It’s actually much easier to keep this tank. She even said in the video she doesn’t even need to get her hands wet for a water change she just turns off the flow and flips the valves underneath the tank. Reefing can be almost automatic with very minimal effort if you have enough money
I feel sorry to reefers watching this who can never afford this amount of high end corals, please don't be put-off, just enjoy whatever you have, don't chase the impossible.
I have a REEFINAIN’TEZY lid too! He made it for me at no cost and it says “Breast cancer is strong, but so is she.” And this tank was a gift from her for being there when she battled cancer.
I thought you were a bit crazy when you said this was the nicest tank you had seen, until you started covering it. Absolutely beautiful and what a wonderful setup and plumbing etc. Very, very nice.

i hope people realize that whatever available dry goods you have in the area is regional. it’s what the LFS will sell and what the majority of reefers will use. something to think about. ie. fauna marin, is most likely accessible to people in the area if a lot of reefers use the same product
Those LPS look amazing. Im sticking to Nano tanks as I cant stand all that equipment its like my worst nightmare. Soon as the cabinet opened i was like Noooooo!
@Bonbons Reef Wow, he looks great. That reef tank is beautiful, I have never seen an acanthophyllia/cyranna dominated system. Also don't listen to March, that reef tank has a good number of fish in it.
8.4 pH, bet the probe is not calibrated for continuous immersion. How do you know, well above 8.3 pH is a red flag, put the probe in 7.0 buffer and come back in an hour and see the reading will be well off.....
@@bonbonsreef2014 All the calibration instructions floating around are for pen/sample probes, even the automated ones in the controllers like apex and hydros get the calibration instructions wrong for continuous immersion. The most important buffer is 7 pH, and needs to soak the probe in it for at least 15mins before calibrating (or longer till there is no change in ph value for 10mins while soaking in the buffer solution, this can take 45 mins on old probes). You also need to HCL clean probe before calibration and you also should rehydrate the probe (soak in probe storage solution for 20mins) after HCL clean before calibrating. A decent probe won't wonder much out of calibration if it is cleaned and rehydrated on a regular basis (like once a month in salt water). To use a pH probe above 7 you also need to do 3 point calibration which means 7pH buffer, then 4pH buffer, then 10pH buffer.

Too many people think lights create shimmer. This is not correct. Surface movement creates shimmer To say one light has good shimmer vs another light is quite dumb
Are we sure this lady isn’t just super rich? Maybe she’s just an introvert but it seems like she wasn’t very knowledgeable and just bought everything the shop could sell her. 😅

Stunning! i would not add more fish. I always find it too much when too many fish at in a tank all racing around, there is no calm in that.

With coral growth, isnt a tank this stocked with corals that dont get fragged a real issue? Or do those corals grow that slowly?
