Ghost Love Score with Tarja. A song that Tuomas wrote for Tarja's voice, expressing how they were drifting apart at that time. The End of an Era version with subtitles. What the choir sings are powerful verses: _My fall will be for you_ _My love will be in you_ _You were the one to cut me_ _So I'll bleed forever_ But in the end, it's Marko who is closest to Tarja today. They sing to each other in Left on Mars: _I think you know that my heart still holds the rage, no_ _But you still believe in me_ _And I choose the mercy of your heart_ _I'm just looking for a home_ _There together we'll find home_ Marko apologized to Tarja, and now they have a great friendship.

This is my favorite version of "Phantom". Tarja is magnificent, and Marko, makes the grittiest Phantom ever. I am a huge Marko fan and, though he is no longer with the band, I am grateful htat we have had almost 20 years of his singing with Nightwish. If you want to hear what Marko and Tarja have been up to recently, I suggest you listen to the song "Left on Mars" which was released this year and features both of them. And, I think that there are a lot of us who can relate to the emotion that Nightwish can evoke. I came late to their music and only discovered them during lockdown. I can honestly say that they helped me get through that difficult period. I think you are really going to appreciate the artistry that is Nightwish.
Yeah, this is, in my opinion, the best performance of Phantom of the Opera. Tarja is the reason I started listening to metal. She hasn't been in the band for almost 20 years, but she has a great solo career. Marko recently joined her, and they have a wonderful friendship. Marko has called her his angel several times on the recent tour. For some Christmas vibes, I recommend something from Tarja's Dark Christmas album, like O Holy Night.

You definitely need to listen to her voice in the other End of an Era DVD as it's her last time with the band before they sacked her. Her voice really touches the soul.
Pronouncing Tarja's name?.... perfect!!! Fun reaction. Now you know one of the main reasons the band became so successful, and why so many of us loved the era when Tarja fronted the band. And I can pretty much guarantee that most people experienced the same chills you did when first hearing this performance. Tarja with Marco?? What a freaking awesome twosome they made...or make, considering their recent pairings during live shows while both of their solo bands toured together. Amazing. BTW, for more recommendations, just about every song from this same concert (End of an Era) should be experienced at least once before you die. :) Have fun exploring.
I'll suggest you listen to Marko Hietela's Left on Mars, featuring Tarja. Marko is the Phantom here. He left nw a few years back and reunited with Tarja recently. And don't worry. Tarja has that affect on folks. She and Marko are the best duo I've heard in ages
Best of all - after years of misunderstanding, Tarja and Marko are now BFFs, together on tour! Most of Tarja's time with Nightwish was difficult; she was very young, just learning how to sing classically and it was all up to her to figure out how to sing in a metal band. It was also a challenge to keep her voice healthy when she was constantly getting sick (she had the flu during this concert btw.!) and sleepless while touring on the bus with her bandmates who were constantly partying. Nowadays she really is a metal queen on stage and she has learned to bend her classical technique to suit her needs. I like her now way more than during her time with Nightwish. No doubt you'll get many NW requests, but I recommend taking a look at Tarja's solo career. She has an incredibly diverse catalog, drawing inspiration from many genres and sub-genres. My personal favorite is Victim of Ritual live at Woodstock, where she sings world class while dancing on high heels... while wearing a corset. 😂
Yea, I guess I didn't express myself properly. She did eventually move on to travelling by plane, but the problems remained as the tours were endless, the guys were drunk very often and Tarja rarely had a chance to communicate with them about important matters. :D
@@missingno.2732 Which she never tried to do whether the band were drunk or not, which was mostly not. Do you honestly think drunks could play sing and write music like that? I guess you're another one of those die-hard Tarja fanboys. Understandable - she had a good voice and was attractive. But from some of the things she said at the time she had no feeling for, or appreciation of her bandmates.
Yikes. The internet really does not need another one of these discussions. And there's really no need for you to make weird assumptions about me and my reasons for supporting Tarja. Floor is happy in the band. Tarja has collaborated with countless musicians by this point and afaik none of them has ever said anything bad about her. These two things make me believe that nobody in the band ever had any malicious intent. It's really sad and unfortunate how they drifted apart, but I'm not blaming anyone. It's just the result of their young age and different priorities/expectations. I just wish they had parted ways peacefully over "artistic differences", without all the unnecessary drama.
Goose bumps is the only response the first time you hear Tarja sing. Yo should check out their music with all 3 singers Tarja, Annette, and Floor. As for other artists to check out: “Joey” by Concrete Blonde. Johnette Napolitano is an amazing vocalist.
Tarja's voice is soo magical and powerfull. Listen to your songs is like start a epic journey, became better and better and you can't stop, she put a lot of emotions and feelings in her songs, its beautifull. I just wish one day i can go to her show and give to her a big hug and say thank for make my days better with your music.
Not only can bassist Marco Hietala sing, but he's world class! Most Nightwish songs are duets with Marco and whichever of the three female vocalists is current at the time. Tarja Turunen did operatic vocals from 1996 to 2006, Anette Olzen strong poppy vocals until 2012, and Floor Jansen ALL styles(!) since then. You better be ready for this! ALL Nightwish songs will affect you like this one. It has you now and there's no escape. You don't really need a list, seriously; ANY Nightwish song will do the trick. You opened the rabbit hole. You'll wish you did it sooner. Enjoy.
Great reaction, thank you for sharing with us! I suggest Ever Dream from Wacken 2013 (another great Marko's performance) and the Phantom of the Opera with Floor Jansen and Henk Poort, not for comparison but just for fun 😊
For me this is my favorite Tarja performance. I guess there is also a reason they have never tried to play this song with Floor : 🎼 Nightwish - Swanheart - From Wishes To Eternity 🎶 Remastered HD 🎶 th-cam.com/video/0sc-VNppXhs/w-d-xo.html the ending when she sings together with Emppus guitar is just sooo great ?? then "Walking in the air" and "Deep Silent Complete" from the same concert, these are songs that were also never sung by Floor so no need to compare them here. Then as a faster song check her version of "She is my sin" and then just watch the whole show, like i did numerous times in the last 25 years.
I understand what you're saying. Until I found Nightwish, songs were just that, songs. Nightwish performances are so much more for me than just songs. They are musical Journies. You can just sink into the music, leave the troubles of the world behind and enjoy the Journey. The great thing, no two journies are the same! No music has ever really been able to do that for me other than a few pieces of classical music. I truly hope you find that they can do the same for you. As for song recommendations, you'll no doubt see that there are differences of opinion in the Nightwish Army about who the best vocalist is - you know who you are ;) Therefore I'll give you one from each. Tarja (btw, you pronounced it brilliantly) - Sleeping Sun (Make sure it says "Tarja"). Floor Jansen - Story Time (Wacken 2013). Kind Regards from the UK.
Welcome to Tarja and Marko!!! They have reconnected and are touring together which is such a treat for us fans. Marko recorded the song "Left on Mars" recently and it ft. Tarja, so please do a reaction to it. To see more of them with Nightwish, try "Slaying the dreamer" and "The Siren" live from End of an Era and "Beauty of the beast" live in Amsterdam

I'm guessing others will fill you in about Floor era Nightwish soon, but these are the ones that I think work better with Tarja: Sleeping Sun and Wishmaster.
Another great , actually my favorite symphonic metal band is Epica from Finland as Well Gir a truly beautiful song and performance with orchestra and gorgeous singing is epica live on retrospective tour 2013 Song is Chasing the dragon Its an experience and my favorite live and I’m 58 and fave seen hundreds of concerts Great channel Peace 🤘🤘🤘🫶🫶🫶
ALL hale the REAL TRUE QUEEN 👑 of NIGHTWISH and of ALL FEMALE SYMPHONIC METAL SINGERS!!!, the very beautiful looking and very unique voice of the enchanting TARJA!!!😀👍👍🤘
If you add to this performance a version with Floor and Henk in "Beste Zangers" and another in the same composition with Floor+Nightwish(Henk) and then add up how many times you cried, the result will be three times in total.
Great reaction. :) I also recomment Tarja's solo stuff, songs like "Too Many" live from Metropolis Studios 2018 or "Victim of Ritual" live from Woodstock 2016. I saw you reacted to korean music, so maybe you're interested in japanese music too? If you don't mind, I would like to recommend you some japanese bands and artists. First is female solo artist Kokia, the best female singer I've ever heard, her technique is insane... I would like to recommend song "Gematria" live from Layers ~Lights and Shadows~ concert 2016, song inspired on buddhist mantras, Kokia created language for this specific song by mixing few languages like japanese, english, italian, french etc, she also used gematria there, it's way of writing words by using numbers, for example in english alphabet A is 1, B is 2 etc, original song is from 2009. Also song "Il Mare Dei Suoni" live from History concert tour 2012 is interesting, it means "Sea of sounds" in italian, full song is in italian and she's singing more operatic there, she's classically and operatically trained, but it's not her main technique she's using in her songs, original song is from 2008. You will also hear many back vocals (sorry, I'm not sure if it's called like that in english it's not my native language) all recorded by her. I recommended only live performances, because even is she's active since 1998, she don't have many MVs, only few from times when she was under music label, so from the beginnings. Another is band 女王蜂 (also Queen Bee in english), I hope you're tolerant, because their singer Avu-chan is transgender person, and she's also half black and half japanese, her father is from Africa (I don't remember now from which country), her vocal is insane, such beautiful voice, and that range, ahh... Song "火炎" (Kaen) live from The First Take TH-cam channel is amazing, on that channel musicians have one chance to perform song and it's uploaded on channel, this song they made to anime "Dororo" from 2019, and performance is from 2020, it's acoustic version just guitar and vocal, but it's not slow song, you can really hear Avu-chan's vocal abilities there, how crazy range she has. Another is "鉄壁" (Teppeki) also from The First Take, this performance is from 2023, but song is from 2012, very emotional song, must be really important for Avu-chan, you can hear, see and feel it. To noth songs you can turn on english subs there. If you like Nightwish, then maybe some symphonic metal, band Liv Moon, their singer Akane Liv is classically and operatically trained, and she's half polish, I'm from Poland, so it's very interesting for me. :) I would recommend their song "Never..." MV from 2022, very interesting song. Also their cover of Deep Purple's "Child in Time" from 2010 is incredible, because of Akane's vocal atmosphere of this song feels sooo different from original.. But there is only audio, this song don't have any MV or live performance. And now few artists from my favourite japanese movement called Visual Kei it's music, fashion and subculture, as music you can find there almost all music genres and musicians just love experimenting with music, as fashion, they are using a lot of makeup and hairstyles are often similar to those from anime or japanese video games (but Visual Kei was created in early 80s, so maybe hairs in anime and games were inspired on this movement, who knows), many western people when they don't kniw what Visual Kei is often saying it's emo because of makeup and hair, especially when band have dark clothes, but it have nothing to do with emo, also saying that musicians are girls, probably because of makeup etc, but in reality most of musicians are guys, even if they looks like girls or are even crossdressers, unfortunately there's not many women in Visual Kei... This movement was formed by band X Japan to show japanese society that being different, looks different, and also talking about what you really think and feel and also about difficult topics is ok that there's nothing wrong in it. At the beginning Visual Kei was very popular but in 90s it started to be niche and is to these days, unfortunately... But I love Vkei music soo much! And there are some theatrical elements in vocals, musicians' behavior etc, and everything is using to create art music, visuals, MVs, live performances, it's full pack. :) First band I want to recommend is rock/metal band The Gazette, my favourite band and first ever I've heard from Vkei. I hope you're ok with some metalcore and harsh vocals, song "Blinding Hope" MV from 2021 was released for fans in covid times, song about depression and isolation, but there's always hope... You can turn on english subs there. And beautiful but very sad ballad "Pledge" MV from 2011, very emotional song with beautiful orchestration. Another is rock band Deadman, legendary band, even if originally they were active only for 6 years (2000-2006), but they changed a lot one of Vkei subgenres, and since 2019 they are active again, I'm so hapoy about that. :) First song Ivve heard by them, and still my favourite, "Follow the Night Light" PV from 2005 (PV means promotional video, in the past many japanese bands were using it instead of MV), this song is kinda funky in sound, but also melancholic, all their songs are dark, deep and gloomy in atmosphere and lyrics are often about that dark side of humans. Also song "蟻塚" (Arizuka) live from Shikeidai no Elevator ~The Beginning~ 2020, great song and very interesting performance, quite creepy, but amazing, this song was released in 2003. Another band is speed power metal band 摩天楼オペラ (Matenrou Opera), I love their epic and speed sound. Song "喝采と激情のグロリア" (Kassai to Gekijou no Gloria) live from 2023 (their 16th anniversary concert) is just amazing, there is a capella part where their vocalist Sono really is showing what he can do, song is from 2013. And song "眠れる夜" (Nemureru Yoru) live from this year (17th anniversary concert), very beautiful rock ballad, one of my favourites, original song from 2009. Also something different, solo artist Kaya, he's crossdresser and bisexual, one of the few openly gay people in japanese music industry, he looks so gorgeous in feminine outfits. :) His music is mostly electronic and gothic, but not only, he always loved chanson (french songs from time between WWI and WWII), and also in last years he started experimenting more and more with music. Song "Salome" PV from 2012 is interesting, it's mix of few genres, fast beat, choir, even some back harsh vocals in pre-chorus, mix bud made perfectly. :) And something calmer and more pop, song "Rose" MV from 2022, such beautiful song. Even if Kaya is a guy and have male voice (in many older songs he's singing with lower voice, he has natural low timbre, but in newer songs he's singing with higher voice), the way he's singing is quite feminine and very elegant, there's something special and magical about his vocal, very beautiful. And last band, this time with female vocalist, quite bew band, formed in 2022, 黒曜日 (Kuroyoubi), it's rock/metal band, but songs which I will recommend aren't that heavy. Songs "Infinite Echoes" and "Ephemeral" MVs, both are from this year, and first one is definitely too short, wish it would be longer, because I really like this song. I hope you don't hate me for such long comment and such many suggestions. :D I would be really happy if you react to something from my recommendations. :) Have a great day/night!
I love Floor, but Tarja is better on this song. To me, what makes this version the best one ever is Marko. No one does the Phantom better than him. He’s the best male voice of his generation and together these two slay it. For more of Marko’s voice, try High Hopes, While Your Lips Are Still Red, or Seven Days to the Wolves.
Pausing during the video is fine. Many reactors stop the video before it's at the end and have missed cool and important stuff. That's what I tried to explain with a foreign language of english and probably failed🙂
Okay, if need to have a truly cathartic moment to maintain your sanity, see live performance of "Poet and the Pendulum" by Nightwish at Wembley in 2015. The song is a master piece in which the composer, keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen killed himself so that he wouldn't have to do so in real life. It beautifully expresses the phases of recovery from the deep depths of depression.
This is the first of a trilogy - First: Tarja, the original singer with Nightwish - Second: you have Floor (current singer) on a Dutch television show Beste Zangers (Best Singers) where she sang this with a Dutch musical theatre singer Henk Poort - and part of the deal was he would get to sing this live with Nightwish - so Third: Nightwish live with Henk Poort at the Viggo Dome - no one version is better than the others - just enjoy all three.....
Also , and this us not a criticism of your wonderful reaction , i always hear noobies 😂😂😂 refer to the women of metal as having angelic Voices but o are depicted as soft , passive beings My suggestion is they . Are more akin to SIRENS, badass mischievous strong creatures who amaze you with their vocal beauty are but also scare the piss out of you whilst they drag you under Just my interpretation Peace
Marko has a great voice, if you carry on with your journey you will hear him a lot. This is my favourite performance of the Phantom, generally I prefer Floor as she is more versatile, but Tarja obviously can sing and kills this🇬🇧 There is a new version with Floor and Henk port in Amsterdam which is worth listening to😊
Well, Ghost Love Score (Live in Wacken 2013) is the most reacted to video on TH-cam apparently, but there are so many songs (Shoemaker - which is super interesting both in lyrics and the music itself, and from the new album Perfume of the Timeless, The Day of..., Lanternlight, and scores of other songs from previous albums).

Enjoy.
Enjoy the NW journey! Keep em coming!
Kiitos!
Great reaction, thank you for sharing with us! I suggest Ever Dream from Wacken 2013 (another great Marko's performance) and the Phantom of the Opera with Floor Jansen and Henk Poort, not for comparison but just for fun 😊
The best golden era❤
THANKS !!!!!!!!!!! Now TARJA SOLO is my PASSION. Been binge watching her resumed tour with WITHIN TEMPTATION today at Wembly - EPIC DUETS ☮☮💘💘💥💥
TARJA! 😊🤘💗MARKO 🤘🤘🤘
Amazing that TARJA was ill ☮☮💘💘☮☮💘💘
For me this is my favorite Tarja performance. I guess there is also a reason they have never tried to play this song with Floor :
🎼 Nightwish - Swanheart - From Wishes To Eternity 🎶 Remastered HD 🎶
th-cam.com/video/0sc-VNppXhs/w-d-xo.html
the ending when she sings together with Emppus guitar is just sooo great ??
then "Walking in the air" and "Deep Silent Complete" from the same concert, these are songs that were also never sung by Floor so no need to compare them here. Then as a faster song check her version of "She is my sin" and then just watch the whole show, like i did numerous times in the last 25 years.
Thank you for this, I will have a listen to this song! :)
Tarja forever❤ Next please Deep silent complete from the Wishes to Eternity concert dvd.Tarja there sings like a siren and controls the croud!
Tarja4Evr 🙏❤️
Well, this started my morning just perfectly! I’m ready for the new day now! Great reaction! 🤘🔥
I'm very happy to have made your morning and I hope you have a wonderful week too :)) Thank you for your very kind words!
Tarja is The Queen dude 🖤🤘🏻

❤
I'm guessing others will fill you in about Floor era Nightwish soon, but these are the ones that I think work better with Tarja: Sleeping Sun and Wishmaster.
Another great , actually my favorite symphonic metal band is Epica from Finland as Well
Gir a truly beautiful song and performance with orchestra and gorgeous singing is epica live on retrospective tour 2013
Song is
Chasing the dragon
Its an experience and my favorite live and I’m 58 and fave seen hundreds of concerts
Great channel
Peace 🤘🤘🤘🫶🫶🫶
Yes please, Epica are amazing but they are a Dutch band, please check them out I think you will enjoy them.
@ dutch yes i F’ed up 😞😞🤘🤘
Thank you my friend! Epica is coming out shortly, already got them added to my list! 😊 thank you for the kind words
First band I want to recommend is rock/metal band The Gazette, my favourite band and first ever I've heard from Vkei.
Thank you for all this information!! I will save this comment for reference my friend 😁🙏🏻🙏🏻
@vhsVin You're welcome. :)
I agree. Marko, the best Phantom Ever! 🔥🤘
Ayup. Marko is the most menacing Phantom ever.
Liked your reaction and ordered your channel. I really wish if you would react to Geoff Castelucci and the acapella group where he is Voiceplay.
Thank you :) I will have a listen!
Marco❤!
Please react to Tarja Turunen - Innocence Live in Circus Life
About 20 years ago this concert
Marko Hietala Frankensteins Wife official music video 2024.
Nightwish Bless the Child official music video by Tarja .
Welcome to the real NW🌟❤️🖤🤘🏻
Thank you 🙏🏻
I’m sorry but this is a stupid comment.
Also , and this us not a criticism of your wonderful reaction , i always hear noobies 😂😂😂 refer to the women of metal as having angelic Voices but o are depicted as soft , passive beings
My suggestion is they . Are more akin to SIRENS, badass mischievous strong creatures who amaze you with their vocal beauty are but also scare the piss out of you whilst they drag you under
Just my interpretation
Peace
Oh dear.... What is gonna do Dead Boys Poem , Poet and the Pendulum do to you?
Marko has a great voice, if you carry on with your journey you will hear him a lot. This is my favourite performance of the Phantom, generally I prefer Floor as she is more versatile, but Tarja obviously can sing and kills this🇬🇧 There is a new version with Floor and Henk port in Amsterdam which is worth listening to😊
Can you react to Seventeen-Love, Money, Fame mv please!
I will look into this, thank you! 😊
Please could you react to: ANDY GILLION - 1988 (feat. Li-sa-X)
I will definitely have a look my friend! Thank you for the recommendation :)
Great reaction, a new subscriber here. Check Weak Fantasy live at Wembley 2015. Greetings from Finland!
Thank you for the kind words friend :). Will do!!
Everdream Wacken 2013
You have to hear also a new version: Nightwish with Floor Jansen feat. Hank Poort.
🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
@@ALINA-ye2eu It's also very good? What is your problem with it?
@@marikkijylha6572sorry, it’s not good. Floor only can belt(scream), her voice is poppy and tiny for this thing
@@ALINA-ye2eu I'm Tarja fan for sure - and I love her version so much, believe me.
