Ya I just did a track day with my Camaro ZL1 on the Mosport DDT track, and I was at one point going to go full traction off and then decided against it. But it is VERY easy to get caught up in the moment during track days, the adrenaline is going and you are having a fun time and you just push it a little too hard or forget that you have TC fully off, it's so easy to forget about the little details like that. Glad no one was seriously hurt or anything, I would gladly let my car get destroyed for the safety of me and my passengers, like others have said, cars can be replaced you know. Thanks for putting this video up.
I can point the blame on you then :) your too fast and I was trying to keep up. Ultimately it was my dumb ass who turned off all traction controls thinking I am better than the computers..... Expensive lesson learned. Still working on getting the courage to get back in my mustang. Maybe I'll see you at blackhawk again this year. Stay safe
@@bberenz Get back on the horse. Slowly but surely, I have a white GT4 now that car kind of dances at the limit scares me a little. If you remember there was another Yas Marina M3 there that day, my father. I have driven the car many times, the way the torque comes in can be treacherous.
What group were you with? If you weren't with the advanced group you should always leave traction control on. You simply got on the throttle much too hard too early and hitting that rumble strip on the left caused you to spin
Sorry to see this. Hope you are ok. Cars can be replaced and bank accounts regrow. I crashed a Dinan 330 and went through something similar. It actually lead me to purchase my 2015 F80. No telling what the future holds.
What's that squealing sound as the car starts to turn right on it's own before the tires start to complain? 1:55 mark sounds like a light brake application.
Sport+ mode, T/C off and DCT. I was using paddles to shift. Left rear was on gator strip when i shifted. If you have one you know they shift hard in this comb and can break the back end loose on shift. I was driving past my talent level for sure.
@bberenz so you turned all nannies off besides ABS of course? Sport+ leaves DTC on (stability control is off) and you manually turned off DTC (I.e., fully disabled DSC)?
Heading to BHF this Friday for a Novice Day with PCA. Thank you for posting. I'ma try to avoid that unhappy ending.

I am just watching this for the first time. I was driving the GT350, saw in my mirror, scared me that was a hard hit.

@@bberenz i turned off traction control and spun getting out of turn 1 at BHF. Never again.
I support a prototype 1 team, run there every spring. those bumps exiting the final turn are no joke, likely the cause of your snap over.
Damn, that bites. Hate to see that happen to any racer.

Seems like you did not get injured - is that correct?
You alright?

Ive watched this soany times and I cannot tell what happened. Did the tire hit the grass? Mechanical failure?
