  • Lung nodules are found in up to half of adults who get a chest x-ray or CT scan. Often called a spot on the lung or a shadow, they usually don’t cause any noticeable problems. However, in some cases, they can be an early sign of cancer. That’s why it’s important to seek follow-up care to accurately diagnose and monitor lung nodules. During this podcast, Dr. Ziv Gamliel, chief of Thoracic Surgery at The Angelos Center for Lung Diseases at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center discusses lung nodules…what they are and how they are diagnosed and treated.

He sounds like a really nice person who encourages his patients which is SO important. My oncologist, although a competent doctor, totally lacks this super important skill.

Thank you so much for this video because about a year ago a CT scan was done and they found multiple lung nodules in my lungs and said oh they're probably benign and moved on and now I'm starting to have more trouble breathing. Sadly they just don't listen but I'm not going to let it go this time! Especially when I have swelling all over my body in my joints. Totally RA which would mean that those lung nodules have something to do with the rheumatoid arthritis and their irreversible interstitial lung disease is irreversible. I wish all doctors were like this doctor!
