This lesson is of a great quality: 1) Tab + notes + chords 2) Zoom on rigth hand 3) Zoom on left hand 4) Examples with a different tempo for a better learning progresion Thanks a lot for your effort and taste
i would really like some more videos about this fingerpicking style. The whole 'The guitar of brian setzer" from Hot Licks should have been filmed this way ;)
Ahh...it's funny because this song has been a focus for me for a while now and I couldn't work out the exact picking on the A chord but now I know, thanks to you. Thanks David :-)
Très pédagogique pour apprendre se standard d'Elvis que je joue aussi. Bravo. Very educational to learn is classic Elvis that I play too. Bravo.Excuse me for my English.
I do mine totally different, and how I learnt it. I prefer it, but this was good. It's quicker to flatten your fingers to get that edge. I might demonstrate in a video someday, but I don't know with my bad webcam. .-.
Very good.I always did it ( incorrect ) with a fast change between A and E. It sounds ok .But just the only way i ever did it .This is much easier to get the hang of .
I thought the on the E chord in the beginning, the index finger on the G string did the hammer on? Then you flatten you ring finger to cover an A chord. I realize there are always variations on a certain song.
You're not playing the last two beats of the A7 part as written. You're playing eighth note eighth note quarter note instead of the way it's written which is quarter note eighth note eighth note. Minor quibble over an otherwise excellent lesson. I've wondered how that went for 40 years. Having the tab, in rhythm, with the left hand and right hand is so exactly the way a lesson like this should be done. At with a metronome and increasingly faster. Most excellent job!!
Not to be too critical (I have much difficulty nailing this groove), but it seems to me you are missing the essential hammer-on from the open g to the g#.
E-minor minus the finger on the fifth string second fret, and all the other fingers ready to go to A-major, so it might look like A-minor to you. Anyway, fingers are close to the strings so it might be hard to see if they're actually in the string or just above it.

🎉 great sound that will never age
This is one of the best youtube guitarlessons I've come across! Keep up the good work!
Another mission accomplished.

Brian Setzer, that's beyond most of my pupils.
Maybe post some 'next-level' lessons too ;)
Out of all the guitar lessons I've seen online, this is by far one of the best. Keep up the good work. Great stuff! :)
Thanks!

I just downloaded the tabs from your website. Thank you very much!
I'm a subscriber, absolutely perfect way to teach guitar for me. Thanks for sharing.
Lijkt op je nieuwe aanwinst, mooie sound, supergaaf.
Ik ben benieuwd hoe dat live klinkt. Neem hem maar een keer mee als dat gaat (-;

Amazing method. Thanks.

+Scott Nipper You're right, well spotted! The last bar should look the same as the first. It doesn't, my mistake. But at lest I play it correctly.
+MeesterDavidGitaar 'least' ... yet another typo ...
Hij is natuurlijk vooral voor in de spiegel. ;-)
very helpful, thanks

It seems many people are playing this differently. This is what I made for my pupils to learn.
bien. Merci.. JM
Thanks!
This has been a life long dream and I'm still having trouble getting it together. It sounds so simple but.......
I think the difficulty is in the speed; it's so fast!
MeesterDavidGitaar When you're playing fast it doesn't sound like you're hitting all of the strings.
I think I do ...
I think I do have it now. You know there are a lot of covers but only a handful, if that, play it the way it was originally done on Sun Records.
Awesome lesson! Could you do a few more bars of the son for us idiots?
WHERE DID YOU GET THE TAB?
I made it.
Mission accompished. :-)
kunt u mij de bladmuziek sturen?
alvast bedankt
Kijk even op mijn website voor de hele tab. Maar eigenlijk heb je hier genoeg aan hoor.
Aren't you holding Am instead of E in the second part of the screen.
E-minor minus the finger on the fifth string second fret, and all the other fingers ready to go to A-major, so it might look like A-minor to you. Anyway, fingers are close to the strings so it might be hard to see if they're actually in the string or just above it.
As ever, full tabs on my website. Read the info under the video.
HARD!
Keep it slow and steady. Don't speed up till you're sure of what you're doing.
I eliminated half of the notes for both riffs because when you play at a certain speed it sounds like you arent playing everything
No fluff. This video was all lesson.
That's the whole idea about video lessons, isn't it?.
@@MeesterDavidGitaar Yes it is. And I appreciate it.
yeah i just learned this and i don't even have a guitar in my hand
I think you should watch Scotty Moore do it first before you make a video
That's not correct
Turn metronome off
It's the best way to learn.
