  • This video was taken at a time when Saudi Arabia didn't have a problem with the Ikhwan. There is a later video(when Saudi started to have problems with the Ikhwan) where Salih al Fawzan is asked about this clip and he claims that he refuted the Ikhwan and only the Salafis are Ahlul Sunnah, the translator for the other video mentions in was a slip of a tongue. We can see in this clip Salih al Fawzan repeatedly mentions his words that they have differences with us but that doesn't remove them from Ahlul Sunnah and he even calls it extremism to take them out of it. This video is provided to show that when Scholars do not compromise, they say they're own opinion. When they compromise, they start changing their opinions to suit who they're compromising for.

What happened was in 2012 when the Ikhwan were in the elections so they get to power in Egypt. The majority of Muslims were supporting them. The Madkhalis as usual were against that and wanted a secular ruler to be in rule instead. So this fatwa(which I shared) of Salih al Fawzan was spread so people show that the Ikhwan are Muslims and it was a case of Al wala wal Bara (loyalty and disavowal), an essential and key aspect of Aqeedah.
This fatwa shook the Madkhalis and the intelligence of Saudi(who work very closely with the USA) at the time that they needed a quick retraction, and unfortunately this is what they got from Salih al Fawzan. We seek refuge in Allah from being weak Muslims and being a tool that is used by the Government and from showing no loyalty to Muslims at a time where Loyalty(Al Wala) was compulsory. Imagine calling “Ikhwan a hizb that wants to get to power, that don’t care about Dawah to Allah” when it’s either them or a secular leader that will get to power. It was a time to show your loyalty(Wala). We can see Fawzan failed in the practical aspect of Aqeedah at a fundamental time he was obliged to show it.

Yes, the Saudi secret intelligence, actually it was UAE first who discovered that Ikhwan were planning to take over the government and when they found out, they declared them a "terror organization" and started arresting many Muslims and scholars associated with them.

Sheikh Saleh Al Fawzan said that he corrected himself in the same lecture, not at a later point in time (th-cam.com/video/Qj2NuwWJBFY/w-d-xo.html). So either you watched the full lecture and can provide it so we know he did not go on to correct himself or you are intentionally distorting his words to imply he changed his mind later on by "compromising". You cut out a part of his lecture which speaks for you and cut out the part which speaks against you. If you did this unintentionally, may Allah forgive you and guide you. If you did this intentionally, may the curse of Allah be upon the liars and the deceivers, except those who repent.

@@ayeee.w how about you provide the full lecture as it seems that you have watched all of it. I don’t think you understand Arabic properly to be honest my friend. You’re just full of emotions at this point trying to defend your beloved shaykh and I understand.
Fawzan in the clip that I provided clearly states: “it is extremism to take them out of Ahlul Sunnah and from having the right Aqeedah” and he repeats this claim in the same clip indicating that he believes this. He did NOT respond with a simple “Yes”. He continuously repeats that they have differences with us.
Now You are telling me, in the SAME clip in which he says “it’s extremism to take them out of Ahlul Sunnah and having the right Aqeedah” he later refutes himself and takes them out of Ahlul Sunnah? What a drastic change SubhanAllah. He must think himself to be an extremist then by his own words.
He also clarifies “they have their differences” indicating he knows the methodology of the Ikhwan and he insisted that they were part of Ahlul Sunnah in the clip. So either by your words: Salih al Fawzan changed his whole view drastically within a few minutes or he spoke without knowledge(which means he isn’t a true scholar).
Can you also provide the clip in which he mentions the subtitles which are translated at the end of the video where he says the Ikhwan are this and that as I can’t find the clip.
Based on my understanding, you just chose to believe the other guy rather than me because of your utter disbelief in hearing Fawzans old words and how it contradicts the Saudis current view of the Ikhwan.
Had I wished, I would do the same thing with Fawzan that you guys do with our scholars but I have no time to be so petty and jobless to follow their mistakes and contradictions.

Please find his retraction WRITTEN at the end in the website below in April 2012, NOT in the same clip or else I would’ve found that clip on the internet: abuhusamassalafi.wordpress.com/2012/06/26/%D8%B4%D9%8A%D8%AE%D9%86%D8%A7-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%88%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AF-%D8%B5%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%AD-%D8%A8%D9%86-%D9%81%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D9%86-%D8%A7%D9%84%D9%81%D9%88%D8%B2%D8%A7%D9%86-%D8%A7%D9%84%D8%A5/
