The point of the criminal justice system in America is everyone is entitled to a fair trial and the best possible defense. This is based on the constitutional right to legal representation and due process, which ensures that every person, regardless of the crime they are accused of, has the right to be defended by an attorney.

just because it is constitutional doesn't make it morally right. say I'm a defense attorney and I know for a FACT my client is guilty of murder and rape. defending him it that case doesn't make me a moral person, in fact it makes me the opposite. similarly calling a random person in the street a slur is well within my constitutional right, but it's probably not ok to do. I think this is most peoples quarrel with the whole thing is. of course if u have a low conviction for ur clients innocence, then most people are probably ok with that

There are a lot of false convictions that happens all the time, so the system is not perfect for the innocents and the truly guilty. But the solution is not that if you think someone is truly guilty no one should even try to defend him, it is the duty of a lawyer to represent a client, yes even when they think it's guilty, and purposefully sabotaging a case like that will also have an effect on your reputation as a lawyer and is very unethical in the profession. Bro prosecuting and defending are not the same thing stop saying "oh switch the roles and now it's bad"
The prosecutor STARTED the case, the defendant defends it, you can't judge them on equal ground because they are not on equal ground
You can't just tell a defendant "oh you gotta tell the judge your client is guilty" that's the same as telling a doctor "nah let your patient die", that's not how this works, defendants have a duty to defend their client and treat them as innocent, if they are guilty then they will be proven so in the court of law, and another difference between prosecutors and defendants is that even if you DONT defend your client, someone else will, I don't know how exactly prosecuting works, but I'm pretty sure the prosecutor has to look at the case their client is making and agree to go with it

I’m surprised how opposed X is to this guy, this guy basically represents people who were in situations like X when Adept made those false accusations about him.
He’s not just letting people out with magic, he’s following the rules relentlessly to show the truth if you have a problem with that then you have to take it up with the system not the individual lawyer.
If anything you should like Jayoma either way cause even if you don’t like what he does he’s giving a spotlight example of what you are mald about.
