I saw that B5 pawn move without even knowing why. If I could play chess consciously as well as my unconscious mind sees things, I might actually be a good player instead of a mediocre one.
@@CorteumEmanuel was a friend of Einstein and supposedly Einstein won some of the games they played Einstein also playing against Robert Oppenheimer who seemed to be skeptical of some of Einstein theories
I was thinking the move was b5 to stop the knight from getting any further action, then activate the king. But SF17 said nope - Kc7 is +3.5, e5 is +3, while b5 is +2 @ 30 depth. All three are winning however.
@@no-one-in-particular It depends what settings you're using your GUI. I have several chess gui's, and not all of them evaluate positons from whites side. On some gui's you can also set it to eval from black's side. In any case, if you'd been paying attention to the video, Kc7 was clearly stated to be the winning move... so how could it have been minus 3.5? Use a bit of common sense.
Thoroughly enjoyed this game and all the games and commentary you bring. Thanks so much!
Can't believe Capablanca missed that early b5!! push. Must've been too busy chatting wth the ladies and got distracted 😂
Thank you, sir. Instructional and entertaining as usual
Suggestion : Amazed to have super analysis by you of a Neiz's game. Keep up the goodwork. ❤❤❤

It is probably worth mentioning that Edward and Emanuel were friends, and according to Edward, distantly related.
Wasn't Emanuel also a friend or acquaintance of Einstein's?

thx.. coffee/drink on me
I sure do appreciate your kind gift, thank you!
@@chessdawg I've enjoyed your vids for awhile so, cheers
Wow nice endgame Lasker played a great game but Casablanca taking advantage of any mistake being made Great game from both
I enjoy your great commentary and you are spot on.
Why didn't Lasker push the a pawn to kick the bishop? Then the queen couldn't even end up on a5. Just saying.
Probably because a3 Bxc3 bxc3 Qa5 still better for black.

Do you mean minus (for black)?
@@no-one-in-particular It's + from black's perspective.
@@Corteum No one notates like that. You should have written -3.5 etc. Why can't people just admit a mistake instead of digging a bigger hole
