I love these videos. One of my all time favorite memories was meeting you and John Allred in Tokyo, while I was playing with Gordon Goodwin, about 12 years back. The Ear Inn videos have taught me so much vocabulary and so many trad tunes, and I just love how you play off each other’s ideas. Thanks for the great music and inspiration.

Musicians who are at the top of their art . Great playing keep up the good work . Bit of Sweet Sue for good measure and we learn something new a tune based on Sweet Sue , one I've always enjoyed , learnt it from Chris Barber

@@JonErikKellso I listen , I got sick of listening , over 20 yrs of listening. I read an article that was like an epiphany to me , 6 mnth after reading the said article i bought a tenor trombone that was 4 yrs ago. I'm refining the less pressure onto the MP and playing well, the old experience shows .

@@johndowson7929 I understand being inspired to pick up the horn, but not the part about being sick of listening. If you want to be a player, don’t stop listening. Maybe you didn’t mean it that way.

@@JonErikKellso you must of read it wrong or i wrote it wrong what i meant by sick of listening was just tired of " just listening " I have and always will have the need to play music not just listen , I just phrased it wrong. I mean going from playing at a decent standard to not playing at all due to losing teeth.
You are correct in dnt stop listening but if we are players just listening is not enough, I'm talking about the frustration of being a player one day to not playing at all for the nxt 20 odd yrs . I think us musicians listen to music a little different to the usual listener aswell , we listen for the chord sequence and every note as subtle as it may be but we notice it . We sort of disect tunes as we listen. But yeah I was just so tired of listening without playing
