- Seven San Antonio, Texas, police officers were shot after responding to a call of an apparent "suicide in progress." CBS News' Jason Allen has the latest confirmed information.

Why wasn't SWAT called in immediately after the first officer was shot???
Maybe swat isn't available like a pizza delivery service. Who knows what cities have what and what situations get priority. Maybe they were out doing something else. Maybe miscommunication of what was happening.

We dont know what was going on in the 46 year old 's mind. Clearly he didn't have a Wellness Recovery Action Plan.
Thank God, the 7 police officer's did not suffer life threatening injuries. We wish them all a safe a speedy recovery.

“No background checks” are you serious? Background checks are mandated in all FFL transfers in all 50 states
Background checks are required for all firearms purchases. They are done through the NICS system by the FBI.

@@carmy9890not exactly. If you're a private vender, the laws don't apply. They don't even ID kids and 14 yr olds have purchased from them. A gun store has background check. A private vender, like at a flea market or similar, has no laws tied to that. Look it up. I couldn't believe it myself till I looked it up. Of course, every state isn't like that. You can't do that in NYS, but you can in Texas.

We have a judge problem in the US along with an FBI problem. Alot of shootings, including this one could have been avoided.

I am so grateful for our 1st responders and relieved that all 7 officers will recover. I hate to say this but I really hope that we don't start seeing more of this now that trump has made it ok for people to attack the police. He didn't attack the officers he encountered last week but this week he suddenly felt allowed to do so against 7 officers. It doesn't seem like a coincidence and I really hope it stops here.
No officer was shot, try to keep up. Quit watching CNN /J6 was a protest, instigators came in to sell it as a riot.. They failed and will be in court for what they did. Trump is 100% for law enforcement, keep watching.
