Great stuff, excellent video! Here's to a even more successful year for Airfix! 🍻 ....and to each and everyone at Airfix, no matter how small or big a job, thanks for keeping the brand alive! 🤜🏻🤛🏻 I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Thank you for making my Christmas day with the #misticmug video I have mostly been the taxi driver for the day but was highly delighted to see the airfix especially the Lysander, thanks again Gary for posting on Christmas day
Currently building the Excellent 1/24 Spitfire IX. Franky if Airfix kitted the entire history of the Spitfire in 1/24 to the same standard I’d be delighted. A 1/24 Spitfire XII or XIV would be incredible.
I have found many of these old Chipmunk kits here on the west coast of Canada. The RCAF had plenty across the country. I have two. one built and one waiting. (I also have the 1/48 Airfix version.) I think the 1/72 pilots are the best that Airfix ever produced in 1/72 scale. I'm going to buy a few more Chipmunks just for the pilots. I also think well sculpted and imaginatively posed pilots should make a comeback in all kits. I prefer people to seat belts.
From Italy, on 1976 i built my Harrier 1/24, with main Gear w equipoed with lights, but It was demaged, I contact airfix, and the kindly send me the originale spare parts ti substutute It. In my experience I construct a lot of models and I can Say that at present they realized a very detailed models!!! Congratulations!!! Lucio
Come on Airfix, it’s about time you bring back the 1/48th Jaguar (including a 2 seater). And please produce some 1/72 (not 1/76!) and 1/48th diorama sets for the Cold War and modern RAF era’s.
1/48 th Whirlwind mk 10 please. With parts for standard & tropical filters. Also parts for RN mk 9 & Queens Flt mk 12. Huge scope for decal options considering the amount of sqns that flew it. We've only been waiting 50 years. Maybe talk to the guys at historic helicopters, if you haven't already. 🙂
Why? Spitfire the best and greatest fighter ever built and WW2 models have always been very popular with modellers of all generarions , 1970s great time to Airfix FAB 👍
Would love to see released Original Airfix 1/72 RAF Lockheed C-130K Hercules in the Middle East cam, also 1/72 Westland lynx British Army Helicopter orginally released by Airfix in the 1970's.
Can you tell Airfix to make an 18th century bomb vessel, or rocket vessel in 1/72 scale? For 60 years we model ship builders have had to contend with building the same model sailing ships, while airplane and car modelers get new ones to build every year!
That's something that would only appeal to a very small audience; probably have to go with the Accurate Armour kits (3 Northern Ireland versions plus the "basic" infantry vehicle) for the foreseeable future. They are very nice but pricey.
Dear Airfix, Odd that you don’t produce military vehicles/figures in 1/56 scale (=28mm). I don’t use it myself but it’s by far the most popular scale for wargaming these days.
If I see that man saying stickers again I'm going to boycott buying Airfix and also travel fron Somerset to give Dale a good hiding for allowing this to happen.... Just saying
I have a dream where i get a job at airfix. My day would consist of me walking around with a pen, tapping a clipboard. mumbling the words "not good enough, not good enough"
My thoughts exactly. 28mm = 1/56 has become the wargaming scale of choice. It’s big enough to be detailed but small enough to be transportable. So much unsatisfied demand out there!
Seriously need a retooled 1/72 Halifax and please stop recommending Humbrol 30 for RAF dark green in your instructions. It hasn't been a match since the early 60's.
More Spitfires, Hurricanes and Mosquitos etc please. Many are hard to get now and expensive second hand. More obscure WW2 models would be welcome too...
yep -we really do need more ME109 models as we "ONLY" have 92 (at the last count!!) different examples in different scales!! but in the meantime ,airliner modelers have to contend with basic ,crude 1960,s Airfix offerings and even in 2023 we are STILL yet to see a good, decent injection model of the iconic Boeing 707 in 1/144 scale being released 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Well they sell like hotcakes and make money for the company! Probably would outsell others by quite a margin so profit has to come first on this alone. However given the right subjects some other eras and types will sell well! Quite a balancing act to achieve for any company!!
@@royphilpot3349 yet others can do it so airfix have no excuse....far too much ww2 stuff and not enough jets and helicopters....like i said as far as subject matterr is concerned theyv are but a shodow of what they once were.
@@royphilpot3349 take helicopters for example.....while none of us know what they have planned for next year currently they only have 7 heilicopters across the line and 4 of them are sea kings.
Merry kitmas and a happy sprue year hears to another fantastic year of scale modeling looking forward to 2024
Merry Xmas and a happy new year to the team’s of Airfix for amazing 2023. I can’t wait for the 2024 range release.
The new releases from Airfix are absolutely fantastic kits. For Christmas I got a Fairey Gannet and Me410. Very impressed with the quality.
Great stuff, excellent video!

Merry Christmas Airfix Best Wishes for the New Year 🎉
A very exciting year, and I look forward to the next one!
Enjoyable as always, thanks.
A new 1/48 Westland wasp / scout Airfix please!!!!!
I'd be happy with NEW 1/72 versions!

I drove a Ferret Scout Car in 1999 in Malaysia 🇲🇾 who still had them in service 🔥 🔥 🔥

As a young lad I collected hundreds of Airfix toy soldiers 1/32 scale ❤
54mm figures - the return!
Who's with me?
Huzzah!

What happened to the Rotodyne that was due to be re-released in October?
PS, how about the islander/defender?
I love building Airfix models and have for nearly 60 years in spite of this guy. Does he actually know what he’s talking about? Stickers, my arse.
1/48 th Whirlwind mk 10 please. With parts for standard & tropical filters. Also parts for RN mk 9 & Queens Flt mk 12. Huge scope for decal options considering the amount of sqns that flew it. Should of giving you the yellow air sea rescue option
very cool Job :)
Can we get a venture classic release of the 1/72 tbd Devestator please?
Please, 1/48 Puma! Been in service since the 70's and still no 1/48 kit!!!!
I second the Puma in 48th. Also a 48th RN Wildcat would be most welcome.
Please can you make more modern military vehicles not so many ww2 in 1/72or76 keep up the good work happy new year to all
dunno where 1:43 came from but I reckon its just about the ideal scale.
Why?
Spitfire the best and greatest fighter ever built and WW2 models have always been very popular with modellers of all generarions , 1970s great time to Airfix FAB 👍
If they do another Spitfire, i hope it's a T9 in 1/48 scale
Would love to see released Original Airfix 1/72 RAF Lockheed C-130K Hercules in the Middle East cam, also 1/72 Westland lynx British Army Helicopter orginally released by Airfix in the 1970's.

Also what about the humber 1 ton 'pig'from northern ireland so many varients

When are the motorcycles coming back
Stickers? The warehouse guy is not a modeler obviously.
😳!(MASSIVE cringe!)
I don't think any of them are, judging by the products.
I'd even prefer hearing "deckles" as opposed to stickers.....

A 1/48 or132 me 410 and a new ship model eg HMS warrior
Wonder if there is a market for GA aircraft, military stuff is done to death.
They make military stuff because it sells. Certainly there’s room for other stuff, but will it shift boxes?
If I see that man saying stickers again I'm going to boycott buying Airfix and also travel fron Somerset to give Dale a good hiding for allowing this to happen....

Why don't Airfix make tanks / Vehicles for the huge Number of wargames ww2 ww1 28mm scale
You are missing a trick here
My thoughts exactly. 28mm = 1/56 has become the wargaming scale of choice. It’s big enough to be detailed but small enough to be transportable.

No more Spitfires, how about a new tool 1\72 Javelin.
