I'm an Avs fan who would be happy to see either the Oilers or Stars go on. I do get sick of hearing McDavid's name all the time but he is one of the best players in the league and deserves success. It's silly to not want the team to win just because he's on it. I'm also Canadian so would love to see them go all the way. As for the Stars, even if they're division rivals they are a solid team that I can relate to. They have veterans who are searching for the ultimate prize, as did the Avs. I admire Pete DeBoer, he a great coach and I respect what he's done. And if a Western Conference team wins it shows once again how strong the competition is in the West.
Shaggy I also like the superstition story the media is telling about the Panthers. Of course it's just a tale, but it's pretty fun to see if it'll play out.
Yeah, gotta agree with shaggy the entire team was up and down. Start the season with a 7 game win streak. Then they were mediocre/bad for a while. Then they balanced back out. Then rinse and repeat that for the TDL and playoffs. Its like a heart monitor lol.
Consistently inconsistent
The superstition thing can be kinda fun - like you are somehow participating in, even contributing to, the success of the team. "Must wear jersey X during the playoffs". Can't actually believe any of that makes a difference, that's a bit crazy, but...

Utah's State bird is the California Gull. Utah Gulls. It's the Beehive state. Utah Bees. Both names are kinda silly, but better than the "Yeti".

I just came from ball arena and purchased 2 shirts with Yeti foot. I know it wasnt our identity but as a fan, it is apart of our culture. Our captain is walking with the foot. On his hat. Conversation over.🤐🤐

Hoping it's Utah Mammoth but honestly, it's most likely going to be Utah Yeti. Seems like everyone online wants that name.
Chris, how are you an Avs fan and rooting for/being indifferent toward Edmonton? We hate that team, too. I know Dallas is a longtime rival of us, but I was rooting for them to beat the Oilers because the McDavid glazing is already insane. It’s a necessary evil. Imagine if they win a Cup? We will never hear the end of it.
My focus is more on the league and the benefits it would get from the league's best player finally winning one. Sure the fan base will be insufferable, but that's true for any team that wins it. If Dallas won the Cup they would spend as much time in our message boards telling us how great they are than their own teams boards. So because it's an even playing field when it comes to the fans, I'll go for the guy I have no disdain for in McDavid. This will be a highly watched Cup final and that's a good thing for the NHL as a whole.
Georgiev a solid B for me. I had a feeling you'd back off of that, Chris, because there were a few games where he scared the ____ out of us. To me, though, the playoffs are final exams, and they count more towards a final grade than midterms, and King George was a fricking WALL during the playoffs. I always give 'em room for getting their mojo back, especially at the right time.
As a Utah fan I'm all for upsetting Colorado fans any chance we can. Might as well put footprint logo on the shoulders too. 🤘

The yeti foot is sold in the altitude store. They have hats and jerseys all dedicated to just the yeti foot so the Avs org does still recognize the yeti foot as part of their history. Would rather see them name themselves the Utah Outlaws or something like that vs the yeti or mammoth.

@@LockedOnAvalanche ok, my geegiev grade is D then. You cannot have under 0.9 and over 3.0 stats for wanting to succeed. Wins are good but so was our offensive. I expect lot improvements for geogie next season. Olso it looks like it will be last season for him judgeinh by our contract situation at the moment.
