Fantastic bit of filming, she sounds fantastic, and just pure engine note as well, no people chatting in the background :)

The Alexander Leyland Atlantean design is one of my favourite designs and Alexander has made some of the best bus designs over the years until 2006 when they lost their way with the first get Enviro 200 and 400 buses. Really enjoyed this video and here is a like for the footage :).

Transport & Simulation Hub you think ADL lost their way in terms of design? I would argue that the Enrivo 200/400 models are more appealing than something like the EvoSeti.

@@LandAnchor I am referring to the 2006 E200/E400's as personally I didn't like the design and the back seats on the lower deck are rock hard. But yeah you are right about the MCV Evoseti though, they are pure garbage like anything MCV now makes. I do like the MMC range from ADL though such as the E400 MMC that Reading Buses have and it would be grand if Translink NI ordered some in the future as they update their buses.

Wow! Love that sound. I have driven numerous Atlanteans, from the early M & D PDR1/1 type to the last AN68s supplied to Lancaster, and I still think there's nothing to touch them. Superb buses!

This is one of the nicest Atlanteans around, I got to drive it when it belonged to Confidence of Leicester.
    Thanks for sharing!

I remember buses looking and sounding like this! Nicer, simpler more pleasant times! I can also remember heating my hands up as a kid on a Leyland National Bus in Longton bus station in Stoke-on-Trent as a kid in the very early 80s!

Sound of my childhood buses in Singapore, when they were still using the Atlanteans till arnd the millenium. A few units had been exported to Hong Kong.

Sound of my youth. Sounds so familliar even after so many years. Used to love these lazy bus rides.. Know the sound from polish Jelcz PR110M bus. Polish were making engines basis Leyland 0.680 licence, from late 70's troughout 80's.
These polish engines were usually poor quality due to 'alternative' economic circumstances, but sounded exactly the same :)

Just one niggle! At the start of the video, the driver revved the nuts off the bus. It would have been better driving to gently get the bus moving and change up before the junction rather than holding quite high revs and having one hand off the wheel changing gear. Other than that, a very impressive drive.
