Hey everyone I’m a real dude from Australia and I can attest that this guys methods work. I have an iPhone 8 and for a few months it’s been giving me black front facing camera screen and no flash light. Important - I reset my settings not my data so I copied his method and I’m so happy my camera is back up and running . Be careful not to system reset just reset phone settings , you don’t want to lose data . But legit take your time your phone can be saved . Thanks bro you saved me money time and energy . Ok so I found a fix. What I did was turn the flashlight on then off then went back to the camera then back to the flashlight, turned it on then off then went back to the camera and it worked for me every time. hHpe this works for someone else

macdaddypimpping hey i have a question!! Every time I go to the camera app and I press on the photo option there’s this crack visible. I don’t know if it’s the rear camera or the lens protecter. But I have an iPhone 7 Plus and the portrait lens is fine there is no crack. The normal photo lens is cracked or something idk 😐

The problem is the ribbon cable thats connected to the flash and lock button theyre one cable and most likely if the lock button still works the flash might have fried. Its a cheap repair dont worry

Disconnecting and connecting the speaker while booting the phone fixed the problem for me. There is absolutely no logic in this, but it did it and now it works perfectly fine. Thanks a lot dude. Btw it's an iPhone 6, that i fixed.

I had the same issue and I just fixed it yesterday. All I had to do was buy a new camera, unfortunately if both you camera and flashlight isn't working, then its a damaged camera. My x2 zoom and front cameras worked fine but 1x camera was black.

That depends on if you drop your iPhone or the cause of your flashlight not working. I hope your flashlight is not shorted out.

My 7plus did this to fix my problem I opened up my iPhone ( lord those screws are tiny! ) & made sure the connections to the back camera which mine was loose once I reconnected & tighten some screws it worked like new!

You will need to determine 1st if your camera & flash are software or hardware failure. The iPhone in the video was having the same issues like yours and got it fixed.

How to fix this problem for sure and permanently. All these stupid hard resets and Turing on and off settings has nothing to do with this issue. It because you dropped your phone or replaced your screen “or someone else did” and your ribbon cable connected to the back side of your phone where your hand holds it has come off or loose and isn’t snapped together properly. Focus first making sure the main ribbon cable is connected properly before looking into the front screen. Do yourselves a favor and stop searching around and guessing yourselves. Whenever there is a break in continuity it can cause heat and system failure. If it dosnt work order new rear connecting ribbon cable any try again
Bro, not every iPhone have the same issues like yours. Some are drop, water damage, software or hardware problems. It's not as simple as just one simple fix or else Apple will not make money on their service.
macdaddypimpping exactly. They don’t want you to fix it yourself so they can make money. This iPhone was dropped, had water damage, also software issues. Point is it’s fixed with simply going over the internal side of the phone without paying apple to do it. Which is why people follow these videos. Also why I commented on this specific video. if you have restored you phone up to date and did hard resets and reconfigured the system and it worked awesome!!!! Most the time that isn’t the case. Reason why I posted what I posted in the first place. So after all that hopefulness and it dosnt work. Give what I said a shot and I bet!! It just might solve more of other peoples problems.ACTUALLY IT IS THAT SIMPLE.Might take a little patience

IOS 14 ruined majority of all older iPhone from X and older but not on iPhone 11 because it's the newest as of now! Apple tends to let users or Apple fans think that their old iPhone went bad and need to be replace with a new ones.

Idk what’s going on but i think it’s dealing with the power issue maybe some ic or your battery phone health. My phone is a iPhone 7 and it has 70% of batery health when this problem shows up, but anyway here’s the method try airplane mode your phone and enable low battery mode on your phone and then relaunch the camera after that press the shutter button rapidly and if not working too try to launch it again and then tried it again. I hope it works on your phone too because it working on my phone as long as the airplane mode was enable the camera working flawlessly thankyou

You have to find out if your camera is a software issue or hardware issue first.
It is a hardware issue. I’ve tried all the other methods and they don’t work. Even my Face ID has spoilt too. Sometimes when the back camera comes on, and I restart my phone due to some other issues it goes off again💔

NOTHING IN THIS VIDEO WORKED, what I did to get my camera working was; 1) remove the screen, you will then need to remove the plate behind the camera (5 pentalobe screws), then disconnect the 4 ribbed/plugged in attachments to gain access to the camera 2) disconnect/unplug the ribbing for the camera 3) reconnect everything and test before attaching screen - that worked for me :-)

If your camera is not working then it might be a fix with IOS update. You will need to determine if your iPhone has a software issue or hardware issue first by installing a 3rd party app such as: Instagram, Line, TikTok to test out your cameras and if any of these apps work with your cameras then you have a software issue. After installing 3rd party apps and both of your cameras still not working then it will be your hardware.

Lots of Apple fans are getting this issues after updating to the newer IOS or customers dropped their iPhones or water damaged. I don't think you have tried all the steps in the video by opening your iPhone and disconnect those flex cables that I talked about. Call your local repair shop for an estimate, just don't get ripoff. Good luck.

You might want to try to last method that I showed in the video, but all the iPhone vary for its symptoms.

Sometimes hardware just stuck into certain mode and by disconnect power completely will reset any hardware issues.
