I am so glad you made this video. It was the deciding factor between going for cloning instead of a clean install. Macrium Reflect free trial worked perfectly for cloning and resizing the partition for the larger SSD. Took all of 10 minutes. Great video!
I‘ve done the same thing to my Blade Stealth, with exactly the same NVME. I’v used an external case for the old SSD and clonezilla for cloning because of the size differences. Work‘s perfectly and I‘m happy with the new space and performance. The Trackpad issue I also recognize with the Lenovo Legion y540, after an update of Windows it began to work.
I think 1TB is perfect for it! Definitely a sweet spot if you consider price per GB for NVMe SSDs
I have the "Razer blade stealth 13 early 2020" ... the screws in the bottom of the chassis, the ones you have to take out when you replace the ssd, require a Torx T4 screwdriver. This is for sure, the T5 is too big!! Make sure you get a top quality screwdriver with a tough head and the screws will come out easily! I used Macrium Reflect to make a disk image from the original 512gb drive, saved. Just restored the image to the new bigger ssd, using the Macrium bootable usb made from an ISO.
Is yours the one with the OLED screen or FHD?
Hey Dude! very helpful video, what is max size to be upgraded a stealth 13, from what year is your laptop, I have a Razer Blade Stealth 2019 and I want to upgrade up to 2 tb but I dont know if it is possible. Unless your device is the same year as mine, that means I could upgrade at least up to 1 tb as you show us.
i would like to upgrade the HDD on my razer book 13, is there enough space to install one with a heatsink on it ?

Why won’t mine work? I created the recover drive, replaces the old ssd with a new one, when I try to recover it says there is a problem. Now my laptop is useless because when I try to put the old one back in it’s not loading windows now
Please respond. What the max Ram capacity on the razer blade 13? And how many Ram slots does it have?
hey, the ram on the most recent razer blade stealth's is soldered on the motherboard, so there is no replacing it. The max amount for the early 2020 blade stealth and newer is 16gb. I think is plenty unless you are editing huge files in premiere or do a crazy render. Hope this helps.

Good question, I haven't used it, but it should be very similar.
Keep the sticker covering the phillips screw! I’m willing to bet that the sticker was covering the screw for the SSD so Razer technicians could easily tell if the ssd has been messed with (therefore invalidating an warranty)
In a scenario where the display stops working, could I switch back to the original SSD before sending it in for repairs (without revealing that it’s been altered)?
Hey man, so I have a new razer blade stealth laptop and I want to upgrade it to 1 tb. Could I just change it and be good or do I still need a usb with windows 10 in it? I dont want to transfer anything to the new ssd
Ok, the problem is that everything IS on that original SSD, so it needs to be transfered over (including Razer's recovery partition that you use to reinstall Windows). If you just insert a new ssd without cloning your original one, or installing windows from USB, your computer just won't boot (as there will be no OS). Am I understanding your question correctly?

That's weird. I did a clean install and the touchpad worked after rebooting :)
Bought the stealth 13 gtx used, formatted everything on it and did a fresh install, everything works.
