which is just amazing for such a computer. It's also an absolutely gorgeous looking piece of tech, the back of the display has a rubbery matte feel so it grips easy in the hand. You can install Remix OS or Android x86 in a dual boot, so you have a full tablet OS for when you just want to consume content or play games. Finially, definitely but the 8GB version, 4GB just isn't enough anymore, even if all you use is the browser. Which by the way is a great experience, the Asus Chi makes for a great ChromeBook if web apps are your thing, they are mine in fact all I use now for my development work are cloud IDE's, even Microsoft Office online or Apple's office stuff, though it's no where as powerful as Microsofts cloud solutions. I would even dare say that the Asus Chi is a better buy than the iPad Pro, especially for those who need a productivity machines as well as a leisure tablet. The iPad Pro, despite how many say otherwise, is not a laptop replacement, it's just a larger iPad. Even with the keyboard attached I wanted so desperately to use a mouse for instance as constantly have to reach up to navigate the UI just got tiring. IOS is just a mobile OS, not even a good one at that. Grab this instead, there about 700 bucks now, than take that extra 300 bucks and buy a Xiaomi MiPad 2 OS you have a dedicated Androd tablet as well.

    I just want to get tips from people that would know better then me on tablets. I built a gaming desktop and have been using my laptop less and less due to the desktop but have seen myself increasingly using my tablet for the extra portability. The tablet is the Asus transformer T100ta, the issue is it has trouble running some programs that end up crashing and i get a warning saying that i did not have enough rams to run the programs or it starts to slow down from which i think is the CPU not being strong enough (don't know for sure but this is what i believe is causing the slow down).
    So heres what I was wondering, I am planning on selling my current laptop on ebay (i see its going for around 800 dollars but I'm going to ask 650-700 to try to get it to sell faster) and was wondering what tablet I should get. I am thinking the surface 3, transformer book t300 chi or anything in that line of tablets. I need it for when i go to college, microsoft word, editing programs, very light gaming (steam home-streaming sometimes or old games to just past time), and etc. I am good with desktops but never had luck with tablets so this is way I'm asking before I make a mistake in buying the wrong tablet.
    Any tip would be appreciated and I have to have this figured out before the end of this year. Thanks.
    P.S.
    I am just looking for something with more then 4gb of ram and at least 128gb of memory

  • @lancelotxavier9084
    @lancelotxavier9084 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    The keyboard is almost unusable. Bluetooth reconnect can take up to 15 seconds. No backlighting. Squishy keys. Small and clumsy trackpad. Due to the keyboard constant disconnection every few seconds (not changeable, default power saver mode) combined with its clumsy nature of the trackpad, it is impossible to use this trackpad for media work. Even casual use is very frustrating. One will have to also carry a separate mouse. Hence, also a OTG cable to convert the micro USB to a regular USB for the mouse. So there goes the purpose of a compact slim design.
    This guy is the ONLY reviewer that gave the keyboard and trackpad positive comments. However, the one thing I really like is the separate power connector. The old school barrel connector. Solid and does not take up the precious USB port.

    What about mobile internet (celluar)? A tablet without mobile internet is only half as usable.

      +burnsnewman its not really a "tablet". its basically a laptop with a disconnectable keyboard and touch screen. if one owns this, they probably own a 4g phone and can tether, that's how i use it. my only real complaint is that the keyboard acts as the stand, and doesnt rotate back far enough. also mine didn't come with a stylus, so i'm having to order one, but i bought mine refurb in excellent condition for dirt cheap ($326 shipped) and was the only "tablet" of this size that had an actual processor not some ARM bullshit that can't handle fuck all.
      also, i absolutely HATE the new mouse touchpads that all mobile devices that have them are getting. they're that "whole button" concept and its fucking garbage. IMO if the right/left click are not seperated from the "touchpad" area then its fucking useless. i need dedicated left/right click buttons and i need the pad to not be depressable.

    That battery life tho. I'm looking for something similar to this. Battery life and ports definitely trump thin for me. Anyone have any suggestions? (Besides surface units)

    An excellent and "cheap" Asus-branded PC with a core M is the zenbook ux305 with a really greatest design in aluminium and a better battery, keyboard etc... For me, this transformer book cannot a PC because it has no USB port ! (Asus try to imitate the new MacBook but it is not a good idea... ^^) And if you really want an hybrid PC, you must chose the surface (pro ?) 3 because it is a much better product for me... ;)

      Tes but thé USB 3 is not yet democratize... But yes it is a good and interessant production but I think it is like the new MacBook, too much ahead on its time ;) But I really think that the hybrid PCs will be the future of laptops ;) (it is really great that you answer me, I like your videos but I didn't comment anytime before today so I think that you really are a good youtuber ;P)

      hugo connetable I just realized about the shit that I said in my previous post... A USB 3.0 is not a USB C ^^ But it doesn't matter because it is a micro USB so if you want to connect a USB key for example you need an adaptator...

    It is an amazing device. Although, as you said, speakers are very very lame. Also when you download iTunes resolution in program is lower than for example in Chrome (or can anyone help me with this?) (:

      Luca Giannini Can't say anything about Windows 10 but Linux did a great job improving the battery life on my t300. Depending on screen brightness and cpu settings i get up to 6 hours. With brightness all the way up and high cpu usage i can confirm the 4 hours from the review.

    It's a shame they went with a micro-B USB 3 port instead of a standard-A that accepts all our existing USB devices, but I guess that was a sacrifice for the thinness.
