Was not expecting that for square! I learned 四角
yes! you can think of 四角 like quadrilateral, as long as it has 4 sides :)
Hoping you’re staying safe with the (potential) earthquake and tsunami, CyberBunny. 😖
My favorite shape is ほしがた☆ because it reminds me of my favorite anime character that is あいほしの
Awesome!
Glad you think so! thanks!
What's the informal version of the question? ありがとうサイバーバニー
usually replace ですか? with なの?
Question! Is the kite shape not considered a normal shape in Japanese? I don’t know too many applications it has outside of being a kite, and I imagine Japanese kites are cuter than the traditional American ones.
a japanese kite is usually all kinds of different shapes! Try google search and you will see lots of variety. It's not what we think when we hear kite in the US!
@@CyberBunny that’s exactly what I mean. The kite shape in American geometry is “a quadrilateral whose four sides can be grouped into two pairs of equal-length sides that are adjacent to each other.” I don’t have any good examples as to why you’d need to know this shape (I’m currently studying for an exam that requires me to know this), but does this shape even exist in Japanese geometry?
