The front camera only worked for a few seconds before the image used to freeze (iPhone 6 128gb) and I'm happy to say that applying pressure below the rear-camera ( as described at 1:05 ) solved it for me! Thanks a bunch!
Thanks very much for your brilliant idea. I was able to resolved my iphone 6 plus' camera issue. My rear camera or flash couldn't work. But when i applied the method of holding the power button and the home key all at once, the problem was resolved at my first trial. Again thanks for your idea.
for all of you that this isn't working for, try what I did to make it finally work. I went to my settings and clicked on general, then click on "Date & Time". Set your iphone back to a date where the camera worked. I set mine to april 21st. Then press the home and power button at the same time and you'll get a blue screen (Its restarting) after that your camera SHOULD work. It worked for mine and so far there are no negative repercussions from this on my phone.

Guys if you want dont do it i made my own solution in fixing my Iphone 5s. At first i backup my iphone to my computer then i erased all data and content and i logged in into my icloud profile everything returned the same if you want to do this method dont blame me if it didnot work ok

None of these works for me. The Reset All Settings was a bit of awful advice, really wish I hadn't done it. iMessages on my mac aren't showing up on my phone and vice-versa any more, so now I have to figure out how to fix that. My iPhone won't connect to the internet via wifi also, all my passwords are erased and even if I type it correctly it still gives me the 'Incorrect password' prompt. Not as big deal but my old background image is completely gone (it was the wave image from iPhone 4, and is now a new default one that I don't like as much). Holding down the camera app brings up a menu in the current ios too so maybe that's was the fix but doesn't work on

I have an iphone 6 ios 9.3.5 My Camera Was NOT Working at all (Black Screen) , nor was the Flash (and Flashlight) I Too got Error that read "Iphone needs to cool down for flash".... Front facing camera (Selfie) was working perfectly. I Managed to TRY method 2, press around the camera lens slightly and even hit it against the palm of my hand. Managed to get the Flash working (and Flashlight) but still black screen. Then, i Hard Reset the device , Held down both the power and home button and when it restarted, i had my camera back, thank you

Mine can’t be fixed from the steps above I replaced the motherboard due to it being faulty and this new motherboard had iOS 10.3.2 but when I open camera it is blank but when I switch to recording it records only videos

the problem my camera was having is it wouldn't let you take video. Acted like the memory was full. even after deleting several videos it would only record about a second of video. I went trough your steps in order and step number 4 fixed that issue it seems. I didn't get the opportunity to try step 5. Anyway thank you. My issue is now I have to reprogram a pass code to access the phone and all my background settings are now gone.
