    Dear students,
    Its My last video
Every branch is good.. One may get success in any branch for example Dr B. D chourasia or Dr PARK got non clinical branches but they wrote highly succesful books..
Moreover perception or definition of success varies among different individuals..
In individual cirmustances any medical branch has the potential to be top pick...so dont follow me but take it as experience sharing because you would realize what I was telling only after 10 to 15 years from now...
But as selection of branch affects our outlook , identitity, nature, life style, family time, money and social recognition, mental health, its important to be informed well before picking up branches.
A decision which could affect almost every aspect of life should be made carefully..
Its confusing sometimes that we have so many branches, colleges, DM or DNB or diplomas to
    Pick..
Professional Success in life is multifactorial but
While picking branch we have to see probabilities of getting success...and risk benefit ratio probability.
And these videos are based upon experience of professional around me and my own experience... Which may be subjective views..
Hope all these efforts would have been beneficial to at least few students....
Probably this would be my last video as I think I have compiled enough for students, I have better things to do for my patients and for myself...
Whatever I do I always keep an eye to see whether those things are useful, worth for many or not... If I find worth I give my more then 100
    Percent otherwise just be widrwan.
After reading few comments on previous videos this is my decision not to indulge in this anymore..
    Yours Dr. Avyact
As I promised to guide on radiation Oncology..
Students can ask me questions on this post or any other video, I will answer your quesries but probably video's I wont make.
All branch playlist just tap it

Its great branch for doing practice or for doing Dm cardio..
For Jobs prospects not that good if you dont do DM..
But if only PP then one of the best broad speciality I will keep it above medicine and pedia for only practice prospects.
Hope you watched my video on resp medicine and read description of video too.

@@DrAvyactAgrawalintervention radiology is a life saving branch in many cases. I have seen them working at Narayana hospital kolkata doing cases like embolectomies where ctvs just surrendered. Also arterial coiling done in aneurysm, controlling git bleeds, pph, ischemic stroke mx etc . The only thing one can have issue is no direct patient recognition. But I have seen that many IR maket themselves very well on insta and youtube for the needle puncture alternative for open surgery like thyroidectomy varicocele fibiroid(all scarless)etc and are now not only recognised well but running outpatients very well. Waiting for Avyact sir to make a video on it and give more clarity on this topic🙏

@praveenshukla1098 actually convinced with all your points.... Extremely valid.. And really thanks for answering it so well...
Catch is they should be hired by really good setup to receive these challenging cases and post procrdure monitoring and aseppsis should be excellent in a given hospital..
Good for tier 1 and tier 2 cities.

Quite surprised not to see radiology in the top 4 list . Doesn't matter what croteria is set to make up the list, radiology should have been there considering the fact that you have included derma and psychiatry in the top 4. List could have been valid had it been late 90s but in the modern era you can hate or love radio , but you cant just ignore it . Be it work life balance , salary , job opportunities or super specialization it has upper edge in all the aspects. AI is and will never be a threat to the branch ...it will just further aid in making the branch better snd broder . So with all due respect i beg to differ from your opinion .

    • @DrAvyactAgrawal
      @DrAvyactAgrawal  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +11

List is for me not for you...
As I have already said in the last segment of the video...that dont follow me... For ur circumstances and choice any branch could be a top branch for u..
For me any dependent branch on hospitals or other doctors referral can't be a top branch.....
As you will be replaced by younger one..eventually..,After few years.. if not having enough recognition in the public directly..no brand image...
      Corporate
      Hospitals cheat doctor's
through them out in little disputes with managers...Force them to use fixed companies stent ( unethical )
Radiation exposure risk hazards particularly girls cant work during entire pregnancy...
So u dont know how much varied experience I carry... Because of my experience I made my list mentioning... Radio is an excellent branch...
      IR having miraculous procedures ....
But.. Not having follow up of patients and not having opd is a big disadvantage... Again not for every one...
So many procedured have overlap by other specialities.... Why they send their opd pt to others until they cant handle them..
So cardiologist, neurologist, gynecologist, urologists, hospitals are their primary feeder they provide them cases... Follow-up returned back to feeder...
Commissioning fellow doctors, requesting fellow doctors to send pts is highly disrespectful for me... I want to be independent... Professionals thats why my list is my list not yours...
You can definitely and should go for those unbelivably effective procedures... Eg.. Embolism, throbectomy... I respect them because of their skills and impact..
But I will be happier in treating simple, easily preventable and treatable health conditions of many..rather then rare few..
I want, to interact with 100 to 200 pts daily... And will happily refer out complicated cases to IR...
We can't force anyone to choose something acclcording to our experience...so my list shouldnt offend you.
One more thing.... Jablpur has 125 pediatrician like any middle city..only 1 IR and one neurororadiologist
But people recognize and fan of atleast 25 Pediatricians but they dont know who is IR or Neuroradilogist...... Only hospitals know them..
After studying so long just for sake of treating complicated cases I won't choose myself such life...because of heavy opd if I open up a hospital it will be filled within one day and I will appoint One IR on call..
But no IR can ever afford me to appoint...
Hope u understand now why those were my choices...
AI won't snatch work is a myth too..... Yes u r right it will be an advantage to the radilogy diagnosis and procedures....
But not an advantage to the radiologist... As fasten work by sigle Radilogist will decrease work for others...
Corporate will value u till u they dont have an option...as soon as options created... They start reducing salaries... Like happened to intervention cardilogist
( salary is only 1.5 to 2 lakh per month in metro cities )
I worked in corporate ( escort ), AIIMS, MAMc, private medical college, govt medical college, local pediatric hospital and did PP..... My childhood was in a room of civil hospital pachmarhi.....as
My mother was MPW... We lived near PM house.. In a single room of hospital storage room...
I Understand patients and doctors in depth..
In my experience I will pic those branches..... Which I love as a doctor...
But obviously wont choose for u
.. I will respect ur choice and will say best wishes..
And yes will be uploading IR interview tomorrow.... Unbiased , objective, practical questions I will ask and wont edit any of the answer...
Having said that I may be completely wrong too.... In my choices...
So thanks for watching and giving your
      Honest opinion.respect.

@@DrAvyactAgrawal true sir . That's your opinion but I again differ . The Era when doctors were treated as superstars is over. True ,radiologist never get the recognition and will never be famous . Now with so many doctors in the country , as you said 125 pediatrician in a city , which will only increase within few years , the ease with which clinicians used to be famous is not an uphill battle . It will be all about ease and access. And most of the clinics at present do depend on brokers for their clinic to attract patients. So they aren't independent in true sense as well. Truth be told no branch is entirely independent in the modern Era. You might not choose to refer a patient to a radiologist but you will require imaging done if you want to correclty diagnose a patient. So even if a clinician doesnt refer a pt to a radiologist the patient will eventually visit a centre.
Some 20 years ago when doctors were few they used to be highly regarded but in modern times when medical seats are way more than what it used to be the stardom has definitely diminished. Also interacting with 200 to 300 pts in a day would not be possible if the quality of treatment is to be maintained .
If AI is to be regarded as a danger it will be a danger to all the fields , clinical subjects included. Fame is a double edged sword as well . One day some one is famous and the other day eveyone is trash talking about the individual. All these being said I agree that branch selection is a personal choice and it all boils down to what is important to you as a individual. Personally for me patient interaction is a hassle and fame is a headache. I love solving puzzles and looking at variety of cases there are. This is the benefit of radio I guess to enjoy coffee ..look at variety of cases ..go on vacations with just a laptop and work remotely . And about being to afford a fellow doctor ...anyone can afford any other individual. IR and diagnostic radiologist can definitely afford you or any other pediatrician...you might choose not to work there ..that Implies the other way round too ...you might be able to afford one IR but he might choose not to work with you as one can definitely get a better offer somewhere else as well. AI might reduce the workload of a radiologist and it can do so in clinical branch as well . some articles does claim that AI can pick diagnosis upon symptoms input better than the human counter part . so even a mediocre, just mbbs passed doctors will also be equally able to treat a patient with just as much ease.
and i would most humbly agree that childhood does shape one’s perception of things , being born to a high ranking government official i have enjoyed the luxury of fame , money and power only to realize that it’s time with family and friends that matter the most but at the end of thr day it’s my viewpoint and i respect yours as well ..but of course i don’t agree with them 😁

Law and order implementation is poor in many states morever public has various misconceptions, firm beliefs related to medical profession...
Eg... Pt is being kept in ventilators Even after death...
With these kind of suspicios mind set of
Attendents it will always be mentally stressful to deal with acutely sick patients...
We need to manage as well counsel atttendents every decision like we are stealing something...
Cases of violance , litigations are severe random rare manifestation of these perceptions
Thats why I don't like thoss branches who deals with acute emergencies ... But this could be biased opinion I have after seeing things around me....
I used to be best pediatric critical doctor in my city... Contributed in saving very difficult to save children includin one 550 gm newborn..... Or crait bite..or GBS or encephalitis... Severe malaria, severe dengue, drownings, scorpian bites or severe dengue...
But I Left critical care on my peak eventualy and picked up opd practice and allergies....
Moreover as its not core UG branch faculty position in medical colleges would be cut down among your aspirations list..
Though corporate mutispecialllity hospitals will hire you and pay well and you may open up your hospital too..
So if someone is mentally tough to bear quarallsome attendents and really want to have thrill of saving difficult cases..can Go for emergency medicine or critical care...
Branch is good for big private hospitals and institutioms where adequate security is assured....
Lack of opd practice and follow up wont create your brand value among public inspite of saving lives..

Then, He will be getting an edge over MD Physio. Also, If a general Surgeon applies for a post of Proffesor in Anatomy. Then, he will be preferred over MS Anatomy.
