I got this cooler called Aicheson K1. its like an exact clone of the llano but 40 bucks cheaper. brought my CPU and GPU from high ninety's to low seventies and 60s . one of the best investments I've ever made. plus it has a dust filter and cool RGB
The square piece of foam you picked up is not a dust filter, it is used so that air which is pushed up doesnt exit throught the sides of laptop and instead is goes directly into the laptop it makes a airtight seal. Not a dist filter
@@MMillerPCs its not, it's actually for a seal and directing airflow without dispersion. Because if its blowing air out, it won't have any dust anyways. The only filter that would prevent dust is from the intake and that foam is where the air exists into the laptop.
I think a lot of the temperature and FPS improvements can be chalked up to lifting the back of the laptop up off the table. I have a similar laptop and it cooks itself if I run games on it flat but I have a much cheaper stand/fan cooler that cost like $20 from amazon that stands it up and blows some air into it and the temps are perfectly fine and it lags much less when I use that. The same results were had when I just used my glasses case to prop up the back of it as well so while it might do a little the fan probably doesn't really do enough to justify the amount of noise it makes
What about college students? People who love with divorced parents? People who travel a lot? Some people just need to use a laptop.. it’s a niche scenario but they do exist
@@MMillerPCsNot a Niche scenario. I work remote but sometimes i have to go to the office and try everything in localhost before moving to production. When there isn so much job or meetings I just call an uber and go to some friends house with the laptop. Many friends who are into tech works too prefer laptops. Getting a portable workstation is more real than ever. More than 16 threads in laptops are the actual norm.

Thx this was helpful I’m thinking of doing by one pc build for around £500 to £750 i was going to go with a laptop but i think pcs are just better

It’s so dust won’t get in the laptop…
@@MMillerPCs noooo 💀💀 as I said it maintains a air tight seal ( upper foam)........ the filters might be on the bottom side

Thanks for the info

@@dylan-nv5bd I wish I would have tested it on my stand to see the difference. I have a cheap stand that just has holes on the bottom.

If you ever consider buying 100$ laptop cooler you should probably be saving for an actual pc
