Honkai wouldn't be so underrated if it wasn't so ahead of its time. Back when it was released in 2016, high-end tech that could run it was scarce. Luckily, it's quickly gaining popularity now.
I frequently revisit this video even after since 3 years of its upload. It's a shining example of the power of accompaniment that the piano provides. Here Ru does exemplary work of making the violin shine. The piano is not a "one man army" of an instrument. It cannot play multiple dimensions at once, though that does not stop people from trying. But not everyone is Alicia Keys. Ru plays mostly one octave lower so it doesn't meet the same tonal range the violin is playing in.
Well this has been certainly a lovely Weekend Medley as the amazing pair team-up again. As I've played the other Mihoyo game, I noticed that with regards to music they acquire very good musicians and composers. It's also interesting that a "Night" centric concept is present in each song. As one should expect from the collaboration of these two musicians, the melodies are in perfect harmony, each segment perfectly coordinated and every note on point. The cosplays were excellent as well. Ms. Kathie looking very lovely as Kiana and Ms. RuRu which appears quite alluring as Himeko. Well done ladies, and have a great weekend.
I love how the songs are representation of Kiana's character development. We got Nightglow where she first experienced pain, the guilt she shouldered after Himeko's death etc. Next goes Starfall where she probably was at her lowest, hiding from the mass, was chased by everyone, blaming herself for the honkai eruption, and had nowhere to go all while fighting the herrscher inside her. And finally Moon Halo where she was finally able to let go of her guilt, where she finally come to terms with herself and finally move on.
When I first played Honkai and heard all these songs played I was so touched, and your cover made me even more touched and inspired that this world isn’t really that bad, it’s just how we see it Thank you so much I hope you will continue to stay amazing 😊❤️

This is so lovely. Moon Halo is my absolute favorite. I knew nothing of Honkai Impact 3rd until my brother showed me the Everlasting Flames animation. With Moon Halo playing I was absolutely hooked and sucked in from there. Still making my way through but I adore these characters and this game. Thank you for these beautiful covers (renditions?.)
