    One of the first demos of these tube-y mojo boxes where I can honestly say the original signal is actually being improved.

    Thanks for this in depth demonstration which I actually used as kind of a tutorial on what you can do with the unit and - more importantly - on how the parameters actually interact with each other in practice.

    Thank you for your video ! I have a tegeler VTC and an EQP-1 and I love tegeler. But the magnetismus is a unit I haven't really understood. But your video is nice and I understand how great this unit is and what it could bring to my mix and masters ! This unit seems to be underrated, but what this thing is doing is exceptionnal !

    I've been checking Tegeler out and so far I haven't seen ant gear that doesn't impress the hell out of me! Their ShwerKraft Maschine compressor is pretty mind blowing too with it's complex multi band mode and then some, and has motorized post for working in your Daw as does their EQ and the prices aren't bad at all for the quality you get, and there is the two week free trial that not many offer. They are going to go far, good German workmanship and ingenuity along with a great attitude. I would imagine you are keeping that in your rack.

    I really wish for this demo you had used sources that were not modulating, building up distortion or already have their own fake distortion on them . Just some simple strumming on acoustic guitar or bass with a source that is consistent with allow Alice to hear exactly what this device is doing and not be guessing as you’re turning knobs, the weather not it was the source that already had the weird distortion that was changing or that was building up like the guitar was.

    that is some straight up fucking magic... for making things sound this much louder and more pleasant you'd expect the transients to suffer, even a little but holy shit this piece of gear even manages to fucking enhance them
    edit: okay, when I get to see one, I'll make the sales guy lift the lid. I'm not buying that there is no tape in there. The way it makes things jump out at you...
    edit2: I never thought the Kush Audio Pusher plugin could ever become a real device. No way these crazy algorithms would ever make it into the real world. Yet here it is... fuck

    Hey everyone! I just purchased a Tegeler VTC compressor from germany and it just came in today. I have a few questions that are urgent so I can use it! First, It came with a euro power cord. Can I simply switch this out for an amaerican power cord? It also came over with different fuses by default. Which fuse should I buy so it work? I've already switched the voltage to 115v, but I am afraid to try and power it on without the first two questions answered. Can someone PLEASE HELP!!!

    What are your thoughts on using this in a vocal chain for a live performance? Is that breaking too many rules? Is this unit designed solely for studio?

    David.. is this different enough from the Fatso justifying getting it without too much redundancy? I'm guessing so as it seems to really work differently on the transients? thank.. Mick

    • @mixbustv
      @mixbustv  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah no, they are very very different. This would be to take the saturation circuit alone of the FATSO and expanding it as much as possible and giving it as much control and versatility as you can in the analog domain, adding many many parameter and different ways to react to the material. On the other hand, the FATSO also has compression and warmth circuit (which is different, totally different thing than the saturation circuit)

    • @micksinger5240
      @micksinger5240 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mixbustv Thank you Brother! So if I'm understanding clearly, even though both compress, and both do tape emulation etc... they are different enough that neither could displace the other... or come close enough deeming the other unnecessary. .. I guess you can think this way on many pieces that sit in my rack, like my Neve MBP, and my pair or Distressors do compression, and some emulation for richness, yet I'd not think any of them displacing the other. Warmest regards and All the Best..Mickey

    I’m not even through the vid but from what I can tell it doesn’t matter which knob you turn or when... every move sounded good!!! I can see how this would be amazing for music with heavy frequency modulation and oscillation. Those peaks and transients need love too! As always amazing vid!

    I like you and i can see you are very smart. For some reason i think you are not 100% convinced about tegeler stuff... of course they are not shit. Sure, they gave you some compensation for doing those tegeler videos and that's fine, that's also your work... but i don't see you using all their gear and that's key.
