Ive been listening to How Long and Silent Running everyday this week(because they’re both great songs) and i had zero idea Paul Carrack sang on Silent Running until i Wiki’d him...strange....
The original was 80's keyboard heavy. I have heard a church version, acoustic guitar version, jazz version, and now this R&B tasty effort. Is there no style Paul Carrack can't add to? Of course, the song is so good, it will blow you away in any format.
PAUL CARRACK is one of the TOP 5 in my lifetime ( 55' on 5 /18)...*..Right there with Daryl Hall and Al Green, Joe Cocker & Marvin Gaye !! ~*......Johnny Rivers too !!
Old enough to have followed his career - I love the voice and composition and music of his in Mike and Mechanics and other forms .... always a raw but, middle of the note vocal quality. Great singer with only Paul Rogers his equal.
This man is one of the best singers in the UK. His live shows are brilliant. He's a talent alot of people have never heard .
