Oh gosh that white baby girl looks like my Elsa. She was a baby from the first batch of Norcal babies that came to Arizona.
A lot of the long haired babies look so much like my lil Merida. She was one of the young mommas from the norcal 700 and she is my sweetest baby.
That female orange and black Peruvian is so striking!😍

It would be awesome if a few local farms could donate their veggies that aren't saleable.

This is actually a great idea! I know that a lot of local farmers here on the East Coast have been working with grocery stores and the USDA to make fresh produce available to people. But it would sure go a long way to help Animal Rescues too! I wonder if this is something LAGPR could check into??
Good idea. Additionally, piggies will make use of certain parts of the vegetables that aren't suitable for human consumption. For example, outer leaves on lettuces and other leafy greens etc, the greens from tops of carrots, corn husks, and more.

I sent in a heating pad, last time I talked to Julia on the live about what wish list items . She had mentioned that as one of them. I sent in that along with a cash donation of what I could as well. I don't know if i went ever to California. From Europe to America is very expensive. Not everyone can pay it easily. But if i can someday - I will come around and spend what I can. There are no words how impressive it is what you do and I really want give you something back. You help the piggies, you help the people you help your viewer. Thank you. Just donated $20. I am low on money but piggies take up all the place in my heart. Saskia, you are an angel from Heaven - I know I say it a lot but I just can't say it enough. When I saw these piggies, I just cried and cried and cried. I know that doesn't help, so I help this wee bit buys some veggies to tide these hungry lil ones over for even a moment or medicine or whatever they need. I wish I could give more. Me too, here in the UK. Saskia and Scotty inspired me to go and adopt three. Without their videos I wouldn't have learned so much, so only felt it appropriate to donate, despite being off work long-term sick. I simply had to provide some support to this amazing team 😘

I found this channel a few months back...and I can watch you all the time...it's so sad the injuries and stuff these piggies have been through. I've never seen so many piggies!! Where I live in Montana I've seen a few in pet shops etc. but nothing like these numbers! You work so hard to help them. Y'all have hearts of GOLD!! I've become especially fond of the ones that are all dark colored, as I've never seen ones like that!!!
I lost two of my three guinea pigs in the last few months. They were both almost 5. I just cant imagine anyone treating them with anything other than love because they have so much love to give.
I would feel overwhelmed too.
Just the cost of employees & supplies from bedding to food & medical supplies & misc.....
Piggers being exotics need special care, vitamin c & nail & tooth trims, eyes, ears & feet checks.
Males checked for impacted poops so many issues with the males.
I respect all the work needed to bring health to each & every pigger.

As I watch this video, there are over 22K views. I can't help but imagine what a blessing it would be to LAGPR if each person moved by this would donate just $2 to help with this massive effort! I'm not a shill, just a viewer who is not even in California. And yes, I put my money where my mouth is by donating more than that.

I just wish i lived near you so i can spend all my spear time at the rescue, but i live all the way across the ocean. So the only way i can help is just to donate and hope you guys have enough manpower to power through this
It's "nature" for them to fight, but it is not natural for so many to be forced to live together and be compelled to fight when they normally wouldn't because they would have room to avoid each other.
I am so worried, I hope the blind ones will find homes. I wish I could adopt one of them. :( But I can't drive to California right now.

Is there a fb page in your area where you can put your iso veggies? How about a sams club or costo or even that resturant place what do they do with the veggies thaf are expired.

I Wonder how different this piggies look. They must have bought a lot of different piggies. Other groups which startet with two piggies looked very much alike, I remember.

Is there anything that can be done for the piggies that had their legs broken and then set incorrectly? Or they will live the rest of their life like that?
The state in which these piggies are really breaks my heart. I have 2 piggies, that i really love. I love all animals, really. And is hard for me to see this level of neglect.

My guinea pigs ate like crazy after I got them from Petco do they even feed them
I picked up a pregnant piggie today, she reeked of cigarette smoke and doesn’t know what veggies are. I told her, this is the best day of your life. The same for all your rescue piggies. It’s the best day when you rescued them.

@@deen1927 me too. This week she sees the best exotic vet we have in our area. He’s going to make sure if she’s pregnant, and if so, how many babies.

Theres a farmers market in encino every sunday thats open from 8-1 you may want to go and reach out to the local farmers and ask if you can have some of their unbought produce at the end of the day.

The piggies thank you Saskia & team! Hopefully they’ll never feel neglect again when adopted out. That’s the part that worries me most. Everyone needs to allow for $100/mo. in vet bills per pig & for potentially 7+ yrs! And the older they get, the more care they need! 🐹
Yes Good idea at least 100 or more for vet bills. I'm glad now because of Saskia I know to ask the vet to do an xray and look for calcified bulla, and stuff. Next time I go to see them.

You know I’m sure a lot of people would be interested in a monthly subscription box. I know you guys are very busy right now with other things but you could do guineapig facts or care guides, veggies and fruits that aren’t good for them, enamel pins, art, guinea pig pictures, clothes, water bottles, or like even do something like guineapig care boxes with toys that are good for them. Or even and only fans for clips of bath time or feeding time, cause nothings cuter than some squeaking and munching piggies

Too bad you took the posts, you made down, because no one commented. Now others will not see it, not everybody comments. Posting to social media is like advertising, it reaches many people. Some will care and some won’t. If you could just reach one caring person, you would not know, since they maybe don’t comment, or they see the post 5 years from now, but, it’s one more new person who knows of guinea pigs and how they are little living beings needing help. Then, they may let their friends know, and on and on. Anyhow, sorry, you probably know that, thank you for your caring heart.

Where are all the babies? There are actively pregnant pigs so they were being allowed to breed; there should be a lot of young/baby pigs. I’m worried what their absence means. 😟

I just donated and I let the ads play all the way through on your channel! ❤ A suggestion for extra veggies: When I volunteered at the shelter there in Chatsworth I hunted around grocery stores for discarded veggies that the produce was going to toss out because they didn't look perfect. Ralph's was one of them that let me take boxes of goodies for the rabbits, hamsters, and guinea pigs.
