- Let's install the cajun bandit folding side table for the weber smokey mountain 22". This is a great first mod because there is no drilling involved. The installation uses the WSM, pre-existing holes to mount the cajun bandit folding side table. This makes the folding table one of the easiest modifications you can do to your weber smokey mountain. This side shelf is available for both the 18" and 22" weber smokey mountain.

LOL, yes, cajun bandit should def come up with a table to help install the side table. Glad you enjoyed the video. I tried making it a bit fun because, the installation is so easy, I don't think there's really a need for it, hence why I filled it with a bunch of 'dad jokes' 😂

I don't want to talk about that flying WSM, it almost made me me blow up my computer LOL. looking back, I should probably have put it at the top of the video since I don't think many people will make it that far, haha. I am using final cut pro after using imovie for quite a while but now way I could have done this on imovie. thanksfully it was an easy transition because both work very similarly.

So I just got me a MacBook Pro M1pro, first time Mac user, for some on-line classes I'm taking for work and with the intentions of finally trying to edit on a computer instead of my phone. I did everything off my phone. Video & editing. Didn't know if I should fork over the $300 for final cut pro. What sucks right now though is my phones camera has been acting up on me so I can't make videos til I get another phone or try to look into getting a camera....
very jealous! that laptop looks awesome. maybe it's time to just upgrade your phone? phone cameras nowadays are pretty great and in theory we are upgrading our phones every couple of years so our cameras keep getting better and better.
What kind of cover did u get/buy for your 22 wsm since you installed the side table??
I got the Ravenna made by “classic accessories” bought it on Amazon. It’s suppose to be for a kettle but it fit my WSM 22” with the table perfectly. With plenty of room for an extra table if I decide to add it in.
How sturdy is the shelf? Would you feel confident it would hold 15-20 lbs?
the table itself is pretty sturdy. haven't seen the capacity but I will say the weak point is not the table but where the cylinder joins the bottom bowl. I've heard of people tipping it over when they install a lid hinge on the 22" so I'd imagine the same could happen if you put too much weight on the table. In the video, I brought up those cylinder lock kit that cajun bandit sells, it might be a good investment if you are worried about it.
Does this affect the water pan from going back in?
No it doesn't. The table just uses the pre existing holes. so after attaching the table, The bracket holding the lower gate and water pan goes back in and functions normally

What’s the new cover that will fit with the new table?
Check Amazon. But I got one from “classic accessories” large size. It’s meant for kettle but wide enough for my 22” wsm and tall enough to come down to feet.

@@SJCOOKS does it fit all the way to the bottle?
yes it reaches to the bottom. it doesn't drag but it barely hits the bottom on my 22" WSM. It has a draw string at bottom so you can secure for rain or wind and the bottom legs will have about an inch or two of clearance when secured. SO far it's held up well. A little discolored due to it being in the sun but no tearing or any signs of it falling apart.
