Where can I get the drip edge you are using over the 2x skirting...Thanks for any info on that.

Hi Joe... Home Depot or Lowes, it is a common profile

For the drip cap, you used a galvanized nail to temporarily hold a piece in place why you were showing us things. Are those the same nails you would use to attach the drip cap around the shed permanently?

DominionofGod Yes, galvanized roofing nails are fine for this application.

I am planning to side with hardiplank to match the house, so I will be using osb over the studs, house wrap, then the fiber cement siding. I will be using the skirt with drip cap option. I'm assuming I would do the OSB the same way in that circumstance as you would do the smartside panels, with the drip cap behind the panels, panels, then house wrap, then trim and siding?

Hi Kenny... you would sheath the shed in the same way as a garage or house. However, drip cap should be integrated with the house wrap correctly (overlap on to cap so any water that gets behind the hardiplank can exit the wall). You may want to check locally with builders as there is a difference in how one wraps and seals a house in Florida versus say Montana. Same applies to vapour barriers, check around your area before starting to make sure you are doing it right (if there are a few new houses at the house wrap stage around, drop in and have a quick look). Drip cap would typically go behind/under the finished siding/material.

When talking about all the skirt stuff, you really must mention what kind of wood is being used as that part is critical to the longevity of the shed.

I am sure I mentioned that all trim used on the shed was cedar in the video on trim installation. However, subject to your location and cost of material, any rot resistant wood will be fine. We chose cedar as it is one of the most rot resistant woods, very easy to work with and seldom splits - but it is expensive for nice fairly clear material.

Thanks Henry. I forgot that, obviously, everything is on the Excel spreadsheet (big doh here)
