They will call u for surgery as per their need . Although initially u may not get many calls, but gradually with time, u will b able to establish urself . Uay get calls from ICU for RT insertion, or Lumbar puncture or intubation too , or from MRI units also If u hv ur friends, batchmates from surgical branches, it would bcm easier .

Because of the high risks, lack of recognition, lot of night duties, fights with surgeons, stagnancy in career after initial 10 years and relatively low pay. 5-10 lacs is for HODs only in cities.
I am worried , what will happened with my son , he is doing MD anesthesia GMC ,3rd year after October 2024 , as per your views , it's not as wonderful branch as others are . I am very much worried.

Physical nahin hota but verbal hota hai surgical branches me khaskar... Its a complicated, cultural issue in our medical field.... No easy solution... I believe strongly from first year second year itself ragging should be stopped.. If its continued it chsnges mind forever.. Whenever you are in stronger position you may do such behaviour towards weaker subconsciously without feeling anything.

MD anesthesia is good option if you can do hardwork in intial years... But if you want relatively cool start than DNB respiratory.. It would provide you opportunity to open up a clinic and attach to a hospital.. Or later you may do dnb cardio

If you want to do opd practice then md resp... Its grear branch for practice... But if you want to do job or freelancing then anesthesia... For Better DM prospects too anesthesia is better..
