Hey guys in this video I revisit the Joyo British sound pedal. This pedal has speaker emulation in it and is one of the most realistic sounding Marshall in a box pedals I have ever used. Hopefully this song does it justice, I know that Alex Lifeson was using Marshall's at this point in his career, and this pedal pretty much nails it. Let me know what you think in the comments? I love this pedal. I love the Tech21 version even more, but they're both great. Great job with the "Red Barchetta" cover, especially your drummer man! And you nailed every bend on the solo!

Squier and Epiphone! I just can't help but respect and admire that you used them! That's what I use and get 100% of the sound I need from. I've done so much Boston and KISS with Epiphone guitars (and even cheaper Les Pauls/SG's)!
both brands offer decent tones inexpensively. Epiphones are 1/5 the price on average

Just received the joyo brit and Oxford. I also have had the tech 21 gt pedal for quite a while. Playing through a u.s g&l into a line 6 power cab. The tech 21 is far superior. Way less noise ability to get feel. The joyo pedals can get a reasonable tone but the tech 21 goes to the next level. I will be returning the joyo or giving them away

I'll have to give mine another look at. The Voice (Character on The Tech 21) is a mid control that is before the preamp and will add distortion whilst the actual mid control is post preamp and won't add overdrive.
Once, some ppl came over to record a song on my DAW, and I was looking under stuff for this British box, but the guy saw my Joyo American box and stuck it in front of the tube Fender 2x10 pawn shop series amp I had there, and we didn’t need the British one after all; we weren’t hurting for great hard rock sounds using that American one. I have those 2 and the yellow Vox one. Any of them can be used for anything. They’re like, so versatile, it’s just idiotic. I advise the reader to get all of them; they’re great.
Holy great thunderin' turdsticks. Rush is not for the faint of heart, but you guys kept up to my ears.

Thanks. This was a great demo \ cover! You nailed it. Congrats. I own this pedal and the American sound too. These are great recording tools. I find that the controls on those pedals have a very strong effect which requires some carefull tweaking but after a few minutes it is possible to get close to nearly any tone of that family of amp (Marshall resp. Fender).

Brilliant review! Great Rush cover and you're doing both Geddy AND Alex well done!! I prefer your vocal since for my taste I never liked Geddy's timbre singing. Did you really go straight into your DAW with no cab sim or anything else (besides the flanger, of course)?

You are no Geddy Lee but you are very good singer. Love this pedal it's the only one from Joyo's Fantastic Four that is missing from my collection, it sure beats any digital shit ( Katana and others ) on sounding like a tube amp.

I’m not sure whether these have built-in non defeatable speaker sims? I’m pretty sure they do. But meh, the dialage is involved enough to get a good sound used as a stompbox into an amp anyway.

Just got mine, but its so quiet. It drops my signal by... I don't know, I haven't measured it yet, but its got to be -15db, at least. I think I can get back to unity with the volume dimed, but its noisy and adds distortion I don't want. As always when buying a chinese knock off, I'm wondering if this is how the pedal is supposed to sound (messed up) or if I got a dud.
I just don't know...

I just bought a Marshall DSL40 because I wanted a British sound in my palette. My number one amp is a Fender DeVille. It does every other tone majestically, but it just can't touch the crunchy Marshall Rock tone, even with pedals. Well... with the pedals I've tried, anyway.
That's what I wanted to ask you... Can this Marshall in a box (or any, for that matter) pedal get me the same sound as the Marsha combo? (Cos it would sure be easier than running two amps with an A-B switch!).
P.S. Great to hear you sing, man - you've got a set of lungs on ya! Great rock tone, too!😎👍 The whole song was great. Great to hear some great vintage, raunchy rock. (It's like a Unicorn these days!)

Thanks man! I think for live your Marshall's are probably better sounding. but for recording, this thing does the trick, especially if you run it with cabinet ir's and if you're looking for simplicity. I feel fatter than I am....

looking for cheap marshall style pedal for my second smaller pedal board is this a good choice can you run thin in to a clean guitar amp or is it best going in to a pa or interface for recording want it to go in to my clean carvin vintage 16 bought golden browne pedal on reverb like it but i had a frequence noise that if you turned volume down on guitat it would drive you crazy sent it back great videos
I have this pedal and it sounds great in front of an amp or direct into a PA. It has a built-in cab sim. I also have the California (Mesa) and it's equally as good
