miss this indie era
Me too Bro
They're back this year 2019 with new material.
This era lives on in our hearts and minds 💕 💯
Lol... This wasn't really indie. The 80s and 90s had the real indie, independent labels, putting out decent independent music that wasn't fabricated by the big music companies.
Same here this was the gold era of this indie phase... it was the same time coachella had the best line up and everything was simple and humble :)
I would do anything to go back to this period in time. So many good songs so many good memories attached to them.
youtube algorhythm dropping bangers 10 years too late again
I was sent here too that way lol
So the algorithm reminded you of a song you were likely to know 10, or so, years ago? Pretty sure it worked.
Definitely just worked for me.
wtf, same here.
lol this comment sums it up
That bass line lives in my head.
It was always Bombay and Two door for me.. still is
And Tokyo Police Club :D
Found my people :)
YES YES YES
Me too chloe b
Always Bombay
Oh the amount of time I've been searching for this song.. those were dark times.. It's all better now.
stuff4ever good for you brutha 👍🏽😊
how are you man
Kfc man
Really glad things got better for you :^) i hope life is still treating you kindly. xo
This aged poorly. We are all dead
I listened to this band since i was in high school and was always hoping they’ll come to malaysia. But they never did. After 15 years, only now they’ll have tour in asia and finally got to watch them this november! I cant wait!!!!
Same pal. Today in SG!!
So you were there yesterday at Zepp KL? It was surreal!
@@heyheymaizo YESSSSSS. I CANT BELIEVE I WAS INCH AWAY FROM THEM 😩😩
@@leamarini6958 Me too! Haha. Was at the very front. I also got into them from the first album. So glad there's enough of their fans in Malaysia (i was skeptical of the numbers) for them to be able to come here. Got myself one of Jamie's guitar pick. Yeay!
@@heyheymaizo i got guitar pick too! So jealous of them who got the drumstick hahaha!
It's insane how young they were when they wrote these masterpieces.
I just saw them live yesterday and I wouldn't recognize the singer if you held a gun to my head, but the voice though! Unforgettable.
This band kept me sane at a very rough part of my life. And now that things are well, it feels good to hear them again.
Same
🫂
Stay strong friend don't stop fighting Ur stronger than u realise ❤😊👍🏻
I know that feeling, my friend. I truly do. Big Love!
This song is special to me, for some reason.
'Try to look proud but you're not in the slightest. It's happening now and it's always been like this.' gets me everytime. Touching.
You’ll never shy away from perfect pop tunes….cause’ it’s Always Like This…..
I used to listen to these guys in highschool. graduated two years ago. time sure fly's by. I'm glad to see people still discovering this band. I hope it brings them as much joy as it did me.
I'm currently in high school and i discovered this awesome band yesterday. This song made me happy, i'm planning to listen to the whole discography so if you have any recommandation i would be glad to know it ! ^^
It did!!
nicolas iacono listen to the boy I used to be ep
In highschool right now and loving it
It sure does
makes me sad people are only just hearing of this band now 10 years late. I remember the whole indie dress phase around 2010-2012 with all these bands. drinking and smoking in fields in the summer, fires in the winter and good friends listening to the likes of bombay bicycle club, two door cinema club, the kooks, arctic monkeys etc. and who can forget the guys wearing them cream chinos. what i'd do to relive it all again.
you never know you're in the good times till their gone
@@KnightZexen so true :(
i'm livin it now... but alone. ;'(
@@Dan-ol7ed good music never gets old :)
Chino crew right here and a pair of vans white t 😂😂😂😂
All their albums have a unique sound, but their debut was so raw and frenetic. I remember having it on my car back in 2009. The really give the indie ‘scene’ and kick up the arse.
my brother always had this album on a burnt cd that was always in the car when i was in primary school, hes passed on and i always hold this band very close to my heart
10 years... still fresh. There are so many things to appreciate about this song and video. From the suburb coloured garages to the parks and then the change of mood near the end at night, before sewing it up. Lyrics, music, bass line, video pauses...etc.. I love it.
This is just pure perfection. I can't even begin to explain my love for this band.
I don't understand why these songs are less viewed or listened to. It's a masterpiece
I almost forgot about them, now they showed up in my recommendations, bless the algorhithm! I honestly don´t really like their more recent stuff but early bombay bicycle club... those were the days man
god I feel helpless against the time just racing on without a break, soon we´ll all be old
Poor management and they became mainstream and lost their core fans while chasing paper
It has more than 150 million views though, when you count Spotify! Quite a few people listening :)
@@JemSquash94They still made a few great albums - their talent for songwriting seems to have waned now though…..along with their hair!
found them again by chance looking for records in a shop. slowly felt my heart break and restore itself in a minute, realising how fast time has passed
That bass drop at 2:35 will always be special ❤️🔥
@Samuel Powell thanks mate, will make sure to check them out 🙌
That bass line is just haunting...
Not sure if "haunting" is the best description. It's definitely fire though.
u right
@@johnnyhunter I can understand it being haunting
Nobody couldn't describe it so well...
It’s actually quite uplifting...
It never gets old
Rebecca Felgate vft
One of my top go-to songs
This song brings so much memories... when I used to have a humble collection of indie songs in my iPod touch morning benders, tdcc, the kooks, passion pit and more
You have excellent taste
Aisha Abdella why thanks and so do u :)
Passion pit !!
Indie music change my music taste it the best
I've been listening to the band for over 2 years now and their songs are still not monotonous?? I wish more people recognized more bands like this one, and showed further appreciation for such music. Such a simple, yet such a gOOD SONG!
I'm so excited that they're FINALLY going on tour!
Went to see them in Manchester last Monday. Missed them the first time round, won't be forgetting that night anytime soon!! Amazing!
And they’re coming to Mexico 🇲🇽 on May
Coronavirus: allow me to introduce myself
@@marcosgallagher5299 FOR. REAL. I hope most of their shows get rescheduled instead of cancelled.
Less than a day and I already miss this band, please come back soon Bombay :(
I'd rather not, would you?
+Masseffect7000 Yes. Almost defiantly.
definitely, not defiantly...
definitely and defiantly?
Back this year they can't wait they said 2019 xx
That base guitar riff is heavenly.
it has been an absolute privilege to have seen you guys live.
I am guessing they r dead?
@@Bobacat0no, they are still making music and touring
I can't lie. This is my favorite song. I heard this on spotify like a year ago, and youtube randomly dropping it on me today let's me know that everything is connected.
i also rediscovered this song from like a year ago. Totally forgot about this song
daaaamn that drum beat is great
My son is 1 and he loves this song. He stops what he's doing to listen to it, it's so cute!
I love how they look like they just got back from school. It shows that they're just normal people making music, beautifully. It's like they're just making music in a garage, and yet it's still amazing. I love BBC!!
This song never gets old!
@Samuel Powell Comment this a couple of more times man haha
This will always be my favourite song by Bombay Bicycle Club. It has a message I relate to and is played in a way which excites my ears, what's not to love.
That riff in the hook where the two guitarists play alternating chords just sings in your ears even after all these years
4 underrated nerds dropping bangers in 2010 😢
I’m almost 50 not that an age matters, just discovered this gorgeous music, 50p cd a different kind of fix it was, liked the cover, my goodness I’ve missed out. Lovely music. It transcends. Just a shame I won’t hear this good stuff live. Be thankful if you did. Some of the songs remind me of arcade fire. Could be just an ageing person losing her stuff x
How the fuck is it possible for music to do this? It's such an unammed feeling but it's so.. Beautiful
God this really hurts to watch. It was such a wonderful time in my life.
I keep tearing up listening to this, i miss the past so much. 'I'm not whole' really hits now.
@@emily-vn2id Totally. Even more now that we can't really go anywhere.
I agree so much. I miss listening to radio 1 when it was so good
TH-cam recommends a song and I fall in love with it
Come to find out it's from ten years ago
I can't believe it
It's always like this
This song has been stuck at 9.9 million views for quite some time, which is strange because I've listened to it at least 10 millions times
Still in 2019 in my opinion one of the greatest indie bands around, glad to say they were a part of my childhood🤘
Love the bass line on this amazing track.
The girl that got away introduced me to this song.
Oh my god, what I'd give to go back to the year 2010 and do it all over again...
I would go back and eat more fiber. Maybe brush my teeth more. Regret is real pain.
@@psplayer1344 damn son you got gingivitis?
this song made me feel something for the first time in a while, thank you.
A friendlier time in music. Miss it.
Loved it when it came out. Still love it and this clever and cool band.
Did anyone else like this as they said, "like this...like this.... like this.... like this...?"
I'm feeling so old and nostalgic right now. I'm here for the college memories. The best days.
The fact that I’m more than 10+ years late to knowing of this amazing group is really depressing. Better late than never!
check out Hippo Campus
Bombay Bicycle Club was one of my first indie crushes back in the days but honestly Mr Jukes is hiatus worth project! Really love Mr Jukes' music!
I fell in love with this band in 2010/11 with this album and loved the others that followed. Seen you guy at T in the park one year. Great to see yous are releasing more music but this song will always be the one that made me a member of the Bombay Bicycle Club x
One of the pivotal british indie songs. Bittersweet memories hearing this one.
Ahh, why did I find these guys so late? They're simply fantastic.
I'm so glad you've reformed as band, i got into your music just as you broke up and was so upset... I cannot wait to see you play live your songs have played a big part in my life :)
I was looking for Pompeii and I got Bombay, but honestly not disappointed
Man i love this bad it should be popping its the perfect time to make a comeback
Well, they are making a comeback.
@@haziqzaq yes mate just watched the music video of their new song
it should be popping
@@coaltin2509 yep this comment is from a year ago thanks for reminding me it existed lmao
This is the Indie I miss every dayyyyy.
Just discovered this song now. Wow....what a catchy and beautiful song. Listening to it on repeat for hours
His voice shakes, but it's such an enjoyable sound. Such as Conor Oberst's voice.
I thought it was his voice when i heard the beginning :)
He gotten way better in the new music
If you're young and talented, it's like you have wings.
So youth and talent is a side effect of redbull?
I wish I was a bird
@@avp927 no, they're clearly saying red bull is a side effect of youth and talent
love the math rock/midwest emo the main riff brings to the table
One of the few bands that can come out with three amazing albums in just five years! Can't wait for the next one!
Sounds like an Southern African band. Brilliant.
DIA BOWA MO MON
One of my favorite songs from this band, amazing live!
my favourite band in the world it is impossible to dislike it
oh I like this thanks Lou
Who doesn't love some good old BBC?
Still stopping by for this classic .....
I still listen to these in 2019. Love their style
We're at some days of finishing the 2016 and this stil sounds so fresh. I miss music of this kind...
Kinda regret I only discovered their songs on 2019 while I was already into indie music like TDCC and Arctic Monkeys on 2010ish. I wanna go back to 2010 and discover BBC at that time. Their songs are pure gold.
long live VHS!
You literally make the exact best music for my ears and brain. How incredible.
@Samuel Powell awesome, thank you for the recommendation! 😊
This guy's are underrated
Agree
Jack is and will always be daddy.
Melissa Cruz rip grammar
Gonzalo Bustamante besserwisser
Gonzalo Bustamante what

Gonzalo Bustamante haha sorry I didn't know that rule. Thanks.
Ah yes, the bastion of my freshman year of college indie playlist.
BOMBAY IS BACK BABY!!!
Such a beautiful song
Finally, I hear good music. ;)
I'm back to hear this,
It's always like this.
Hi Angelina. Sorry in advance if we seem like spamming. We just wanted to tell you about our music channel. We are Surftons, a post-punk indie band. If you don't mind, please check our latest tracks on our youtube channel. Thank you in advance for your kindness. Have a nice day. ❤️
Jack, I gotta say...the "I look like I just woke up" image is seriously working for you. It's just more real or something. I like it.
this song is like a warm hug
Why is it taking me 13 years to find cool music
louis' music taste makes me so happy omHABSBS
The year was 2011 ♥️♥️♥️
I'm seeing them tomorrow!
Don't like you.
so jealous. :(
They were AMAZING. Hands down the best gig i've been to.
Caitlin Russell where did you see them?
Meah Espinosa I saw them at Exeter University. If you get the chance to see anyone there, go. It's a really cool place :)
This will always remain one of my all time favourite songs.
Saw BBC perform this last night it was unforgettable! They are such a talented group love them x
conheci essa mulecada no premio multishow a uns 7 anos atrás, muito obg pela visita ao Brasil e parabéns pela banda com músicos de qualidade.

I keep these guys hidden away in my secret stash of underrated artists. You're not allowed to become main streamed.
James Slavik hahaha. That's what I was thinking
wasnt this song on live 105
i want them to make money and get up there and for ppl to like good music lets make them mainstream tf
Yasss! 😂 But now the band has gone. 😭
Nearly 7 million people have seen this video. You're not doing a very good job of hiding them lol
the best son g iv ever heard
Cant wait till April 16th!
This brings me back to a better and easier life. Thank you.
Music like this..hipster, danceable, fun..memorable, timeless..
The world thanks you..
Today's world, music, hero's are trash..sad state of affairs..
i'm sure people thought exactly the same in 2010 remembering the bands from 00s and 90s. trust me there are bands now which are great too. but today's bands are not that big right now.
Still an absolute ripper❤
Always will be. The new single is a banger too
Ya i was late in discovering this band myself....really dig them
+ssab420 me too mate. ill still jam out to it
Same, love them
Yea they went crazy on this one
All grown up now, ❤
What a banger. ❤
Wish they’d come back as a group.
