Right, like, I bought it so that I can safely get to work on my 35 mile commute to work if it snows, and maybe drive down a gentle trail or 2 to go camping. Not to go rock climbing. Not sure why people talk so much shit about these cars, they're perfect at what they're made for. You can't buy an airplane and then talk shit about it because it can't operate as a submarine
Impressive man. I’ve done most of the trails at Uwharrie in my Gen 6 Bronco and some of them are much harder than they appear on Camera. You crushed it!
I loved this video. You guys don't play around! Those are some of the most relentless terrains that I've ever seen a car like that take. For what its worth the Bronco Sport did better than I know I expected.
Just bought a Big Bend today and already looking at a lift kit, and swapping the tires out. Of course my wife will say no way since it's "hers". The 5.0 F150 is mine, so that's fair I guess. Fun to dream though.
that 4wd and advance track error happened to me once when i slipped on ice and was sliding backwards when in gear. it went away the next day and haven't had a single issue
Hey All. Thanks for the Bronco Sport videos. I have many unbelievers when I tell them I take “Bronco JR” off roading. I think I’ll start sharing this one as proof. Yes, we have our limits what we can do but what fun trying. 👍 Hailey’s spotting. Suggest a Customer Appreciation Off Road run and then a big BBQ at the new shop at the end of the day. Or we all can meet up in Moab, UT for the Bronco Safari in May?🤟
How many inches is your Bronco Sport lifted? Mine came with a 1” lift kit but I’m gonna add 3 more inches with my dealership soon so I don’t void the warranty. That sucker is a beast and great content! Keep it up!
Funny how the young guys say nooo is a Ford but the Explorer is also a Ford and did it and teh Big Bronco will go up easu, also a raptor and is really impresive for the Baby Bronco or the Bronco Sport to make almost all the upstacle, i own a Orange Metallic Bronco Sport the Bigbend and i love it i will not go and try this type of offroad, most i will do with mine is cros a river less tha a feet deep or crooss acroos the farm, maybe inside the sand at the beach but nothing major like this, so fro me? this was super impresive...well done my Friends and well Done Ford.
admittedly as someone who thinks the bronco sport is a POS, this was massively impressive on so many levels. i'm just floored at how well this thing performed on a trail it has no business being on. also hats off to you guys for the bravery!
I'll bet these guys break a a lot of stuff seeing the way they drove that first SUV (Ford Explorer?). Things are going to break for that guy a lot with that... "driving style."
Cool to see a youtuber ripping through the trails I grew up riding 4wheelers on. Was the Bronco cutting power due to it being in sand mode? Idk how Ford tuned each terrain mode but I imagine the sand mode will try to limit wheel slip by cutting power so as to prevent the car from digging itself into a sand hole. An option for mud would probably be better in that situation as, im sure you know, you want to keep your momentum up in the mud and keep wheel speed up as well to clear mud from the tire treads. Like i said, idk how ford tuned the terrain modes but that's what I would expect the basics of it to be and would explain why it was cutting power when you started losing traction
@@hrg_tvI’m sure you did but did you try to hold the Traction Control button down for 5 seconds? I thought that would completely shut it off. That’s how it works on my other Ford. Great video btw!
So, the portion of the video where you lost the drive modes and the camera happened to me in the Imperial Sand Dunes in Glamis a couple of weeks ago. We definitely threw some codes and the same thing happened in that after awhile, the vehicle "healed" itself. Did you have an overheat issue at that time? We were at 118 air temperature and definitely did. Would like to know if you did anything further with the car? I had a stock 2022 Badlands that I'm readying for the Rebelle Rally.
Yeah it ended up being a heat issue. I’ve had no issues since this was filmed 3 months ago. Other than the 2.5 inch HRG Offroad lift kit, skid plates, and Toyo AT3s it’s stock.
I think the reason why 4WD was disabled and as well as other components is because the Computer freaked out. I mean taking it through all that I’m sure it was going to activate some sensors.
That did... well... I don't know if "better" than I thought is the right phrase... maybe just... went farther than I thought it would. I think it's awesome that people take stuff like this out to really test the validity of the advertising wank the OEMs wrap these things in. I'm curious to see if anyone starts coming up with tunes to defeat all the electronic BS that steps in to kill the vibe. I get why they're there, but the times when you need the truck the most is when it's going to take a bench. Every time. I've seen that with all the electrics, and these newer gassers. Another thing that I think would help, and I'm sure I'm the last one to say this, is that disconnecting the sways would go a long way towards keeping all four (or at least three of the four) planted on the ground. Also, I think that these trucks with simulated lockers using the brakes are going to chew through pads and rotors like a mormon family at a Golden Corral. And don't think for a second I'm watching this going, "hurr durr... stock Taco go up no prob" or that the trail looks flat. I've never been to Uwharrie, but I know what tough trails look like through a camera and that is some serious shit you're taking it up. 15/10 for driver skill, 6/10 for rig capability.
Why would you ever need to put any vehicle through these unconventional tests? The entire purpose for a 4 wheel drive is for help in the snow or a muddy residential road for more stability. Driving up a rocky mountain side probably wasn't what any of these vehicles were designed for. If that was the case, then your ride home everyday would require you to purchase at least 100 cars per year. The Bronco Sport did alright considering is was on the Abrams A-1 Tank Course.
Love to see people actually wheeling their BS!! I added rock sliders to mine, I have your (HRG) front skid plate, but made my own belly plate and rock sliders. I mounted the sliders directly to the rockers, here's the video, th-cam.com/video/6FWAKh_wQVw/w-d-xo.html
It looked like your skid was closer to the bumper than mine is. Did you install it without the spacers? I took a big hit and used a pair of vice grips to straighten mine back out. But I would not attempt a trail like that in mine. I take it off before going to the dealer for oil change, do you know if they charge extra if the skid is left on?
I'm driving it right now as a rental until my vehicle gets out of the shop , I love the design of the vehicle, I just wish Ford would make a bigger version of it .
@51AB That's the point ! The Bronco sport is the most attractive and comfortable ride , they should've just made it bigger . The other two models are ugly and uncomfortable! I work at a auto auction, I've been in them all ! And , they're overpriced, including the sport model on all trim levels !
SHOULD OF HAD BETTER TIRES FOR TRACTION. MOST OF THAT TRAIL WOULD HAVE BEE ACCOMPLISHED WITH BETTER TIRES. DUH . THE TIRES ON THE TOYOTA ARE WHY BETTER OF COURSE IF DID BETTER.
Can't understand why people deliberately want to abuse their equipment. Maybe it's do to the fact that I have had to work so long and hard to get to where I am today.
It’s off-roading. HRG manufactures lift kits and skid plates. We do a lot of testing to make sure the kits actually stand up. In the end the Bronco Sport handled it like a champ. Nothing actually broke, it just got hot. The skid plates did their job.
they do it so we don't have to. I appreciate youtubers for finding the limits so i know what to expect (and what not to do) when i take out the vehicle i worked long and hard to afford.
Blue BRONCO driver needs to grow a sack and give it some gas up there man! Im watching him just ride the brake and barely gas pushing it! Grow a big pair and let that trail know who you are buddy 😂
I have a Bronco Sport, I did not buy it to be a rock crawler, I bought it to be a mall crawler. Works perfectly at that.
Right, like, I bought it so that I can safely get to work on my 35 mile commute to work if it snows, and maybe drive down a gentle trail or 2 to go camping. Not to go rock climbing. That mini-Bronc is a gnarly little beast!
It would appear so. I wasn’t quite expecting this.
For a awd not a body on frame 4x4, this bronco sport hanged in and did alot.. awesome bro!!!🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Bronco Sport is a little power house - and that it seem to reset itself back to normal is amazing.
You still make me happy of my purchase. If only all my rides weren’t solo. I could try more!
I loved this video. You guys don't play around! Those are some of the most relentless terrains that I've ever seen a car like that take. For what its worth the Bronco Sport did better than I know I expected.

And of course, AWESOME video!
GREAT video!!! I love watching "underdog" rigs killing the trail! Keep em coming! 👍👍
that 4wd and advance track error happened to me once when i slipped on ice and was sliding backwards when in gear. it went away the next day and haven't had a single issue
I have a bronco sport, thank you for beating yours up. I will try to do the same after some upgrades

Clean 1 owner highway miles
the trails that you cross with you bronco sport, its amazing!!!

That’s so gnarly!!!
Glad we put your lift on our Bronco Sport.. if yall wheel like this I know we ain’t breaking nothing 😂
Awesome video! I’m getting my Bronco sport back tomorrow after 3 weeks of warranty repair work.
Thank you 🙏🏻 i love how you guys beat on it and showed everyone thats its a tough lil rig
Bigger/wider tires bigger lift and someone make portal axles for the mini bronco
admittedly as someone who thinks the bronco sport is a POS, this was massively impressive on so many levels. i'm just floored at how well this thing performed on a trail it has no business being on. also hats off to you guys for the bravery!
I'll bet these guys break a a lot of stuff seeing the way they drove that first SUV (Ford Explorer?). Things are going to break for that guy a lot with that... "driving style."
What do you drive? Just curious
maybe it's not a POS after all
thinking it was a softroader or not capable would be fine but thinking it’s a pos for no reason is crazy
Can’t wait for AWDFEST!
Throw some better, more grippy tires on it and it would be a beast. I'm actually impressed with how capable it is. I'm assuming this is stock..?
It honestly did pretty damn good for what it is!
Did you air down? Probably not I sappose so you won't lose more clearance🤷.
Yeah , I’m watching and wondering why the tires aren’t grabbing anything. Even when my TJ was stock I could drop air and crawl this road.
@@61wanderer61 because it's muddy as balls. You need MT's to grip in that trail condition
Great Bronco conntent!!!
Baby bronco, little beast
for be a retair not moded version it did awesome

I tried every mode. Every combination of traction on and off. It always does this. If it let me keep wheel speed I easily could have done this trail!
@@hrg_tvI’m sure you did but did you try to hold the Traction Control button down for 5 seconds?
I thought that would completely shut it off. That’s how it works on my other Ford.
Great video btw!
Great spotter
What was the end results? 1. Does the Bronco Sport a proven 4x4? 2. Is not good to buy one? 3. You do not recommend us to buy it?
Absolutely impressive again…
Would it have been different with BFGoodrich All Terrain tires and less air?
So, the portion of the video where you lost the drive modes and the camera happened to me in the Imperial Sand Dunes in Glamis a couple of weeks ago. Is the rear of the Sploder Limited Slip or a locker installed ??
I mean for what it did, that is pretty impressive!
What tires and wheels are those?
Yank the traction control fuse and it should quit yankin power..s550 mustang problems too lol even with traction control off
if you press and hold the TC Off button it will completely disable it, no fuse yanking necessary.
Was this the 1.5t or 2.0t version?
What Tires are you running on the Bronco Sport
if I decide to buy a Ford bronco sport there's going to be at least a 3 inch lift installed I also subscribed thanks for the video

The BS is a beast of a little SUV!! It's like the good old XJ Cherokees!
you reached the tires limits
bro what psi were you running in your tires

Which model is this? Badlands?
I work at Ford and can tell you is a Badlands

Mine didn’t
It's not made to be a rock crawler that's what the bigger Bronco is for.
That Bronco Sport looks pretty damn good for such a small SUV. Would the current Ford Explorer survive that coarse?
New explorer wheelbase is too long
Pretty impressive for a vehicle with no lockers on it.
it does but its a twin-clutch unit not a real locker, it does the job
Needs more aggressive tires
I'm driving it right now as a rental until my vehicle gets out of the shop , I love the design of the vehicle, I just wish Ford would make a bigger version of it .
@51AB
Nah, the sport is the only model that's comfortable to drive , they should've made it bigger !

Just needs big lift and bigger tires lol
Yo that was Hella sketchy at the end!

МТ tires and - ✌🤙💪
If only they just went with a transfer case and rear locker

A guy once told me: "It's a toyota, it can handle more abuse than this" ... 🤦♂️
Have a Land Cruiser, but still I wouldn't subject it to this type of abuse unless it was a matter of life and death.@@Agent.K.
abuse it? theyre just using it, finding it's weaknesses, and then fixing it and make it stronger.

Let’s see an equinox out here lmao

Can you tell me on this Bronco is the same all-wheel drive as the Escape?
